Chapter 177 Should He Confess?
Infinity Entertainment Inc.
Lawrence had just gotten back from the film set. A whole month of closed-set filming had been incredibly boring.
"Don't schedule any work for me next," he said to Dash.
"What's wrong? Did something happen?"
"I'm going on dates with Isabella these next few days."
He hadn't seen her in a while and missed her terribly.
Dash wiped the sweat from his forehead. "But your Isabella might not have time to go on dates with you."
Lawrence asked, "Why not?"
"The Taylor family is throwing her a birthday party in a couple of days," Dash said.
"What?" Lawrence jumped up from the couch in shock. "Why didn't you tell me about her birthday earlier? I need to prepare a gift for her in advance!"
"There's still time to prepare now."
"By the way, do I have anything scheduled on her birthday?" Lawrence asked.
Dash immediately had a bad feeling and asked tentatively, "Why? Don't tell me you want to attend her birthday party?"
"Of course! How can I miss Isabella's birthday?"
He was trying to win her over now, and if he was pursuing her, he naturally had to make a good impression!
Dash immediately stopped him. "No way!"
"Are you crazy? Who are you? Who is she? In the public eye, you two have nothing to do with each other. People don't even know that the girl who accompanied you at the concert was her. If you just show up like that, you'll only cause trouble for her!"
"Then what should I do?" Lawrence hung his head and said quietly, "But I want to go. It's such an important day, I don't want to miss it. Plus, I want to give her a gift..."
But Dash had a point. If he went, it would probably cause chaos.
He might end up ruining a perfectly good birthday party.
Dash thought for a moment and said, "There is one way though. You can find someone to go in your place. Ms. Taylor will definitely understand what you mean and will certainly understand why you can't go in person."
After hearing Dash's words, a flash of light immediately crossed Lawrence's eyes. "You're right, I'll find someone to go for me!"
He sat down right away and pulled out his phone to type a message.
Lawrence: @Soren @Theodore @Sebastian, urgent matter!
Sebastian: ?
Lawrence: Isabella's birthday is coming up. My status is too special to attend her birthday party. Third brother, can you go for me?
Sebastian: I can't help you with this. I'm not in the country.
Lawrence: @Theodore, where are you? Can you go for me?
Theodore: When is it?
Lawrence: The day after tomorrow.
Theodore: Can't do it. I have surgery that day. The patient made the appointment six months ago, can't reschedule.
Lawrence: @Soren, what about you? You must have time.
Soren: I do have time, but I don't want to go.
Lawrence: ...
Lawrence: Big brother, please, my future happiness depends on you.
Soren: You still haven't won her over?
Lawrence: Big brother, Ember locked me away on set for a whole month. Where would I find time to see Isabella?
Soren: Don't make excuses for your incompetence.
Lawrence: ...
Sebastian: Hahaha, this is killing me.
Lawrence: Big brother, can you really stand to watch your fourth brother pine away, living in a daze every day?
Soren: I can absolutely stand it.
Lawrence: ...
"What's going on? Something happen?" William noticed Soren checking his phone repeatedly and looked at him with curiosity.
Soren had come to see him today to discuss a business deal.
Soren smiled faintly and said casually, "It's Lawrence."
"Your fourth brother?" William pulled out a document and pushed it toward Soren, then asked, "What's up with him?"
"He's recently fallen for a girl." Soren took the document and chatted while flipping through it.
William raised an eyebrow. "That's a good thing. When you have someone you like, your heart finally has a place to rest."
Soren's hand paused while flipping through the documents. He looked at William in disbelief, finding it hard to believe such words came from William's mouth.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" William asked, confused by the stare.
"I just feel like you've become more human."
William used to be such a cold person. When exactly did he start to change?
"But he hasn't won her over yet," Soren continued. "And I'm guessing he hasn't even confessed his feelings."
"Hasn't confessed?" William frowned with some concern.
Seeing his expression, Soren said, "Why does it seem like you're actually worried when I mention Lawrence hasn't confessed?"
William nodded. "I am a bit worried."
"William, since when do you care so much about Lawrence?"
"I'm not concerned about him. I just can't stand regrets. If you like someone but don't say it soon enough, by the time you can no longer say it, you'll probably regret it deeply."
Soren looked up and stared intently at William. "Where are all these insights coming from?"
"These all come from my experience with relationships, which inspired these thoughts."
Soren was confused.
Experience with relationships?
William, like him, clearly hadn't been with any women all these years. Where would he get relationship experience?
"Since he likes her, you can tell Lawrence to confess sooner rather than later, to avoid regrets," William said.
Soren thought about it and felt William had a point.
If Lawrence didn't confess now, wouldn't it be too late if he waited until the girl had a boyfriend?
Better to strike first.
"Alright, I'll tell him in a bit to make his feelings clear to that girl as soon as possible."
"That would be best." William nodded with satisfaction.
William added, "If they really get together, remember to have Lawrence treat me to dinner."
Soren laughed. "Of course. If it works out, it'll be thanks to your reminder. Not only will he treat you to dinner, he'll make you the godfather of their kids!"
William: "I'd be honored."
Soren closed the document and pushed it back to him, saying decisively, "The profit distribution is fine. Let's go with this."
With the deal settled, Soren walked out of the Brown Group and pulled out his phone to @ Lawrence in the group chat.
"I'll go for you on her birthday."
When Lawrence saw the message, he was overjoyed.
"That's great, big brother! I love you!"
"I knew you wouldn't abandon me!"
Soren sent him another message.
"Since you like her, confess soon. Don't let things drag on and miss your chance."
Lawrence held his phone, looking at Soren's reply, his heart skipping a beat.
Should he confess?
