Chapter 97 Arrange a Few Concert Tickets?
"Exactly, Harold, do you have some kind of personal grudge against Isabella?"
"Even if you lost the money and don't want to take responsibility, you shouldn't just accuse Isabella like that."
"Besides, everyone knows Isabella is the real daughter of the Taylor Family. If there's anything else the Taylor Family can't give her, would they really be short on money for her? How could she possibly care about that one thousand dollars in class fees?"
A girl who knew luxury brands said, "The outfit Isabella is wearing probably costs who knows how many thousands of dollars. How could she possibly steal money?"
"Exactly, Harold, don't wrongly accuse an innocent person."
Everyone rushed to comfort Isabella, "Isabella, don't worry, we believe you. The money definitely wasn't stolen by you."
Harold watched as everyone spoke up for Isabella one after another, and immediately got anxious, staring hard at Isabella.
"You're the one who took the money. The money is with you. Give it back to me right now!"
As he spoke, he tried to grab Isabella.
"Harold! Calm down!"
Several boys worked together to hold him back.
The boys couldn't stand it anymore. "Harold, what are you trying to do? You've searched everywhere you needed to. The money clearly wasn't taken by her, so why are you accusing her? Bullying a girl in front of so many people - is that appropriate?"
Harold was held back, extremely angry, his eyes turning red.
These people just didn't understand!
Isabella was the one who took the money. The money was with her!
But no one believed what he said.
"You're all idiots! You've all been fooled by her!"
Harold shook off those boys and stormed out of the classroom in anger. "I'm going to tell the teacher! Isabella took the money and won't hand it over!"
——
"What? You're saying Isabella stole the class fees?"
In the office, Hannah found it hard to believe after hearing Harold's words.
Harold kept nodding. "Yes, the class fees are with her, but she refuses to give them back to me now."
In the office, Jeremy was also there.
Hearing this, he immediately looked over.
Hannah frowned, thinking Harold's timing really couldn't be worse.
"Harold." Hannah closed the lesson plan in her hand, her voice very serious. "Why are you so certain that Isabella took the class fees?"
Harold was stumped by this question.
He bit his lip and said, "Yesterday when I went back to the classroom, I saw Isabella acting very strange."
Hannah was taken aback.
She thought Harold could present some evidence, but instead...
"That's it?"
Harold pinched his palm, unwilling to give up. "Teacher, I can be certain the money is definitely with Isabella. She moved the money from the classroom to the dorm. If you have someone search her dorm, you'll definitely find it."
Hannah frowned. "You're making baseless assumptions?"
"I'm not, I didn't, I'm telling the truth."
He was the one who put the money in Isabella's drawer. He knew perfectly well the money was with Isabella.
"Enough!" Hannah couldn't listen anymore. "Harold, you're relying on your own imagination to conclude that Isabella stole the class fees. Do you think that's reasonable?"
This was simply making trouble out of nothing.
Harold stuck his neck out stubbornly, very unwilling to accept it. "Whether Isabella took it or not, you'll know if you just search her dorm."
"Let me tell you, I have no authority to search her dorm!" Hannah said angrily. "No one has the right to do that!"
"Harold, you've been class monitor since sophomore year. I've always thought you were a responsible good kid, but you really shouldn't accuse Isabella of stealing without any evidence."
"You even said in front of the whole class that she took the class fees. Have you thought about the consequences? How will everyone look at her afterward? Will she be ostracized because of this? Have you considered any of this?"
Harold's face turned ugly under Hannah's barrage of questioning and scolding.
He pressed his lips together, his voice hoarse. "But what about the missing class fees?"
"Harold, I'll make up the class fees." Hannah said in a softer tone. "As for who took them, since there's no evidence, this matter ends here. The SAT is coming up soon. I don't want this to affect any student in the class."
"Also, you won't be managing the class fees anymore. I'll keep them here."
"Class is about to start. Go back now."
Harold clenched his fists and left angrily.
Outside the office, his eyes were red.
From anger.
Both angry and frustrated.
Why should Isabella get away with taking that one thousand dollars?
She really got off easy.
The money was clearly with Isabella, but he couldn't say anything and had no evidence.
This was really terrible.
The more Harold thought about it, the worse he felt.
What should he do to make Isabella hand over that one thousand dollars that didn't belong to her?
——
During break.
Isabella took out her phone and saw many messages from Joseph.
Seeing Joseph's name, Isabella frowned, not wanting to read the messages.
So annoying.
Joseph asked her to play chess every day but couldn't win. Isabella didn't understand why William had to find her such an annoying person.
It even disturbed her at school.
Isabella frowned as she scrolled from top to bottom.
[Isabella, want to play another game tonight? I'm telling you, I've been studying. This time I can definitely beat you.]
[Why aren't you replying to my messages?]
[This time I can really beat you!]
[Please, give me a chance to compete with you again.]
[Are you scared?]
Isabella: "..."
She blandly replied "okay" and stuffed her phone back into her desk drawer.
Violet also took out her phone and glanced at it. "That person pretending to be Lawrence keeps sending me messages."
"He's still insisting he's Lawrence! He even said if I don't believe him, we can meet in person."
"So is he or isn't he?" Isabella asked.
"Of course not!" Violet was very certain. "If Lawrence could add me as a friend, chat with me, and suggest meeting me, I'd be laughing in my dreams. The person on the other end is obviously a scammer!"
"Plus I asked him yesterday - if he's Lawrence, can he get me some concert tickets? He still hasn't said anything."
Violet clicked on the person's profile picture and deleted them directly.
Just then, a boy walked in and tossed a package onto Violet's desk. "Your delivery. I brought it up for you."
Violet said "thanks."
Her eyes fell on the package, and then she remembered.
"I haven't bought anything recently?"
She looked at it, and the recipient was indeed her name.
"Just open it and see. Maybe you forgot." Isabella said.
Violet curiously opened the package.
The next second...
What appeared before her eyes were Lawrence concert tickets!
Violet let out a scream.
Isabella quickly covered her ears.
"It's tickets!"
Violet excitedly grabbed Isabella's hand, looking at her with bright eyes. "It's Lawrence concert tickets!"
Isabella, worried that Violet was being scammed, scanned the code to verify.
The result really surprised her. "The tickets are real."
And they were Section A tickets that had long been sold out through online channels.
"Could it be that the other person really is Lawrence?"
