Chapter 86: Eventful Night

Adam's pov

I turned to Maxwell and looked him in the eyes. "I did this because you promised to give me back my kids," I said, my voice firm. He looked at me, his eyes wide. "You're right," he said, "I won't go back on my word. I'll make sure you see your kids" I felt a wave of relief wash over me, and I knew that I had made the right decision

We arrived at the villa, a large, imposing structure that seemed out of place in the city. We parked the car and got out, and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. We walked up to the front door and rang the bell. A few moments later, the door opened, and I saw a woman standing there. She looked at me, her eyes widening in surprise. "You're here," she said, her voice full of disbelief. "Yes," I said, my voice steady.

As the woman opened the door, her eyes widened in shock as she realized who I was. "You're an Alpha of a pack," she said, her voice trembling. I nodded, trying to remain calm. "I am," I said. "And I'm here to take my kids home." The woman looked at me, a mix of emotions playing across her face. I could see that she was conflicted

I reached for the door of the car, and I opened it slowly, trying not to wake the kids. My partner reached for one of the kids, and we carefully lifted them into the backseat. They barely stirred, their eyes remaining closed as we buckled them in. I did the same with the other kids, and then I got into the front seat and closed the door. The woman looked at me, her eyes still wide with disbelief.

Alright, here's what I'll write: "The kids were sound asleep in the backseat of the car. Their faces were peaceful, and they were completely unaware of what was happening. I felt a surge of emotion as I looked at them, a mix of sadness and joy. This was the first time that I had seen them, and I was glad that the moon goddess made a way. But I knew that there was still so much to do. We still had to get them home, and there were still many challenges ahead of us

As I drove home, I couldn't help but think about Imogen and the kids. I imagined the look of joy on Imogen's face when she saw them again. I knew that I was doing the right thing by bringing them back to her. I could picture us all living together as a family, and it gave me a sense of hope. I knew that it would be difficult, but I also knew that it would be worth it.

I pulled up to the gates of the park house, and the guards waved me through. I drove down the long driveway, and I felt a sense of relief as I pulled up to the front door. I parked my car in the underground garage, and then I made my way inside. I was greeted by the butler, who took my coat and hat. "Welcome home, Alpha," he said.

After making sure the kids were safely in their rooms, I made my way to my room. I was exhausted, but I also felt a sense of accomplishment. I had completed one of the most important tasks of the day. I changed into my nightclothes and got ready for bed. As I climbed into bed, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I was finally home, and I could relax.

I checked the time on my phone, and I saw that it was almost dawn. I was ready to sleep, but something was still on my mind. I couldn't wait to see the look on Imogen's face when she found out that the kids were there. I knew it would be a wonderful moment, and I wanted to be there to witness it. I closed my eyes, hoping that sleep would come quickly. But as I lay in the dark, my thoughts kept racing.

As I lay in bed, my mind kept wandering to Imogen. I wondered what she would say when she saw the kids. Would she be happy, or would she be angry? I couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to go wrong but I hoped for the best

I tried to close my eyes and relax, but it was no use. My mind was racing, and I couldn't seem to get comfortable. The more I tried to fall asleep, the more frustrated I became. I felt like I was trapped in a never-ending cycle, and I knew that I had to find a way to break it. But how?

After what felt like an eternity, I finally drifted off to sleep. But my rest was short-lived. I was jolted awake by a bright light streaming through my window. I sat up in bed, disoriented and confused. I blinked, trying to adjust to the light.

I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom, feeling groggy and disoriented. I brushed my teeth and splashed some water on my face, trying to wake myself up. As I stood at the window, I could feel the chill of the morning air on my skin. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, inhaling the crisp, fresh air. I could smell the scent of pine trees and hear the sounds of birds singing in the distance.

I walked over to the coffee machine and started making a cup of coffee. The smell of the beans and the sound of the machine brewing the coffee were comforting, and I allowed myself to relax for a moment. I took the cup of coffee and brought it over to the window. I stood there for a moment, savoring the warmth of the cup in my hands. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of the coffee.
