Chapter 186 Someone Is Hidden in the Room
"Sister? Are you okay?"
Bianca supported Isabella, looking at her with concern.
Isabella clutched her temple in pain, her body seeming to lose all strength as she leaned half her weight against Bianca.
"Sister, what's wrong?"
Isabella's brow furrowed deeply.
"My head... I'm so dizzy."
The next second, Isabella made as if to collapse to the other side.
Bianca quickly steadied Isabella. Seeing her completely lose control like this, she sneered inwardly.
This drug was working surprisingly well.
"Sister, let me help you upstairs to rest."
Bianca supported Isabella into the elevator.
Arriving on the second floor, Bianca took out a room card, swiped open the door, pushed Isabella inside, and closed the door.
As she left, a deep smile played at the corners of her mouth.
The moment the door closed, Isabella's eyes immediately became clear and alert.
Her gaze swept toward the bathroom.
The next second, sure enough, a half-naked man emerged from inside.
The man pushed the door open, about to unbuckle his pants, when he saw Isabella standing quietly by the door watching him. He froze.
This... Isabella's condition wasn't quite what he'd expected.
Whatever.
The man's eyes fell on Isabella. She was heart-stoppingly beautiful.
Who cared what state she was in? She was this gorgeous, and he was getting paid—he couldn't lose either way.
The man raised an eyebrow at Isabella with a smile and continued unbuckling his belt, saying as he did, "Beautiful, don't be impatient. I'll satisfy you right away."
Isabella smiled, picked up the wine glass beside her, strode up to the man, and without a word smashed it against his forehead.
The movement was smooth and swift. The man was completely stunned, his eyes going wide.
He hadn't expected this woman to come in and immediately crack him over the head.
"You dare hit me?"
The man wiped the wine from his face and reached out to grab Isabella.
Before the man could touch Isabella, his hand was seized.
Isabella raised her hand, and in less than a second, the broken half of the glass was embedded in the man's shoulder.
A blood-curdling scream rang through the entire room.
The man looked at the glass stuck in his shoulder, at the blood gushing from the wound, and finally realized something was wrong. Fear rose in his eyes.
He tried to pull his hand back, but the next second, his shoulder was dislocated.
The man was completely frozen. Both his shoulders were immobilized. He looked at Isabella like she was a ghost, stammering, "You... you you..."
Before he could speak, Isabella grabbed the man's throat, pressed his head, and slammed it against the wall.
Isabella asked him, "Does that feel good?"
"Didn't expect to get beaten when you came here?"
With that, Isabella raised her knee and drove it into the man's stomach. The man vomited filth all over the floor, his stomach churning, his head throbbing with dull pain, his whole world going dark.
"Remember this pain. If you don't want to go through it again, you'd better be smart."
Another round of punches and kicks followed...
A minute later, the man huddled in the corner with his knees drawn up, not daring to move.
"What's your name?" Isabella asked in a low voice, cracking her knuckles as she looked at him.
The man's mind went blank, and he instinctively gave his name, "Electra Ross."
He hadn't expected things to turn out like this at all. This was completely different from what he'd imagined.
Trembling, he practically crawled to Isabella's feet. "I was wrong! I was really wrong! Please let me go, don't hit me anymore, I'm begging you. It was a woman... she told me to wait for you here... she made me do it!"
"Of course I know why you're here." Isabella looked at the man kneeling before her. "So, you know what to say later, right?"
The man nodded frantically, "I know! I know!"
Isabella glanced around, found the rope prepared for her in the bedside table, efficiently tied up the man's hands and feet, threw him in the corner, stuffed a wad of cloth in his mouth, and then stormed out.
Two minutes later.
Bianca led a group of people to knock on Isabella's door.
"Sister! Sister! How are you feeling? Are you better?"
No response from inside.
Hayden also began pounding on the door. "Isabella! Bianca said you're not feeling well. How are you now? Can Dad come in and check on you?"
Still no response from inside.
Hayden was genuinely worried now. Earlier at the banquet hall he couldn't find Isabella, and only learned from Bianca that she wasn't feeling well.
Hayden knocked on the door again. "Isabella, how are you? Don't scare Dad."
Normally, he wouldn't be this concerned about Isabella.
But now Isabella was different—he was counting on her to bring prosperity to the Taylor family.
The surrounding guests, seeing no response to the knocking, also showed worried expressions. "Mr. Taylor, could Ms. Taylor have fainted inside?"
"What if something happened?"
"Dad, why don't we have the hotel manager help open the door? If sister really has fainted, we need to open it quickly." Bianca suggested.
Without hesitation, Hayden immediately called for the manager.
The manager came over and quickly swiped the door card.
The lock opened.
At the same moment, Isabella's puzzled voice came from the hallway: "What are you all doing here?"
Everyone whipped around to see Isabella standing a few meters away, arms crossed, looking in their direction.
Bianca froze.
How was Isabella out here?
Shouldn't she be in the room?
Hearing Isabella's voice, Hayden didn't immediately push open the door, breathing a sigh of relief.
"Isabella, Bianca just said you weren't feeling well. Dad was worried sick."
Isabella walked over. "I'm not unwell. I was just a bit tired, so I came up to rest. But when I opened the door, I found someone hiding in my room."
"What?!" Hayden was shocked. "Someone was hiding in your room?"
"Yes!" Isabella nodded and pushed the door open directly.
The scene inside immediately came into everyone's view.
A half-naked man lay tied hand and foot in the corner.
Bianca looked at the disheveled man, her expression stiffening, her face immediately turning ugly.
How could this be?
According to the plan, she'd sent Isabella into the room, and when she brought Hayden upstairs and opened the door, they should have seen Isabella pinned beneath the man...
Instead, Isabella appeared unharmed in the hallway, while the man was tied up...
The hotel room was a mess, clearly having been through a fight.
The guests were all somewhat confused by the scene.
"Isabella, what exactly happened?" Hayden asked.
"When I entered, I saw this strange man. He tried to attack me, so I fought with him, tied him up and threw him there, and was about to call the police. But when I came back after calling, I found you all at the door."
After hearing the whole story, Hayden's face darkened. "What's wrong with the security here? How did they let a strange man in? And he hid in Isabella's room!"
If anything had happened to Isabella, it would have been a huge loss for the Taylor family!
The guests who'd come to see what was happening also began discussing, "What's going on here? How did he get into Ms. Taylor's room?"
"Good thing Ms. Taylor can handle herself. If it had been some defenseless girl, who knows what would have happened!"
"Mr. Taylor, you need to investigate this properly. You need to find out what this man was here for. Someone with bad intentions might be trying to harm Isabella."
Bianca hid in the crowd, listening to everyone talking at once, clenching her fists, a bad feeling rising in her heart.
Of course Hayden was going to investigate.
He strode toward Electra, yanked the cloth from Electra's mouth, and demanded harshly, "Who are you? How did you end up in my daughter's room?"
