Chapter 95: Memories

Imogen pov

I knew what that meant, it was time for us to go to the courtroom and this time I was feeling nervous

"Imogen..."

"I know," I said before Adam could finish what he wanted to say

"My little angels, please come with me and Daddy," I said

"Ok Mom" They chorused and we made our way to the courtroom, it was on the other side of the park house

Adam's beta pushed the door of the courtroom open and just there, the elders sat on their chairs with straight faces, I could tell from the first day that I saw them that they weren't friendly at all and that was why I wasn't made the Luna of this pack even after saving the life of their previous alpha

I followed Adam to his sit but he didn't sit down, the chair was made of pure gold, and I wanted to touch it but I decided to control myself and act mature and unique in front of the elders

"Good morning Alpha Adam," I heard a Man's voice, I couldn't tell which one of them spoke

"We are glad that you honored this invitation with your mate and Children," Another Elder said, it was a different voice

"You didn't give me much of a choice," Adam said, With the way he sounded, he didn't seem to like them older, I wondered what walking around them would be like. "Damn! It would be like walking on eggshells around them" I thought

"You have proven yourself worthy of being his mate, although you lacked status before now you have one and it gladens my heart to tell you that on the next full moon, Adam Alpha will pack you the in present of everyone in the pack," One of the Elder said and a faint appeared on my face, it looks too good to be true. I was finally achieving my dreams and I was just a few days away from being the Luna but for some reason I was scared

"Okay," I said and sighed.

"You can go now," One of the elders said and I exited the room with my children

I took them to their room, "Mom, Dad said he was going to take us out" Sarah said

"He will, he will take you guys out once he is done from the meeting," I said

"okay" They chorused

"But you guys should sleep now, Have you nap, and later, before you guys wake up, he will be available to spend some quality time with you guys," I said and they nodded their head

I tucked them into their bed and kissed them

"I love you, Mom," They said

"I love you too my little angels" I responded. I made my way out of the room to my room. I sighed and wondered if Adam would be done with his meeting with the elders before they woke up. I knew that they usually have a lot to talk about, Pack affairs, and so on

I wish I had someone to talk to right now, I wished I had a friend but I have no, If things go wrong, I have no one to turn to, no friends, and no family

I picked up the phone and I only had three numbers on my phone and that is, Maxwell's number, Harper's number, and Adam's number, just them

Adam's pov

As soon as Imogen left the room with the children, Elder Mark stood to his feet and walked to Me

"Those kids will take after you and I Know that your son will be a great leader," He said, These are words that he rarely said, I was surprised but then I smiled and nodded my head

"There's a lot of things to talk about but I will advise that you spend a little time with your family," He said

"I agree" Another Elder replied

"Okay" I responded and I walked out of the room, I assumed that Imogen would be in the kid's room so I made my way there, Their scent was everywhere around there but the scent was faint

I opened the door of their room and I found my children laying on their bed sleeping soundly. I walked into the room, Imogen wasn't there, and that only meant that she would be in her room. She knew no one here and I was the only person she knew

I wished she had the opportunity to live a normal life like every other person, but the fact that her parents had died made her childhood miserable and that was when we knew. I found her in the forest, we were still young and that day I went for a run.

"What are doing there alone, What if you get hurt" I screamed but she ignored me, I couldn't see her face but she was all alone

I can't remember how old I was but I remember that we were still very young, "Hey, I am talking to you" I said and touched her back

"Let go of me, I know that you are one of them," She said and I furrowed my eyebrow feeling confused

"One of them? What on earth are you talking about" I asked

"I know that you are one of them, you can't deceive me as the others did, I don't want to talk to anyone, just mind your business," She said, it sounded like s whisper but I heard her because of my wolf voice, I wanted to walk away from her because I love minding my business and staying out of other people's hair but I couldn't just leave her, I couldn't walk away from her

"Is anything wrong?" I asked

"Please just go" She repeated

"I don't know what's wrong but can we talk," I said, that was what my mother usually said.

"Are you alright" I repeated

"No, I am not fine" She said and began to cry, she turned to me and used her hands to cover her face as she wept
