Chapter 92 ALPHA’S GRAND PUP

Chapter 92 ALPHA’S GRAND PUP
Edeline

But now? I simply don’t care anymore. Discussing the consequences of injuring a pregnant she-wolf’s arm feels pointless. I feel nothing, just a hollow disbelief.

“Edeline! Do you even hear yourself? This is insane. You know Alpha won’t tolerate this. Have you even thought about a plan?” Mirabelle sat beside me, her expression shifting from disbelief to anger, and then to a deep sadness as I stared blankly at her.

I forced a smile. “I know I’ll get a serious lecture…” Our eyes locked. “But she’s not exactly part of the pack, so there aren’t any strict guidelines unless she’s considered a guest. And she’s not really a typical guest either,” I added, my voice flat, emotionless. Her green eyes searched mine, as if trying to make sense of my detachment.

“She’s carrying the Alpha’s grand pup…”

I let out a sigh, shrugging my shoulders. "We'll see. I'm distancing myself from the whole situation. She deliberately came in to provoke me, hoping to stir up trouble, Mirabelle. She wants me out of the picture. It was a setup—she figured she’d win either way. She assumed the underwear was recent, that my wolf would react, someone would rush to her rescue, and I’d be punished until my wolf calmed down. But her plan backfired, and honestly, I can’t help but feel a bit satisfied about that." I smirked, a trace of amusement slipping through.

There was a shift within me... When Percival told me he didn’t want me around anymore, it was like a weight lifted off my shoulders. I stopped worrying about what the future might hold. I just didn’t care. Sure, there was a sting when the person I thought was perfect for me didn’t want to be with me, but I wasn’t about to wallow and become “that girl.” It was oddly refreshing. The sadness was overwhelming at first, but then, suddenly, I could breathe again.

Mirabelle rolled her eyes. “Wow, it seems like you’ve really got everything under control. What’s going on with you, Edeline?” She gently grabbed my arm, concern softening her gaze.

I placed my hand on hers, offering a small, comforting smile. “Hey, Mirabelle, I’m okay. I’ve just lost faith in the whole mate bond thing. He mentioned in his letter that he plans to mark Tatiana. Go ahead, read it for yourself.” I handed her the letter, the paper crinkling slightly as I unfolded it. “I’m just ready to move on with my life.”

She scanned the page, her hands trembling, her eyes filled with worry. With a tense shake of her head, she looked up at me, her voice strained. “This doesn’t seem right, Edeline. This doesn’t sound like the Percival we know. We know him.”

“We thought we knew him. People change,” I replied, the smile on my face fading as I remembered there was something else—something important—I needed to ask her. “But enough about that. What did you find out about my mom, Mirabelle?”

She looked startled by the sudden shift in topic, her mouth opening as if to speak, then closing again.

“Sure.” She lowered her head, a faint chuckle escaping her lips. “Hmm,” she sighed, lifting her gaze to meet mine. “The vision wasn’t crystal clear, but I’ll tell you what I saw. How you interpret it is up to you.” She closed her eyes, tilting her head back slightly as she took a deep breath, as if drawing in strength before speaking.

"I witnessed a scene that left me uneasy," Mirabelle began, her voice soft but steady. "Your mother, who was pregnant, stood beside Alpha William, while Luna Annabel was close by. Alpha William looked at Luna Annabel with a tender smile, but there was a sadness in Luna’s eyes as she glanced at your mother. Meanwhile, your father, seemingly unaware, smiled lovingly at your mother and her growing belly."

Mirabelle paused, her eyes searching mine as she continued. "Your father was wearing a collar that symbolized ignorance and betrayal, while your mother had a belt adorned with symbols of secrecy, deception, and betrayal. Luna, on the other hand, wore a heavy coat marked with signs of betrayal and secrecy. Alpha William’s collar also had symbols—secrecy, lies, betrayal, and offspring. As the darkness lifted from her eyes, Luna locked her gaze with mine."

She sighed, her brow furrowing with concern. "I’m not entirely sure what it all means, but it seems like there’s a secret involving your mom and Alpha William. Your dad might not be aware of it, but Luna Annabel seems to be involved. Both Alpha and your mom wore symbols of betrayal, while your dad and Luna wore symbols of being betrayed. The heavy coat on Luna suggests she’s carrying the weight of a secret. And your mom’s pregnancy... it could have been either when she was expecting you or Nixx. The pup symbol on Alpha, along with how close he was to your mom, hints at something. You can piece it together and tell me what you think." She looked at me with concern, biting her lip.

Suddenly, everything started to make sense.

My mom has been so anxious lately, shedding tears, struggling to sleep, apologizing repeatedly, and assuring me she’d find a way to fix everything... It was like she was carrying the burden of a secret she couldn’t share.

She even talked about trying to find a solution, hoping there was a way to make things right without Percival being a firstborn…

I felt my eyes widen slightly. "Oh wow..."

Mirabelle grasped my hand firmly, her grip strong and steady. I looked into her eyes, trying to make sense of what she was telling me. "Are you sure?"

She nodded, her expression serious.

There’s a real possibility that Nixx isn’t my father’s biological child.

Her words echoed in my mind, filling every corner of my thoughts.

I sat there quietly, letting it all sink in. So many possibilities… Could it really be true? Was there something our mother and father knew, something about my brother or me that they kept hidden? Maybe that’s what the symbols were trying to tell us. Did Luna know something that Dad didn’t? Could one of us be… I wasn’t sure.
