Chapter 131: Who is This Woman

"Go tell Grace to let me go right now, or I will immediately release that information."

"You're not going anywhere. Even if that madam speaks up, I won't let you leave. Face the reality, you're already in our hands now, daughter."

Jane deliberately emphasized the word "daughter."

"What do you mean? Aren't you all in this together?"

Upon hearing this, Vivian realized something was amiss. This woman's words were clearly directed at her, not someone from Grace's side.

"I've said it before, you are our daughter. We just want to find our daughter. That madam merely kindly informed us how to locate you."

"Daughter? You claim I'm your daughter, do you have any proof?"

"Proof can be provided right away if you wish." With that, Jane clapped her hands twice, and a person dressed as a doctor suddenly appeared in everyone's line of sight.

"If you don't believe us, a DNA test can be conducted on the spot."

Vivian's heart skipped a beat. Why would there be a doctor in this villa, capable of conducting medical tests? What kind of place was this?

"No need. Even if you are my biological parents, what do you want by bringing me here? Just tell me straight, no beating around the bush."

Since they had used such despicable means to bring her to this villa without her consent, these people must have some unspeakable secrets, wanting her to compromise something to achieve their goals.

Sure enough, after she spoke those words, Jane dropped the previous pretense of concern and got straight to the point.

"Our son Max, your own brother, is very ill. We've gone through so much to find you, all to ask you to save your brother." When Jane said this, the compassion on her face for her son was genuine.

"Save him? How am I supposed to save him? I'm not a doctor." Vivian looked at her, bewildered.

"You're twins, you know? Your bone marrow could save your brother. Mom begs of you, save your brother, or he will die." With that, Jane suddenly knelt down with a thud, right in front of Vivian.

Upon hearing this, Vivian's body jolted violently, her pupils constricted, and she was deeply shocked.

Donate bone marrow? To her, this was nothing short of a fairy tale.

Naturally, Vivian could not agree to such an absurd demand, and she was also shocked by the cold-blooded ignorance of these parents, who would go so far as to have their daughter save their son, without any regard for the daughter's well-being.

Could there be such parents in this world?

Her hand stealthily reached into her pocket, intending to secretly call the police, only to find that her phone, which was originally in her pocket, was gone.

"Looking for this?" Jack held up a phone, waving it in front of her, "This can't be given back to you yet, but as long as you agree to save your brother, your parents will meet any of your demands."

Absurd, absolutely absurd.

The expression on Vivian's face gradually turned to one of despair. She realized that this couple had kidnapped her and taken her phone to force her into submission. If she refused, they would surely act against her will.

What should she do now?

Vivian took a deep breath, and involuntarily, the faces of Mr. and Mrs. Dawson appeared in her mind, and her nose suddenly turned sour.

But she had conveniently forgotten that it was she who had hurt Mrs. Dawson, and even just a few hours ago, she had intended to harm her further.

How could Vivian have committed such an unforgivable act! In an instant, Vivian's heart was pierced with pain, so filled with regret that she could hardly breathe.

And the two in front of her, who were worse than beasts, were not fit to be parents at all, existing as demonic beings.

"Let me go, do you know this is a crime?"

Without batting an eye, Jane said something that sent a chill down her spine, "Who in this world is without fault? I don't believe you're spotless either. Let me tell you the truth, you're not leaving here today whether you like it or not, you must save Max!"

Vivian looked up, the despair and fear in her eyes reaching their peak. Staring at the woman in front of her with a stubborn and forceful expression, she suddenly remembered something.

Yes, she had seen her before.

She recalled that Ava had once gone to the hospital with a woman for a DNA test, and the results, which were originally negative, were tampered with by someone who had followed them, turning a non-match into a confirmed parent-child relationship.

Now, she vaguely remembered that the couple who had gone with Ava for the paternity test were these two!

Could it be that what she was going through now was something Ava had already experienced? Was she now replicating Ava's misfortune... and was she the one who had brought this misfortune upon herself, the original culprit?

Now, all the misfortunes had come back to haunt her, how ironic.

Vivian lowered her head in dejection, her eyes suddenly welled up, blurring her vision.

.....

Vivian had gone missing.

The police, based on the information provided by Ava, had launched a manhunt the night she fled. According to surveillance, Vivian's car left the Dawson residence at midnight, heading north. The roadside cameras captured her car as it drove aimlessly around the streets before finally heading towards the beach.

After that, her car was not seen again.

However, when the police arrived at Summerton Beach following the clues from the surveillance, they found no trace of her, but her car was parked quietly by the beach.

The police, looking at the vast sea before them, couldn't help but wonder if she had committed suicide by jumping into the ocean.

With this thought in mind, the police searched the coastline for several days without success. It was then that they noticed a small detail in the surveillance footage.

On the night in question, ten minutes before Vivian's car entered the beach access road, a silver-gray car had also entered. This car had an eerie trajectory, deliberately avoiding the highway cameras and driving with extreme caution and mystery. About fifteen minutes after Vivian drove in, the silver-gray car came out again, this time driving at a high speed, in stark contrast to its previous careful demeanor.

Soon, it disappeared into the boundless darkness.

The surveillance footage of this car was minimal, as it deliberately avoided major roads and took remote, less-traveled paths towards the suburbs.

Since the police had been dragging the sea for several days without finding anything, they shifted their focus to this suspicious silver-gray car.

Due to the dim lighting of the road at the time of the incident and the high speed of the silver-gray car, it was difficult for the police to identify the exact license plate number. Even if they could see it, it might have been a fake plate.

For a while, the operation to capture Vivian was at an impasse...

......

In the CEO's office.

"Ryan, take a look at this."

Mosen entered, holding a manila envelope. Ryan looked up as Mosen opened the envelope, revealing a stack of photographs.

Ever since Grace had expressed her disapproval of his divorce with Vivian, Ryan had become suspicious. How could his mother's attitude change so quickly? There must be some issue behind it.

He knew Grace's temperament; she wouldn't easily change her mind. Therefore, it was impossible for Vivian to persuade her with just words, unless...

She had some leverage and was compromising because of it.

Thus, from that time on, Ryan began to closely monitor Grace's every move, secretly arranging for someone to keep an eye on her daily activities.

This time, the photos Mosen brought showed a meeting between Grace and an unfamiliar woman.

In the photos, the two came out of the hospital together, then entered a restaurant, and subsequently sat face to face, talking about something.

"Who is this woman? Have you checked?" Ryan frowned, staring at the unfamiliar woman in the photos.

"The investigation is still ongoing, but we believe we will have results soon," Mosen replied cautiously.
