Chapter 454 Isabella is Ainsley
Before Isabella and Gwyneth left Elyndra, Robbie came to see them off.
Isabella had previously noticed that Robbie’s eyes and brows resembled Raven’s.
Seeing his sorrowful face, she asked, "Robbie, is Ronan your brother?"
Robbie's eyes widened slightly.
“I was right,” Isabella said coolly. “Then you must know why Ronan died so miserably and was hanged in the square."
Robbie met Isabella’s deep gaze and was momentarily speechless.
"Although Ronan was your own brother, he brought it on himself,” Isabella said calmly. “If you don't want the Ancient Martial Arts Alliance to end up like the Whispering Sect, don't cause any trouble or think about avenging your brother."
"Do you understand what I'm saying?"
Isabella stared at him, a faint warning in her eyes.
Though Isabella looked very young, the presence she gave off was enough to make someone like Robbie wary.
Robbie didn't say much in the end; he just sighed. "Ronan chose the wrong path himself. I can't blame you. However, regarding the ancient martial arts competition, many people from the seven great families were seriously injured. I apologize to them on behalf of the seven families."
Isabella nodded but said nothing more.
"Robbie, we're leaving now. Hope to see you again someday,” Gwyneth said.
"Hope to see you again."
After saying goodbye, Gwyneth and Isabella got into the car and left Elyndra.
——
Lumaria.
The Parker Group.
Soren flipped through a newspaper.
"Mr. Parker, your coffee."
When his assistant brought the coffee over, he glanced at the newspaper again. The headline reported that the Taylor Group had been renamed the Powell Group.
The Taylor Group had changed hands a few months ago, with Isabella becoming the new chairman. Then she revealed she wasn't Hayden's biological daughter. This series of events had attracted quite a bit of attention in business circles.
"Mr. Parker, the Taylor Group has been renamed the Powell Group. Does that mean Ms. Taylor's real last name is Powell? Isn't that the same as Mrs. Parker's last name?"
Everyone knew that Soren’s missing mother's last name was Powell, and her first name was Serenity.
It was quite a coincidence.
Soren stared at the newspaper, his gaze deepening.
Isabella.
Isabella?
After staring at the pagefor a moment, he sighed and looked away.
Forget it. What did this have to do with him? He had met a girl named Isabella. If Ainsley were still alive, she would be about her age now.
Soren didn't want to think about this anymore. He picked up his coffee, took a sip, and grabbed a document to review.
Just then, the office door was pushed open.
William walked in.
Soren glanced at William and raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Mr. Brown?"
"What brings you here?"
William's eyes held a smile. "I'm here to tell you two things."
"What things?"
"First, I'm getting engaged."
Soren froze. "What?"
He stood up abruptly, disbelief written all over his face.
"What did you say? You're getting engaged?"
"When did this happen?"
"Who's your girlfriend? How come there's been no news about such a big thing as your engagement? How come I had no idea?"
William didn't answer this string of questions, but continued, "The second thing is, there's a letter here that I think you all need to read carefully."
William handed over a letter.
It was sent by Gwyneth from Novaria.
Gwyneth said they would recognize the handwriting on this letter. Inside was also a gemstone ring, a unique gemstone ring she had taken from the Parker family when she left, which the Parker family would also recognize.
Gwyneth had remembered her past with Wesley and her life in Lumaria. She would find time to come back and see Wesley, but didn't plan to stay in Lumaria because the Powell family couldn't do without her.
In the letter, she explained Isabella's background clearly. She hoped that in the future, whether it was the Parker family or the Powell family, both would be Isabella's home, and that she could be happy whether in Lumaria or Novaria.
When Soren saw the gemstone ring, he was shocked.
"This is the gemstone ring my dad gave my mom!"
As if he had discovered something incredible, he opened the letter with great excitement and began reading.
As he read through the letter, Soren's expression changed from eagerness to astonishment!
He looked at William in disbelief. "My sister is Isabella?"
"That's right."
Soren was stunned.
He gripped the letter tightly, reading its contents over and over.
Besides joy in his eyes, there was more disbelief.
Just moments ago, he had seen Isabella in the newspaper, but never imagined that Isabella was Ainsley, his missing sister.
Soren stared at William in a daze, feeling like he was dreaming.
"William, you're not messing with me, are you?" He stared intently at William.
This was too sudden!
His long-missing mother had actually returned to Novaria, and Ainsley, who had disappeared with his mother, turned out to be the daughter the Taylor family had mistaken for their own!
Was this really true?
"This is Isabella's hair. If you don't believe it, go get a paternity test done." William pulled out a sealed transparent bag from his jacket pocket. Inside were indeed several strands of a girl's long hair.
Soren looked at the sealed bag in William's hand, confused. "Where did you get this?"
"I asked her for it the last time she came back to the country. She agreed."
Soren took the sealed bag from William and, without another word, left the office to find someone to do a paternity test.
——
At an identification agency in the city center.
Almost everyone from the Parker family had arrived.
They had all read Gwyneth's letter.
Wesley sat in a chair in the waiting room, gripping the gemstone ring tightly, his expression full of anticipation.
Was Isabella really his daughter?
He clasped his hands together in prayer.
In fact, this wasn't the first time they had done a paternity test with high hopes, but each time the result wasn't what they wanted, and they had been disappointed many times.
This letter was different. This letter was written by Gwyneth herself. This gemstone ring was real. Wesley so hoped that what the letter said was true, hoped so much that his wife and daughter were truly still alive.
As long as they were alive, as long as he could see them once more, that would be enough. He would be satisfied.
"Dad, this is a photo of that girl."
At the same time, Sebastian had already searched for all available information about Isabella.
There were some photos of her.
Soren glanced at Lawrence, who was nearby, clearly restless and anxious. The he said quietly, "Isabella is also the girl Lawrence has a crush on."
As soon as these words came out, everyone's gaze turned toward Lawrence.
