Chapter 249 Vastly Different from Ms. Waverly
Isabella was certain this absolutely wasn't Hayden's doing.
After she helped Hayden secure that Crown District project, Hayden's attitude toward her was completely different from her past life. Rather than wanting her dead, Hayden probably hoped she'd stay alive and well now, since only while alive could she continuously bring benefits to the Taylor family.
"However, I'm guessing the person trying to kill me this time is probably working with whoever shot at me on the mountaintop last time."
This group, like the previous ones, were all ancient martial arts professionals, and they were all dressed like assassins. It was very likely that because they failed to kill her last time, they sent out another group with better skills.
William nodded after hearing this. "Looks like as long as we find those three people who shot at you on the mountaintop, we can expose both the person behind it and whoever hurt you this time."
He remembered Isabella had described those three people's features. She'd seen one person's face - half of it was disfigured, and another person was missing a pinky finger. These features were quite distinctive.
After the last incident, the Lumaria police had issued a warrant. Based on these features, they should find those three people soon!
"You need capable people protecting you right now. I have two skilled ancient martial arts professionals under me - Alton Baldwin and Tyrell Baldwin. Starting today, they'll protect you until we catch whoever's behind this."
After speaking, William commanded toward the door in a deep voice: "Alton, Tyrell, come in!"
Alton and Tyrell walked in.
Both looked quite young.
They entered and first nodded at William. "Mr. Brown."
"What are your orders?" Tyrell asked.
William pointed at Isabella and said to Alton and Tyrell: "Starting today, you don't need to handle the Celestria matters anymore. You just need to focus on protecting her."
Hearing this, Alton looked at the girl on the hospital bed. When he saw her face clearly, his pupils contracted slightly.
"Mr. Brown, she is..."
"She's Isabella, my girlfriend," William said.
"What?"
Alton's expression changed dramatically.
"Mr. Brown, how can you date another woman? What about Ms. Waverly..."
Before Alton could finish, William warned him sternly, "Alton!"
Tyrell also quickly tugged at Alton's clothes, signaling him to stop talking.
Alton clenched his fists but said no more.
William narrowed his eyes. "The people who hurt Isabella this time were all highly skilled ancient martial arts professionals. Similar assassination attempts might happen again, so you must stay alert at all times."
Alton nodded. "Understood."
After William finished giving instructions, he let Alton and Tyrell leave.

Hearing Casey's words, Isabella's eyes remained coldly indifferent. "I'm the chairman of Celestial Jewels. So what if you tell Chase? I'm firing someone from my own company - can Chase really interfere?"
"Don't think I don't know that Celestial Jewels is just temporarily under your name by Mr. Taylor!" Casey snorted.
Even though Celestial Jewels' chairman had changed from Chase to Isabella, he didn't think Isabella could call the shots!
