Chapter 364 Can Let You Return to the Hope Family
Delmar kept a cold face and limped away without stopping.
Watching Delmar's figure disappear from view, Alphonse frowned, then turned to the others present and said, "What are you all staring at? Keep practicing! Have you all mastered the fighting techniques I just taught you?"
The students quickly looked away.
After ancient martial arts class ended, everyone was talking about what happened, and they all saw Isabella in a new light.
"Isabella was amazing. Look at how badly she beat Delmar—he couldn't even fight back."
"If you ask me, Delmar's just useless. He couldn't even beat Isabella with one hand and one foot tied."
"Him?" someone said mockingly. "He's obsessed with women. Of course he's useless."
Everyone knew that before Delmar came to the noble academy, he spent every day chasing girls and sleeping around. He only toned it down a bit after arriving at Radiant University, acting all proper, but he'd actually already set his sights on several new female classmates, wanting to get them all.
Some of the guys actually found Delmar pretty annoying.
One guy's girlfriend had even been stolen by Delmar, and he hated Delmar's guts.
——
Delmar went to the school infirmary alone to get his wounds bandaged.
He sat on the hospital bed watching the doctor treat his injuries, thinking about what happened at the training ground, his eyes filled with dark resentment.
He truly hated Isabella now and wished he could tear her to pieces.
Delmar stayed overnight at the school infirmary.
Saskia appeared at the hospital room door.
She bit her lip and said softly, "Delmar, your roommate told me you were here. I came to check on you."
Saskia had brought some ointment for Delmar.
"This will help a lot. It really works." Saskia gently handed over the ointment.
She hadn't expected Delmar to lose to Isabella, much less get beaten so badly.
But then again, Isabella was from the Powell family—of course it wouldn't be that simple.
"Saskia, thank you." Delmar smiled. "You're so kind to bring me medicine."
Saskia pressed her lips together. "Delmar, Isabella she..."
"I was holding back yesterday." Delmar said with a relaxed smile. "You don't actually think I'm that useless, do you? I just can't bring myself to hit girls. If it had been a guy, the result would've been completely different."
Hearing Delmar say this, Saskia naturally wouldn't call him out.
She knew guys cared about saving face.
So Saskia pressed her lips together and said nothing.
But her calm reaction only provoked Delmar, and his expression instantly turned dark.
"You don't believe me, do you?"
Delmar said through gritted teeth, anger clear in his eyes. "You think I really couldn't beat her? You think I'm pathetic?"
Seeing Delmar suddenly lose control, panic flashed across Saskia's face. She quickly grabbed his hand and said, "No, that's not what I meant. Don't be angry..."
Delmar raised his hand and slammed it hard against the bed frame.
"I admit it—I really am no match for her. As a guy, I got humiliated like that..." A flash of intense hatred crossed Delmar's eyes. "She did it on purpose to embarrass me!"
He would never forget this humiliation!
Watching Delmar lose control like this, Saskia felt a strange feeling rise in her heart.
Delmar used to be gentle and refined, with a noble yet warm demeanor.
But now that feeling was completely shattered.
Thinking of Isabella's background, Saskia couldn't help but warn him: "Delmar, don't make an enemy of Isabella over this. It won't be good for you."
Delmar's expression was ugly. He kept a dark face and said nothing more.
The air fell into silence.
Saskia felt the atmosphere in the hospital room was weird, and the current Delmar felt too strange to her, radiating hostility—completely different from before.
"I... I'll go now."
Saskia didn't know why, but while she used to want to get close to Delmar, now she just wanted to escape as quickly as possible.
With that, Saskia left without looking back.
Delmar paid no attention to Saskia. His mind wasn't on her anyway. He pulled out his phone and dialed a number, saying in a low voice: "Find me a hypnotist, one who's skilled in mind manipulation technique."
Hypnosis covered many areas—nightmares, memory erasure, and so on. Mind manipulation technique was one of them.
Delmar clenched his palm.
He would crush Isabella under his foot and watch this woman become infatuated with him.
——
Kennedy came out of Gabriella's office, heading back to the villa dormitory.
Up ahead by the roadside, Delmar was waiting for her.
Delmar walked toward Kennedy, calling her name in a gentle voice, "Kennedy."
Because of Isabella, Kennedy naturally had no good feelings toward Delmar.
She only maintained basic courtesy between classmates, saying in a flat tone: "Delmar, did you need something?"
Delmar smiled. "Just wanted to ask you for a favor."
Kennedy raised her eyebrows slightly in surprise. "Ask me for a favor?"
She said in a casual tone: "Okay, go ahead. What do you need me to help you with?"
Delmar looked at her with a smile in his eyes. "Help me get Isabella to come out."
He couldn't make a move against Isabella within Radiant University.
Radiant University was jointly run by the seven great families. If he messed up here and made a big scene, he'd only bring trouble to the Puckett family.
He'd already found a hypnotist skilled in mind manipulation technique, and he was very satisfied.
But to make things go smoothly, he had to trick Isabella into the formation set up by the hypnotist to ensure the hypnotist could successfully use mind manipulation technique on Isabella.
Sometimes, mind manipulation technique required certain formations to work, especially for more difficult techniques.
Kennedy's eyes immediately became guarded.
"What are you trying to do?"
A few days ago in ancient martial arts class, Isabella had made Delmar lose face in front of the whole class, and Isabella had rejected Delmar multiple times before. Now Delmar was asking her to get Isabella to come out?
Kennedy didn't need to think twice to know.
Delmar definitely wanted revenge on Isabella.
"Don't worry about what I'm going to do. Just tell me—will you help me get Isabella out or not?" Delmar said flatly.
Kennedy didn't need to think. "I won't help you get Isabella out."
"And whatever you're planning to do to Isabella, I suggest you give it up."
Hearing this, Delmar smirked.
"Kennedy, don't worry. If I came to you, it means I can offer you something tempting enough. As long as you help me, I can get you back into the Hope family. So—will you help or not?"
"Get me back into the Hope family?" Kennedy frowned.
