Chapter 80: The visit

Imogen's pov

After I was done eating, I made my way back to the underground garage where I entered into the car and drove out of the garage into the city

I drove straight to the house, I hoped that one of the servants would know something. I packed the car outside the house and then I got out of the car. I exhaled sharply as I made my way to the front door, I rang the bells of the house hoping for the best, I was praying that the servants would have something to tell me

The door of the house was pushed open by one of the servants, it was Danielle, an assistant in the kitchen.

"Danielle" I called

"Madam, good morning" She greeted and opened the door wider for me to come in, "Where's my husband and my kids," I said as I stepped into the house, I don't know if they knew that we were quarreling, I don't know if Maxwell told them anything but if not, it will be easier to get them to say something

"Ma'am, I'm sorry but I think your husband might be angry with you because he packed a few stuff for the kids and he left with them," Danielle said, I sighed, what was I expecting, was I expecting that Maxwell didn't leave the country with the children. I was hoping that he was lying

"Did he tell you guys where was traveling to?" I asked and closed my eyes hoping to hear a good reply from him

"I think it's Miami, ma'am," Danielle said

"Miami?" Oh my goodness! It makes sense, he has a big mansion in Miami and I've been there three times, he talked about going there with me and the kids this holiday and I guess that's where there went, this was the information I needed and I felt really glad that my visit to this house wasn't a waste of time

"Yes, I heard Sarah telling her brothers, She said her dad told her that you want to harm them so he wants to take them far away from this place," Danielle said

"Please don't tell anyone that I told you anything ma'am" She added and threw a faint smile at her

"I won't," I said

"Thank you Danielle" I added as I stood to my feet, I brought out my business card and handed it to her

"If you know anything else, please contact me," I said and exited the house, I walked back to the car and then booked a flight to Miami, the next flight to Miami was this night, I drove straight to the pack house, I needed to tell Adam, but even if I don't tell Adam anything, no one would notice I'm gone because Is always busy with work but I decided to tell him just in case, I couldn't risk adding any other problem to my problem

The car finally came to a halt in front of the mansion and I got out of the car, I made my way into the mansion and claimed up the stairs to my room, I knew that Adam would be busy now so I decided to go and see him later this evening, I know that he would be busy and I know that he would be glad to see me although he's busy with work and he doesn't want to let the pack down

I closed the door of my room and lay on my bed, a few minutes later, I heard a knock on my door and I stood up reluctantly from the bed and made my way to the door, I was guessing that it would be one of the servants. "What the hell do they want this time" I said as I opened the door and then my mouth flew open

"Adam," I said with a shocked expression

"Imogen, may I come in?" He said

"Yeah, yeah, sure you can come in," I said, I didn't know what to say, Adam was the last person I expected to see knocking in front of my door, I felt so touched because even when he is so busy with work, he still found time to see

"How are you feeling Imogen" He asked

"I'm fine thanks, How are you feeling Adam" I asked out of total concern, I understand just how he felt and I know that when I become the Luna, the stress will be reduced and then we can be together forever

He sat on my bed and I sat next to him on my bed, "My beta told me that you went out today" Adam said and I nodded

"Yes, I went to take the kids from Maxwell," I said

"And I am guessing that it wasn't successful" He replied

"Yeah, it wasn't successful, I'm so sorry Maxwell, I messed it up the first time, I messed everything up," I said feeling so guilty, If only I had taken the kids from him that day, I wouldn't have been in this situation

"It's fine Imogen, it's alright, I don't expect you to trust me all of a sudden, you still doubted me," Adam said and sighed, he was right, at that moment, I doubted him, it wasn't easy, I was in a difficult spot.

"Adam, I know that you have a lot of things to handle, I know that you have a lot of work to do but I want you to promise me that, you will be there when I need your help," I said, I know that I can't do this all by myself, it would be nearly impossible

"I would always be there for you, anytime at all and they are also my kids and I would join you to take them from Maxwell, How about we go to Maxwell's house tomorrow," Adam said

"There's a little problem," I said

"Maxwell took the kids with him to Miami, I went there early today," I said
