Chapter 161 Persuasion
That evening, Bianca got out of class early. She had just come down from upstairs when suddenly someone jumped out from the shadows ahead. He stood in front of Bianca, his face looking extremely unpleasant.
If Bianca wasn't certain she didn't know this person, she would almost suspect she had done something to him.
"Who are you?" Bianca asked, crossing her arms.
The man stared at Bianca.
"Who I am doesn't matter. What matters is I think you've gone too far!"
"Blair is your sister after all. Why do you have to be so aggressive and not even let her continue her studies?"
Bianca found this man's words rather ridiculous.
Suddenly, it clicked in her head - she remembered who this man was.
Wasn't this the senior who used to follow Blair around? Though it was just his one-sided pursuit, and Blair didn't even like him.
Now that Blair wasn't here, this senior had jumped out on his own.
Bianca sneered, looking the senior up and down, then said mockingly, "Let me ask you - what gives you the right to speak up for her? She did so many wrong things, and you're accusing me of being too heartless. If I killed you, you wouldn't blame me, right? After all, you're such a saint with no principles!"
"That's different!" The senior almost jumped up in anger at Bianca's words.
"How is it different?" Bianca slowly raised her head and asked with a smile.
The senior pressed his lips together, "I..."
He hesitated, but Bianca had already walked past him. She didn't want to waste time with this stupid person - it would make her look as dumb as him.
"Get lost!"
Seeing the senior about to follow her, Bianca suddenly turned around. That one word scared the senior into standing still, not daring to move.
Seeing that Bianca didn't take him seriously at all, the senior's expression instantly changed. He glared at Bianca viciously, as if she had done something terrible, but Bianca had already left.
He gritted his teeth, thinking of Blair's smiling face. He didn't want to make Blair unhappy!
So after following Bianca out of the school gate, the senior made a phone call.
"Mrs. Ember, I'd like to talk with you. I think I can help Blair."
Soon after, the two met.
Standing in front of Thea, this senior didn't have his earlier righteousness. Instead, he rubbed his hands together, looking a bit nervous.
Thea was already unhappy because of Blair's situation. She sat lazily in her chair and asked, "Well, tell me what you can do."
The senior immediately sat across from her and slowly began to speak.
After Bianca returned to the apartment, she found that Terrence hadn't come back yet. She took a shower and lay down on the soft bed.
Probably because she was quite tired from the day, she fell asleep without realizing it.
When Terrence came back, he saw Bianca lying motionless on the bed, hugging the blanket with her arms and legs.
He took another shower, then lay down and became her human blanket.
This led to Bianca feeling like there was a big furnace in her arms in the middle of the night. She slowly opened her eyes, saw it was Terrence, and felt relieved.
But then Terrence pulled her into his arms.
"Be good, don't move. Let's sleep."
Terrence stopped Bianca's attempt to move and said with a smile.
Bianca nodded. Their bodies fit perfectly together, and they slept until the next morning.
Bianca saw she had class, but before she could go, she was called in by the vice principal, Jerry Nelson.
When Jerry saw Bianca come in, his face was full of smiles. He even poured Bianca a cup of coffee.
His actions seemed respectful, but his words made Bianca raise her eyebrows.
Because Jerry didn't beat around the bush - he directly stated why he had called Bianca over.
"Bianca, I've learned about what happened before. Our school definitely needs to give you an answer. We were planning to expel Blair, but recently, many students have said this punishment is too severe!"
The corners of Bianca's mouth slowly curved up. It seemed this Jerry had bad intentions and wanted to help Blair!
"Severe?" Bianca murmured.
Jerry naturally didn't want to offend Bianca, but thinking of the hefty bribe Thea had given him, he steeled himself. "How is it not severe? It's called campus bullying, but it probably didn't reach that level. With just one word from you, Mr. Anderson helped you get Blair expelled. But that's cutting off Blair's education!"
Bianca didn't speak, just watched Jerry perform.
But Jerry thought Bianca was taking his words to heart, so he continued.
"You should show mercy when you can. Besides, you're sisters. Why won't you give Blair a chance to reform? This way, your image among your classmates will improve too."
Bianca suddenly leaned back in her chair, crossed her arms, and fixed Jerry with a knowing smile.
Jerry felt a bit uncomfortable under Bianca's stare.
But Bianca made a phone call. Jasmine soon came in from outside, holding the materials Bianca had asked her to bring.
"Jasmine, you can go out first." Jasmine was timid, and Bianca didn't want her involved in this.
Jasmine hesitantly glanced at Jerry. She was worried Jerry might do something to Bianca.
"I'm fine, go out first," Bianca said again.
Hearing this, Jasmine nodded.
The office door closed again. Bianca placed the materials in front of Jerry, indicating he should open and look at them.
"What's this?" Jerry hesitantly picked up the materials. Just as he opened them, he heard Bianca say.
"This is, of course, the complete evidence chain of Blair's long-term academic fraud and campus bullying. And I'm not the only one she bullied - there are quite a few others."
"Mr. Nelson, why don't you look carefully and see if the expulsion punishment is too light? Or we could just call the police directly."
Jerry frowned and looked through the materials.
"Mr. Nelson, what do you think?" Bianca slowly lowered her head and asked, but the sharpness in her eyes made Jerry feel uneasy.
Thinking of the reason he had called Bianca to the office, Jerry pretended to be calm and put the materials on the desk. Then he continued speaking to Bianca, "I've looked at the materials. Blair did do some wrong things, but it's not to the point where we need to ruin the rest of her life. Bianca, I still hope you can let this go. That would be better for everyone."
Everyone?
Bianca sneered.
This "everyone" probably only meant Blair alone.
This Jerry was really going all out. Or maybe he got too many benefits. Even knowing her identity, he still kept trying to persuade her again and again!
