Chapter 94: The elders are here

Imogen pov

I dropped the coffee on his desk and turned to leave when I heard him say

"I'm sorry Imogen for today, I got so busy but I promise you make it up to you tomorrow"

"It's fine" I replied before exiting the room, I didn't want to bother him or stress him, he was already stressed and I was supposed to be his solace, not something else

I walked down the hallway and made my way to my room, I sighed and climbed my bed

The bright sunlight hit my eyes and I struggled to open them, I slowly opened my eyes letting them adjust to the sunlight, I hadn't closed my window last night.

"Good morning to me," I said and giggled as I made my way to the bathroom

I brushed my teeth and had my bath, I opened my closet and brought out a green dress to wear, it was perfect.

I opened the door of my room and came face to face with Adam

"Good morning," I said feeling surprised

"Good morning, how was your beauty sleep" He asked as I walked out of my room. I knew that Adam couldn't just come here this morning, I knew that there was something important that brought him here

"Fine thank you" I replied as I pushed open the door of the kid's room, they were still asleep and I quietly shut the door and we made our way to his study room

"Okay, The elders would love to see you and also the kids," He said

"I forgot to tell you yesterday" He added before I could reply to his first words

"Okay" I replied and then I was immediately reminded of what I also forgot to tell him yesterday

"I will be resigning from work at the city's hospital today, I'll send an email," I said

"Okay, well I think you would have a lot of responsibilities as the Luna, so you won't even have time to work," He said

"Hell No!" I said and chuckled, what he said was kind of funny to me, I wasn't going to quit my dream because of anything, although bringing with him and being the Luna of this pack is also my dream but I love helping the sick and I regretted it the last time I threw my degree into the cupboard because of him and I wasn't going to make that mistake again

"I'm thinking of working in the pack's hospital," I said and he turned to look at me with a concerned look

"Are you sure, it would be a lot of work" Adam said

"No, it wouldn't, I will be in charge of the women's court and honestly it's fine, If it's too much work then I will tell you", I said and he brought his hands to my face and softly touched it

"Okay, I don't want you to stress yourself," He said I rolled my eyes and he chuckled at my expression

"Same way I don't want you to stress yourself," I said and we both laughed

"So when are we going to see the Elders" I asked

"After breakfast" Adam replied

"You will be attending breakfast right?" I said

"Yes, I just want to round up a few things, I will join you guys soon," He said and entered his study room while I walked back to the children's room

I am assuming that they are awake by now. I could hear their tiny voice from inside the room. I pushed the door open and they turned to the door. As soon as they caught sight of me, they ran to hug me

"Good morning Mom They chorused, wrapping their little hands around my legs

"Good morning my little angels, his was your night" I asked

"It was fine," Billy said as the maid wore him his shirts, they were all fully dressed and ready for breakfast. We made our way to the dining table where their grandfather was already sitting

"Where is Adam" He asked

"I'm here" I heard Adam's voice and I turned to him, the kids ran to me and hugged him tightly, they wrapped their hands around his leg and I smiled. They looked excited to see him

"Are are my princes and princess doing this morning?" He said

"We are fine Dad" They chorused

"Okay, you guys are going to follow me somewhere today and after that, we would go and see the movies," He said and I giggled, he looked so damn hot

"Okay," They chorused and they let go of his legs. He walked over to me and kissed me on my cheek

"Hey," He said acting like this was the first time we were seeing him this morning

"Hey" I responded and my face turned red I hoped that he didn't notice it

"I have called a lesson teacher for the kids," Adam said

"Okay" I responded but the kids didn't look too happy about it, three of them were looking sad

"What's the matter," I asked

"We didn't like our previous lesson teacher," Sarah said and I turned to Adam

"Don't worry, this one is nice and I promise you that you will like her and if not, you can tell me," Adam said and a faint smile appeared on their faces

"Okay" they responded

Dinner was quiet and I couldn't help but steal glances at Adam I also caught him looking at me

"Are you enjoying the meal?" He asked and I nodded my head

"Yes, I am" I replied

After a few minutes, we were all done with breakfast

"Did the elders request to see the kids' son?" His father asked

"Yes Dad" Adam nonchalantly replied

"Okay," He said and he stood up from his chair and left the dining room, I advised him that he should rest every time so that stress wouldn't trigger anything and it seemed like he was taking my advice seriously

Adam's beta walked into the room, "Good morning ma" He greeted

"Good morning" I responded and he turned to Adam and said

"The elders are here"
