Chapter 293 Kismet Hates Isabella

Chapter 293 Kismet Hates Isabella

Mireille thought Gwyneth's way of handling this was completely unacceptable.

Gwyneth's face darkened. "I was the one who let her stay at the castle. She was injured by Kismet, and I bear some responsibility for that. Of course I can't just stand by and do nothing!"

Mireille was incredulous. "Why are you protecting that girl so much? Who exactly is she?"

"Who she is doesn't matter. What matters is that she was injured in our Powell family castle."

"Grandma, I'm finished eating. Take your time. I'm going to the hospital."

Seeing Gwyneth getting up to leave in a hurry, Mireille quickly said, "What are you going to the hospital for? Are you going to see that girl?"

"Yes, I'm planning to check on her."

Mireille was immediately furious. "Why do you care so much about an outsider? Gwyneth, what's wrong with you? How did you become like this?"

——

Hospital.

When Gwyneth arrived, Isabella was in much better spirits, eating her meal from a small table.

"How are you? Feeling better?" Gwyneth asked.

"I almost thought I was going to die," Isabella said.

When she saw that arrow hit her chest, her mind went blank. She thought she was definitely going to die.

Unexpectedly, the wound missed her heart by just a bit.

She pulled at the corner of her mouth. "Looks like Kismet's aim still isn't good enough."

Hearing her say this, Gwyneth raised an eyebrow. "You're still in the mood to joke about this?"

Isabella asked her, "How is Kismet? Did the tiger bite her to death?"

"Not dead. Lost an arm though."

Isabella felt it was a bit of a pity. "Lucky for her."

"Gwyneth, your tiger is really fierce."

Gwyneth's dark eyes stared at her. "Do you know why it's so fierce?"

Isabella shrugged. "How would I know? It's your tiger. Don't you know yourself?"

Gwyneth had to explain, "Pippa isn't usually like this. I've already had it locked up."

She thought for a moment, then asked, "Have you seen Pippa somewhere before?"

"No, how would I have seen it? It's an exotic beast."

Hearing her say this, Gwyneth rubbed her temples.

It seemed Isabella really hadn't seen Pippa before.

"This incident was started by Kismet. Either way, she's already paid the price with one arm. I hope you'll both let this go and not cause any more trouble," Gwyneth said.

Isabella laughed coldly. "Even if I'm willing to let it go, you need to ask Kismet if she can let it rest."

Gwyneth's expression grew serious. "She won't dare do anything else."

"I hope so."

"Get some rest. If you need anything, just call the doctors or nurses. I have other matters to attend to, so I'll be going." Gwyneth had many things to handle and didn't have time to stay. After a few words of instruction, she prepared to leave.

"Wait." Isabella called out to her. "I want to go see that tiger. Is that okay?"

Gwyneth was puzzled. "Why do you want to see it? Aren't you afraid it'll hurt you?"

"I don't think it will hurt me. Besides, it did me a huge favor."

Gwyneth didn't say yes or no, only saying, "You have the token. You can enter any place in this castle, but you're not allowed to go to the main hall."

"Got it."

Isabella took out her phone and saw that William had sent her many messages, asking how she was doing at the Powell family castle.

After thinking about it, Isabella decided not to tell William about her injury, only saying she was doing well at the Powell family castle.

She put down her phone, and the hospital room door was suddenly pushed open again.

Isabella saw Kismet standing in the doorway and was somewhat surprised.

Kismet had passed by the room and saw Isabella by chance. Isabella had also been transferred from the ICU to a premium care room. Though not on the same floor as Kismet's, they were in the same area.

Kismet wore a hospital gown, one arm hanging empty. She stared hard at Isabella, her eyes filled with bone-deep hatred. "Why are you still here? Isabella, my hand is like this because of you. How dare you still stay in our Powell family hospital room? Get out!"

She screamed hysterically, "Someone come! Quick, throw her out! Make her leave!"

Several nurses rushed over and quickly tried to restrain Kismet.

But Kismet pushed the nurses away like a madwoman and charged at Isabella, raising her hand to grab her.

Isabella grabbed her wrist and said coldly, "You're already disabled now, and you still want to attack me? Isn't that asking for trouble?"

The word "disabled" deeply triggered Kismet. Blood rushed to her head and she fainted on the spot.

"Ms. Kismet Powell!"

"Ms. Kismet Powell, what's wrong?"

Several nurses frantically carried Kismet to her own room.

About half an hour later, Kismet woke up on her own.

Remembering the scene before she fainted, Kismet was so angry she smashed everything breakable in the room.

"How dare she call me disabled!"

"You're the disabled one! Your whole family is disabled!"

"Isabella, go to hell!"

Kismet hated Isabella to the core and wanted to tear her to pieces.

But there was nothing she could do now.

Thinking this, Kismet started smashing things crazily again.

The nurses in the room didn't dare breathe loudly and could only watch Kismet lose it.

Finnegan walked into the room and, seeing this scene, quickly stopped Kismet. "Sister, stop smashing things. Be careful not to hurt your other hand. I know you're angry. I'm just as angry. I promise I'll make Isabella wish she were dead!"

Kismet barely stopped, crying and shouting, "Finnegan, you have to get revenge for me. You must get revenge for me!"

"Don't worry. That Isabella—" Finnegan gritted his teeth, his eyes full of hatred. "I'll definitely make her pay!"

——

Isabella stayed in the hospital for a week. The doctor told her she was recovering well and could be discharged.

Before leaving, Isabella specifically asked around and learned that Kismet had also been discharged.

For the past few days, Kismet had come to harass her every day, blaming her for losing an arm and insisting it was all her fault.

Isabella just found it unreasonable. It was clearly the tiger that bit her, yet she blamed everything on Isabella. What a case of making up charges.

Speaking of that tiger, Isabella thought about how it had been locked up for biting someone and actually felt a bit sorry for it. So she got a whole box full of fish to bring to the tiger.

All live, jumping fish.

Last time Dane mentioned that this tiger loved seafood, especially fish, particularly live fish.

A tiger that loves fish? Aren't cats the ones who love fish?

Filled with curiosity, Isabella came to where Pippa was being held.

Pippa was locked in a chamber converted from a cave, with a large stone door at the entrance.

Isabella stood at the stone door, not expecting the person guarding it to be Ollie.

When Ollie saw Isabella, his face immediately darkened. "Why is it you? What are you doing here?"

"I came to see Pippa," Isabella said.

Ollie sneered. "Who gave you the nerve to come see Pippa? Besides, does Pippa need you to visit? Who do you think you are? And if it weren't for you, Ms. Kismet Powell wouldn't have been injured. I really don't know how someone as heartless as you still has the nerve to stay here. Leave now!"
