Chapter 455: The Ending
Lawrence's face turned red as he rubbed the back of his head, looking embarrassed. "I did have feelings for her before, but when I heard she had a boyfriend, I decided to just be friends with her."
"What?" Soren caught the key point, his brow furrowing. "Isabella has a boyfriend? Who is he?"
Although the results weren't out yet, Soren had already started thinking of himself as Isabella's big brother.
His sister wasn't someone just any man could go after! It had to be someone worthy of Ainsley! At least someone as outstanding as him!
Lawrence shook his head. "I don't know who her boyfriend is."
Theodore suddenly spoke up, "I know who Isabella's boyfriend is."
Instantly, everyone's eyes turned to Theodore. "Who?"
Theodore's expression was serious. "It's William. William asked me to help treat Isabella's grandmother before. William said it himself—Isabella is his girlfriend."
Theodore had barely finished speaking, when Soren exploded. "Why didn't you tell me something this important earlier?"
Theodore touched his glasses. "I didn't know she might be our sister at the time."
"Soren, if Isabella really is our sister, then her boyfriend being William is better than it being anyone else, don't you think?" Sebastian said rationally.
Soren laughed bitterly.
The others looked at him in confusion. "Soren, what's wrong?"
Soren took a deep breath. "William came to see me today. He said he's getting engaged."
"What!"
Everyone looked shocked.
"William's fiancée—could it be Isabella?"
Soren shrugged. "What do you think?"
Just as they all fell into stunned silence, the lab technician came out.
"The results are in."
They immediately gathered around.
"Well? Is she really our sister?"
The lab technician smiled. "Congratulations to the Parker family on finding Ms. Parker."
The words landed, and no one moved. It didn't feel real.
Soren took the paternity test report, opened it, and looked directly at the final result. When he saw it clearly, his heart trembled.
"Isabella is Ainsley."
This time, it was real.
The joy was so enormous that none of them could process it—none of them could find their way back to the present for a long moment.
Then Soren caught sight of a familiar figure approaching from the corner of his eye.
His expression changed as he turned to look. "William? What are you doing here?"
He crossed the room and grabbed William by the collar, his voice tight with anger. "You actually set your sights on my sister! When did you two get together? This engagement you mentioned—is it with my sister?"
William removed Soren's hand from his collar and raised an eyebrow. "Doesn't Mr. Parker want to see your sister?"
"Of course I do!"
Not just Soren —all of them wanted to see Isabella immediately.
William glanced at his watch, then said, "Isabella should arrive at the airport in about half an hour. I was planning to pick her up. You guys..."
"I'll go with you!"
"Me too!"
"And me!"
——
After getting off the plane, Isabella received a text message William had sent a few minutes earlier.
The message said that the entire Parker family had all come to pick her up.
Isabella looked at the message, her gaze pausing slightly.
She wasn't unfamiliar with the Parker family members, but she still couldn't quite adjust to the fact that they were her real brothers.
She still remembered when she was first told that the Taylor family members were her family and that she had several brothers—she was so excited she couldn't sleep for several nights.
Back then, family was very important to her.
But now...
It wasn't that they weren't important.
It was just that no matter how important people were, they couldn't make her lose herself.
Isabella quickly composed herself and walked toward the airport exit.
From a distance, she could see their figures.
Soren, Theodore, Sebastian, Lawrence, and William.
She walked toward them.
"Ainsley," Soren spoke.
Isabella glanced at him. "Soren, It's been a while. "
Soren smiled. "We all know now."
She wasn't surprised. She'd known about about Gwyneth sending a letter back to Lumaria. She had even read the letter's contents.
She looked at them and said, "Mother heard that you've been looking for us. She didn't want you to worry, so she wrote that letter."
"How is Mother?" Theodore asked.
"She's fine, Just very busy."
"Ainsley, this is Dad." Soren pointed to the middle-aged man beside him.
Wesley looked at Isabella nervously, as if he didn't know where to begin.
But Isabella smiled at him naturally and greeted him, "Dad."
She said it quite calmly. After all, Gwyneth had said that Wesley was a good father, but Gwyneth had taken it upon herself to leave the Parker family with her, depriving Wesley of the chance to care for her.
Wesley patted Isabella's shoulder with tears in his eyes, his voice trembling slightly. "It's good that you're back."
He thought for a moment but couldn't help asking, "Your mother..."
Isabella knew that Wesley had always deeply loved Gwyneth and that Gwyneth's leaving home had hit Wesley hard. She looked at Wesley, this tall, middle-aged man who had become haggard from being trapped in longing for so long.
"Dad, Mom has things she must handle. She needs to stay in Novaria for now."
She handed Wesley a business card. "This has Mom's private number on it. She asked me to give it to you."
Wesley took the card, his hand trembling as he held it—both from excitement and happiness.
Soren stepped in at just the right moment. "Now you're back, let's go home together."
The others all smiled at her. "Ainsley, welcome home!"
William stepped forward and took Isabella's hand. "Come on, I'll come to Parker Villa with you today."
Soren immediately turned to him. "William, today is the day we're reunited with Ainsley. Why are you tagging along?"
Theodore also said, "Mr. Brown, there's no need to insert yourself. It's not like you don't have a home to go back to."
Sebastian also raised an eyebrow and looked at William with disdain. "We have a lot to talk about with Ainsley today. You'd just be in the way."
Wesley laughed. "Alright, stop teasing William."
"William, you should join us for dinner this evening."
William beamed with joy. He held Isabella's hand tightly as they all walked happily toward the airport exit together.
The End.
