Chapter 257 Tamsin's Hatred

Chapter 257 Tamsin's Hatred

Upon hearing this, Tamsin's face went from red to blue. She grabbed the vase on the table and hurled it at Henry. "Shut up! I'm not scared of you anymore. You better watch what you say!"

Henry sneered and sidestepped, letting the vase crash against the wall with a loud noise, scattering shards everywhere. He brushed off the water droplets on his sleeve, his tone icy. "Looks like you can't keep your cool. No wonder Julian doesn't think much of you."

"You," Tamsin gritted her teeth, trembling with anger. "If it weren't for your people messing up, how could Cecilia have found a loophole?"

"Speaking of which, Cecilia must have pulled some last-minute trick. There's no way she's the CEO of YORA Group! Just look at her, it's impossible! She's shameless!" She clenched her fists tightly, her eyes blazing with fury.

"The video is real, but the woman in it isn't Cecilia. Besides, public opinion battles are never won with the truth. Do you think a video can bring her down? She's a smart woman, and you—"

He looked her up and down, his tone contemptuous. "What else can you do besides rage incompetently?"

Tamsin's forehead throbbed with anger, and she grabbed a cup to throw, but Silas suddenly burst through the door and shouted, "Enough! What's all this noise? Aren't you embarrassed enough?"

Silas stormed in, his face dark with anger. Tamsin had narrowly escaped trouble before, but now she had created new problems for him. If it weren't inconvenient to act now, he would have gotten rid of her long ago.

He took a deep breath, glared at Tamsin, and said coldly, "The video has caused a huge stir. All the major media outlets are digging into your background. You'd better lay low for a while. I have one more question for you. Did you have anything to do with your mother's death?"

At the mention of Luna, Tamsin's face turned pale. She quickly glanced at Henry and stammered, "Dad, what are you talking about? How could I..."

"Who are you calling father? I don't have a daughter as vicious as you!" Silas interrupted her, slamming his hand on the table. "From now on, you're staying in the basement. You're not allowed to go anywhere or use the internet! I'll tell everyone you're missing. If there's another incident like last time, don't blame me for being ruthless!"

Tamsin stared in disbelief. "I didn't do anything wrong! How can you treat me like this?"

"I've been more than lenient with you. What more do you want? Compared to prison, house arrest is much more comfortable." Silas snorted and turned to Henry. "You, too, stop scheming. My patience is limited. No matter what you're busy with, you need to focus on the company. Stop running around."

His gaze deepened.

"Yes, Father," Henry replied, lowering his head.

"Tamsin is your responsibility. If she gets out again, don't blame me for punishing you both."

As soon as he finished speaking, Silas called in several bodyguards. They moved to grab Tamsin, but she suddenly found the strength to shake them off.

"You can't lock me up! I'm warning you, you'll regret this!" she shouted hoarsely, her voice filled with rage. "In three months, the Wells Entertainment Company will face off against a group in Seraphim's 'New Star Project.' The eighteen billion dollars you invested will be lost!"

Silas's face went pale. "How do you know this?"

The New Star Project was top secret, known only to a select few within The Wells Entertainment Company. Tamsin shouldn't have had any knowledge of it. He glanced at Henry, who looked equally shocked.

Tamsin smirked. "You all are so naive. The rival company has exclusive authorization from the local government. The contracts you signed are traps! They have policy documents ready to turn on you once the funds are in place. The Wells Entertainment Company will not only lose everything but also owe eight billion dollars in penalties for breach of contract!"

"If you don't want to lose that much money and want the project to proceed smoothly, let me out and listen to me! If you still don't believe me, I can give you all the details right now!" Tamsin's voice was fierce, her eyes burning with hatred. "Give me one day, and I'll give you a satisfactory plan!"

"Cecilia ruined me. I want to see her fall!"

Tamsin's breath quickened with excitement, her eyes wide with intensity.

Silas's expression changed. Before he could respond, Henry spoke first. "Father, since Tamsin is so confident, why not give her a chance?"

"By tomorrow morning, have your plan ready and give it to me, including how you found out about this," Silas said after a moment of silence, his sharp gaze on Tamsin.

"Fine," Tamsin agreed, a determined smile on her face.

Fate had been fair to her. In the hospital, she had traded blood and the risk of death for memories of her past life. Though she didn't fully understand it, she was no longer afraid. In the business world, she had studied diligently in her previous life, and nothing could stump her.

Henry watched her expression, his eyes darkening.

The next evening, Cecilia dressed casually, armed herself, and put on a mask and wig. After confirming her tracker was working, she headed to the underground bar listed on the invitation.

As she pushed open the door, neon lights blurred into a crimson haze in the smoky air, and the pounding electronic rock music shook her chest. On the central stage, a sultry woman was performing a pole dance.

Cecilia frowned slightly and walked to the bar, sitting down.

"A Mojito, with ice."

The bartender raised an eyebrow, eyeing her striking red hair. "No strong drinks here?"

Cecilia shook her head without speaking.

A few minutes later, the bartender slid over a glass with lime and mint leaves, the ice cubes reflecting distorted light.

She had just taken a sip when the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. Someone was watching her.

The gaze felt like a bat, dark and sinister, crawling up her exposed shoulder.

Cecilia casually turned her glass, scanning the corner with her peripheral vision.

On the velvet sofa, a man lounged lazily. He wore a half-black mask, his sharp jawline visible, lips holding a cigarette, the ember flickering in the dim light.

It was Christopher.

He seemed to have expected her to look over, and he beckoned her with a slow curl of his finger.

Like summoning a dog.

Cecilia sneered, picked up her glass, and walked through the crowd, her high heels crunching over cigarette butts and ice shards, heading straight for him.
