Chapter 187 We, the Rodriguez Family, Are Not Done with You!
Electra spotted Isabella in the crowd right away.
When his eyes met Isabella's cold gaze, the pain from the abuse he'd just suffered seemed to become real all over again.
He was so scared his whole body was shaking. He immediately spilled everything:
"It was Abigail! Abigail from the Rodriguez family found me and gave me fifty thousand dollars to hide in this room ahead of time!"
"She said if I could successfully... successfully rape Isabella, she'd give me another hundred thousand dollars!"
"But I didn't succeed. Isabella tied me up instead."
After speaking, Electra looked nervously at Isabella, afraid he'd said something wrong that might upset her.
Isabella raised her eyebrows slightly.
How was it Abigail?
Wasn't it supposed to be Bianca?
But Electra probably wasn't lying. He didn't have the guts for that.
Electra's voice wasn't quiet, and everyone at the door heard him. Instantly there was an uproar.
Hayden's face turned extremely ugly.
Everyone was shocked beyond belief.
Abigail's face turned deathly pale. She never expected Electra would be subdued by Isabella. Wasn't Isabella drugged? How could she possibly still have strength?
Even more, she never expected Electra would spill everything without hesitation!
Countless eyes turned to Abigail.
"What! How could the Rodriguez family's second daughter do such a thing? That's so evil!"
"She's a girl herself. Doesn't she know how important a girl's reputation is? She actually hired someone to ruin Isabella's reputation!"
"How does the Rodriguez family raise their children? How did they raise such a monster?"
"..."
Abigail's expression instantly became panicked, and her face looked terrible.
Unable to stand everyone pointing fingers at her, she glared angrily at Isabella. "Isabella! You did this on purpose!"
Isabella didn't drink that glass of wine at all! Otherwise how could she be perfectly fine!
But she couldn't figure out where things went wrong.
Why didn't Isabella drink that wine? Did she know the drink was drugged?
Isabella looked at Abigail and suddenly laughed coldly. "I did it on purpose? You mean I purposely made you hire someone to harm me? Abigail, I'd like to ask you—what deep hatred is there between us that you'd harm me like this?"
"I... I..." Abigail opened her mouth to argue back but found she couldn't say anything. Her face flushed bright red.
"Abigail, you're really ridiculous. You hired someone to ruin Isabella's reputation, this man has already exposed you, and you're still acting so righteous."
"Exactly. Abigail, why would you do this? Could it be because you're jealous of Isabella?"
"Abigail, you're just terrible!"
The rich girls nearby couldn't stand it anymore.
Some of them had pretty good relationships with Abigail, but they never imagined she could be such a vicious person.
Who would dare to be close friends with her now?
Abigail was left speechless, her face pale. Everyone was looking at her with contempt, making her feel humiliated and angry.
Abigail instinctively wanted to leave.
But just as she turned around, Isabella's ice-cold voice came from behind:
"Where do you think you're going?"
Abigail frowned. "Where I go is none of your business."
Isabella laughed. "You hired someone to harm me, and now I've caught him. Not only are you not giving me an explanation, but you want to flee?"
Abigail had always been like this. Maybe the Rodriguez family spoiled her too much, so she was this pampered and did whatever she wanted.
But today, she used her spoiled attitude in the wrong place.
Hearing Isabella say "flee," Abigail argued back defiantly: "It's not as serious as you're making it sound. You didn't suffer any loss."
"I didn't suffer a loss because I could fight him off, but you hired someone to harm me. Your actions have already broken the law."
"Stop trying to scare me!" Abigail shouted. "You're perfectly fine! Let's just pretend this never happened!"
As if to cover up her guilt, she raised her voice considerably.
At these words, the people around couldn't hold back anymore.
"How can the Rodriguez family's younger daughter be so unreasonable? She did something wrong and won't even apologize, yet she's still so arrogant."
"I really don't know how the Rodriguez family raised their daughter, spoiling her into this state—doing whatever she wants, being completely unreasonable."
"..."
"This can't be treated like nothing happened." Isabella waved her phone. "I've already called the police."
Called the police...
Hearing this, Abigail's face went pale for a moment.
"You're lying! Impossible, you couldn't have called the police!"
With so many people here, would Isabella really dare make this into a big deal?
Thinking this, Abigail saw Isabella hold her phone screen up in front of her.
The top call record showed the emergency number, with a call duration of 3 minutes and 57 seconds.
Abigail's pupils constricted sharply.
She shouted: "Are you crazy? Isabella, how could you call the police? Over such a small matter you actually dared call the police—are you trying to completely break ties with our Rodriguez family?"
"Calling the police is every citizen's legal right. Abigail, the nearest police station is only about fifteen minutes away from here. In probably five or six more minutes they'll arrive. Instead of yelling here, you should think carefully about how you'll face police questioning..."
Isabella paused, her dark eyes fixed on her, then smiled faintly: "Or rather, think carefully about how many years you'll be sentenced to."
Isabella was smiling as she spoke, but her voice was ice-cold.
Abigail stared blankly at Isabella. Her mind seemed to stop working for a few seconds, her ears filled with ringing.
The next second, she couldn't control herself and burst into tears.
Abigail was both angry and scared. She screamed shrilly at Isabella: "Isabella, cancel the police report! Cancel it now!"
She just hid a man in Isabella's room, that's all.
And Isabella actually called the police to arrest her.
What kind of behavior was this?
Treating her like this.
Abigail cried and reached out to grab Isabella's phone.
Isabella caught her outstretched hand and easily pushed her away.
She looked at Abigail and laughed softly. "Why would I cancel the report? Your parents can't educate you properly, so I'm doing it for them. Isn't that good?"
Abigail's eyes turned red with anger, glaring at Isabella with both viciousness and despair.
Isabella was a lunatic!
"Isabella, you'll regret this!"
Isabella glanced at her. "The one who should regret this is you when you're locked up in prison."
Abigail's lips trembled with anger, both terrified and furious.
"Isabella, I won't be sentenced! I'm calling my dad right now!" Abigail cried as she pulled out her phone to make a call. "I'm going to tell my dad you called the police on me. Our Rodriguez family isn't done with you!"
