Chapter 349 Not the Lowest Level Yet?
Saskia returned to the lab and found Delmar looking at her. A shy blush immediately spread across her face.
During the experiment that followed, Saskia couldn't help but take the initiative to talk to Delmar.
Delmar talked freely, his slightly teasing tone deliberately carrying a hint of flirtation that made Saskia's heart flutter.
While Delmar was deliberately being flirtatious with Saskia, his eyes would occasionally glance over at Isabella in the distance.
He figured he should be able to see signs of jealousy on Isabella's face.
However, to his surprise, Isabella seemed completely oblivious to his flirtatious chat with Saskia. Her eyes were only on the experiment, and she didn't even glance at him once.
Delmar became even more annoyed.
Did she really have such disdain for him?
"Delmar, what are you looking at?"
Saskia noticed that Delmar had been staring in Isabella's direction for quite a while. A hint of jealousy rose in her heart, and her tone carried a touch of grievance.
Delmar quickly snapped back to attention, a gentle smile spreading across his face. "Nothing, I just noticed Isabella's experiment is going pretty fast. If I'm not mistaken, she's already at the final step."
"How could she possibly be that fast?"
Saskia looked over in surprise.
The next second, Saskia's expression changed.
Isabella really was at the final step!
A flash of jealousy appeared in Saskia's eyes, then thinking of something, she let out a mocking laugh.
"Isabella, you don't need to be so eager for quick success, do you?" Saskia walked over, glanced at the things on Isabella's lab bench, and smiled faintly. "We're all not even halfway through and you're almost done. Are you sure you were being careful?"
"What if what you produce is wrong?"
Suddenly hearing Saskia's aggressive remarks, Isolde looked up and warned, "Saskia."
But Saskia ignored Isolde and continued to look at Isabella mockingly.
Since Isabella had already rejected Delmar, she didn't need to show Isabella any consideration for Delmar's sake anymore.
"I'm not you, I'm not that stupid." Isabella looked up, meeting Saskia's gaze, her tone flat and carrying a hint of coldness. "Someone who can even write the experimental steps wrong shouldn't be here questioning whether I did the experiment wrong. You'd be better off using this time to finish your own data."
Saskia was slightly annoyed at these words. "Who are you calling stupid?"
Isolde sensed an unusual fluctuation in the air, and seeing Saskia's clenched fists as if gathering her Inner Energy, watching as Saskia seemed ready to make a move, Isolde quickly rushed over to hold her back.
"Saskia, what are you doing? Didn't you hear a word I said earlier? We're all in the same group, Isabella hasn't done anything, why do you have to target her?"
Saskia's hand hanging at her side loosened slightly. She let out a cold snort, turned around, and went back to her own lab bench.
Isabella paid no attention to Saskia. She refocused her attention on the experiment, completed the final step, and obtained the experimental data.
This time, the average value finally matched up.
Isabella entered the dozens of important data points recorded during the experiment into the computer one by one.
"Isabella, you're done?" Isolde noticed Isabella's actions and looked at her with a smile.
Isabella nodded.
"The data matched up?" Isolde asked again.
"Yes, it matched."
After saying this, Isabella packed up her things and left the lab.
Watching Isabella's figure disappear from view, Isolde turned to look at Saskia. "Saskia, did you hear that? Although Isabella worked fast, the final result was fine. You really embarrassed yourself earlier."
Saskia's expression stiffened for a moment. She bit her lip and took a deep breath.
What was Isabella's brain made of? Not only was her experimental progress far ahead of hers, but the results were also accurate.
So what did that make her compared to Isabella?
Saskia felt more frustrated than ever.
But soon, thinking of something, she said lightly, "She's like Kennedy, just having a good brain—what's the use?"
Isn't she still from the lowest status?
"Don't say that in front of Isabella." Isolde glanced at her and reminded, "You saw how Isabella dealt with Theodosia on the first day. I think Isabella is very strange. Although she's from an ordinary family, she doesn't have that submissive attitude of those from ordinary families at all. Instead, she seems like someone you shouldn't mess with."
In their eyes, families were divided into only three categories.
The seven great families, the thirty-six noble families, and ordinary families.
Since Isabella wasn't one of the first two, she naturally came from an ordinary family.
Saskia disagreed. "That's because she hasn't been beaten down yet. You think after she offended Theodosia, Theodosia will let her off easy? Just wait and see. Once Theodosia deals with her, she won't be like this anymore."
——
Over the next few days, Isabella went back and forth between dorm 112 and the experimental building every day.
However, one day, as soon as she left the experimental building, she saw a familiar figure—
Yasmin.
Yasmin waved at her.
At this time, there was no one at the entrance of the experimental building. Isabella quickly walked over. "How did you end up here?"
"Came to see you."
Yasmin thought for a moment. "Haven't eaten yet? There's a restaurant over there, want to grab a meal together?"
Isabella nodded and followed Yasmin toward the restaurant.
"How have you been lately?"
After sitting down in the restaurant, Yasmin asked casually.
"Pretty good."
"That's good then."
The two chatted while eating.
Yasmin had indeed just stopped by to check on Isabella, and seeing that Isabella was in good shape, she felt relieved.
Halfway through the meal, Isabella's phone rang.
It was a video call from Gwyneth.
"Ansley, have you eaten yet?"
Gwyneth was very concerned about Isabella's situation at school, calling her several times every day, just short of sending someone to monitor Isabella directly.
"I'm having dinner with Yasmin." Isabella turned the camera toward Yasmin.
Yasmin smiled at the camera.
Gwyneth asked Isabella about some aspects of her life and studies, then said, "This weekend I'll send a driver to pick you up from school to come home for two days, okay? Mom misses you."
"Okay."
——
"Isn't that Isabella? How is she coming out of the restaurant with Yasmin?"
Not far from the restaurant entrance, on the roadside, Isolde watched Yasmin and Isabella walk out of the restaurant together, a trace of suspicion flashing in her eyes.
Saskia quickly looked up.
She saw Yasmin and Isabella walk out of the restaurant at the same time. Although they were side by side on the same line, they were several meters apart. After coming out, Yasmin and Isabella just glanced at each other before going their separate ways.
"That girl who came out with Isabella—is that really Yasmin?" Saskia asked in disbelief.
