Chapter 130 He Disappeared, and This Is Your Attitude?
"Grandpa! Grandpa!"
Xanthe ran out of the house.
"That troublesome person has been caught. Can we go after that girl named Aurora now?"
Maddox patted her head. "Did you take your medicine?"
Xanthe nodded.
Three years ago, she was diagnosed with uremia. Her kidneys were severely damaged and couldn't function properly. Now she could only rely on medication and dialysis twice a week to stay alive.
But dialysis just meant drawing blood from her body, filtering it through a machine, and sending it back in. It couldn't solve the problem of her kidney failure. Uremia would trigger a series of complications, and she could die at any moment.
Last year alone, she had been on the operating table four times. Once, she almost died on it.
She never wanted to experience that kind of pain again. She wanted to be like a healthy person, not needing medication or dialysis, able to have healthy kidneys.
Thinking about how she would soon get a new lease on life, Xanthe felt so excited she could fly.
Maddox saw her excitement. "Xanthe, I know you're very excited right now. Grandpa feels the same way. The longer we wait, the more things can go wrong, so we need to catch that girl as soon as possible."
Maddox's sharp eyes turned to Jagger. "Jagger, bring that girl named Aurora here as soon as possible."
"Yes."
——
The Taylor Villa.
Hayden paced anxiously around the house.
"Still no news?"
His subordinate shook his head.
It had now been twenty-four hours since Bianca and Gabriel went missing.
There was no news from the school either.
Olivia covered her face, crying. "Please let nothing happen to Bianca and Gabriel..."
Just then, Yves hurried in.
"Mr. Hayden Taylor! Mrs. Taylor! Mr. Chase Taylor is back!"
Hayden and Olivia immediately looked over.
Chase had been abroad on business when he got the news and came back right away.
He strode in, his eyes sweeping around the room. Hayden, Olivia, and Tobias all had worried looks on their faces.
Chase turned and asked, "Dad, what exactly happened? How did Gabriel and Bianca go missing?"
"Friday after school, the driver who went to pick up Gabriel and Bianca lost contact and didn't come back. That's when I realized something was wrong." Olivia said with red-rimmed eyes. "I called the police and sent bodyguards to the school to look for them, but the school said Gabriel and Bianca weren't staying at school..."
"There's still no news at all. It's been twenty-four hours."
"Did you report it to the police?" Chase asked.
"I already told Timothy King." Hayden sighed. "He's already investigating with his team, but there's no news yet."
The "Timothy" Hayden mentioned was a friend of his who worked at the police station.
Having someone you know handle things always makes it more convenient.
Chase nodded and asked again, "Where's Isabella? Didn't she come home?"
Hayden shook his head. "She doesn't know yet that Bianca and Gabriel are missing."
"Dad, Mom, don't worry too much." Chase tried hard to stay calm. "The Taylor Family has never had grudges with anyone. Nothing should happen."
His eyes darkened. "I'm going to the school."
"It happened on the way home from school. If Gabriel and Bianca had a conflict with someone at school, Isabella might know something."
Before leaving, Chase glanced at Tobias. "Tobias, take care of Mom and Dad. I'll be back soon."
"Go ahead." Tobias nodded. "I'll stay home with Mom and Dad."
When Chase arrived at Class 11, they were in the middle of a math test.
Chase stood in the hallway and immediately spotted Isabella sitting in the back row.
The math teacher who was preparing lessons at the podium saw the figure outside the window, got up and went out. "Who are you looking for?"
"I'm looking for Isabella. I'm Isabella's brother."
The math teacher nodded without saying anything, went into the classroom, walked to Isabella who was focused on her test paper, and gently tapped her desk. "Isabella, your brother is looking for you."
Isabella looked out the window.
It was Chase.
Isabella put down her pen. As soon as she walked out, she heard Chase asking in a low voice, "Gabriel and Bianca have lost contact. Do you know where they went?"
Isabella froze.
Gabriel and Bianca were missing?
She came to her senses and shook her head. "I don't know."
Seeing her deny it so quickly, Chase frowned. "How can you not know?"
Isabella looked indifferent. "My eyes aren't attached to Gabriel and Bianca. How would I know where they went? If you just came to ask this, then you already have your answer. I need to go back and finish my test. Goodbye."
She walked around him to go back to the classroom. Chase moved to the side, blocking her way.
His eyes were full of dissatisfaction, his tone questioning. "Gabriel is your fourth brother! He's missing, and this is your attitude?"
"Fourth brother?" Isabella acted like she heard a joke, pulling her lips into a mocking smile. "Didn't you all agree not to recognize me as your sister? Why are you now calling him my fourth brother?"
Chase was stumped by her retort.
He couldn't help but explain, "Gabriel and Bianca have been missing for twenty-four hours. You're also at school. If you know anything, tell me."
"I told you, I don't know anything." Isabella said coldly.
Although she was also at school, the regular classes and international classes had no connection at all. How would she know about Gabriel and Bianca's affairs?
Isabella turned to leave.
Gabriel looked at her back, his face darkening. "Even if Gabriel died, you wouldn't care at all, would you?"
"Yes."
Isabella's voice was incredibly indifferent.
Chase was furious and couldn't help but roar, "What kind of sister wouldn't care after finding out her brother is missing? What do we brothers mean to you?"
Isabella had her back to Chase. Just from hearing that angry voice, she could imagine Chase's gloomy face.
She paused for a moment, very calmly. "Nothing."
Chase: "..."
Seeing Isabella return, Violet leaned over. "Was that your oldest brother outside?"
"That's Chase." Isabella said. "To be precise, he's Bianca's oldest brother."
"What did he want? He looked really upset."
"Gabriel and Bianca are missing. He came to ask me about their whereabouts."
"What? They're missing?"
"Yes, but I don't know the details either."
"..."
The test lasted an hour. After it ended, the math teacher collected the papers and left the classroom.
Isabella and Violet went to the cafeteria together. Violet got a takeout box.
Aurora wasn't feeling well today and had taken leave from class.
"You go back to the classroom first. I'll take this to her."
Isabella took the lunch box from Violet and went back to the girls' dormitory.
She knocked on the door of 602. No one answered.
Isabella had to take out her key and unlock the door.
The door opened. Isabella's eyes swept around the dorm room.
No sign of Aurora.
She called Aurora. No one answered.
Isabella put down the lunch box and sent a message to their group of four.
[Where did Aurora go? Did you see her?]
Both Scarlett and Violet answered "no."
