Chapter 128 Don't Touch My Sister!
Andrew spun around abruptly.
"Jagger Anderson?"
Although Jagger was two years younger than Andrew, he stood at 190cm tall, even taller than Andrew. His body was imposing from years of working out. On the left side of his face was a prominent knife scar, about 10cm long, as if he'd once been injured by a sharp weapon.
Jagger walked in and glanced at Andrew with contempt. He said to Maddox: "Grandpa, leave that person from The Obsidian Circle to me."
Maddox stopped rubbing his ring and looked at Jagger.
"Alright, make sure you bring back that daughter from the Taylor family as soon as possible."
"Grandpa..."
Andrew wanted to say something more, but Maddox cut him off. "Andrew! You're too indecisive and worry too much. We Andersons have always used iron-fisted methods. How can you accomplish anything being so cautious?"
Andrew knelt on the ground, clenching his fists.
Maddox looked away from him. "Xanthe, help Grandpa back to rest."
"Okay, Grandpa."
Watching Maddox's figure leave, Andrew kindly reminded Jagger, "I'd advise you to be careful when catching that girl. She's no pushover."
"Do I need you to tell me how to do things?" Jagger sneered, cracking his fists that were as big as bowls. "She's just a girl. I'll be gentle with her, hahaha."
——
"Gabriel, have you noticed anything strange lately?"
Friday after school, the gates of Stellar High School stood open as groups of students streamed out.
Bianca walked behind Gabriel with her backpack. For some reason, she'd been feeling uneasy lately, like someone was watching her.
"No." Gabriel shook his head and looked at Bianca with confusion. "What's wrong? Is there a problem, Bianca?"
Bianca glanced behind her. Apart from clusters of student faces, she didn't see anyone suspicious.
She pressed her lips together. "It's nothing, Gabriel. I'm probably just overthinking."
Gabriel and Bianca walked to the school gate and soon spotted the car sent to pick them up. They got in one after the other.
From Stellar High School to the Taylor Villa in the wealthy district, the route passed through a winding mountain road.
The black Mercedes drove slowly along the mountain road.
Suddenly, accompanied by something cutting through the air, a bullet rapidly pierced the windshield and hit the driver's body.
The steering wheel instantly went out of control.
"Kai!"
Gabriel lost his balance, his head slamming hard against the window.
The car tires screeched against the ground, and then the black sedan crashed straight into the mountainside.
Debris flew everywhere.
Gabriel felt dizzy and disoriented.
"Gabriel!" Bianca was terrified by the sudden incident. She reached out and shook Gabriel's body. "Gabriel, what's wrong? Are you okay?"
Gabriel finally came to his senses. He looked sharply toward the driver's seat. "Kai, are you alright?"
"Kai!"
Kai had been hit in the right arm. Before becoming the Taylor family's driver, he'd been a veteran.
That was why, despite being hit and losing control, the car hadn't flipped or crashed through the outer barrier and fallen off the cliff.
Blood seeped from Kai's injured arm. He said through gritted teeth: "Mr. Taylor, Ms. Taylor, run now! Get as far away as you can! Those people are after you."
Gabriel's face changed dramatically. Without time to think, he opened the car door and climbed out, then pulled Bianca out.
Bianca's face had gone pale with fear, her whole body trembling.
Gabriel bit his lip. His tension and panic were no less than Bianca's. This was his first time encountering something like this—the attackers had guns and had nearly killed their driver...
"Gabriel, that's..." Bianca looked at the three people coming down from a small slope in the distance, her eyes trembling.
The men were tall and burly, wearing black leather jackets, black gloves, and black masks.
Most importantly, they were walking toward them.
"Run!"
Gabriel grabbed Bianca and ran into the woods.
Jagger watched the two figures running away and narrowed his eyes.
After following the Taylor family for a week, he'd finally found an opportunity to strike today.
The Taylor family's daughter, huh?
Honestly, through his observations during this time, he really couldn't tell that this Bianca was from The Obsidian Circle.
The captain of The Obsidian Circle was actually just this girl? How interesting.
Jagger waved his hand and ordered:
"Chase them!"
"We need her alive!"
"Gabriel, who are those people? Why are they chasing us?" Bianca was crying from fear.
Gabriel was also breaking down. He pulled out his phone to call the police, only to find there was no signal at all.
It seemed the attackers had deliberately chosen this location for the ambush. They'd come prepared.
Gabriel pulled Bianca through the woods for a long time, but the footsteps behind them grew closer and closer.
Gabriel's back was suddenly kicked hard, and he fell forward onto the ground.
Bianca fell too.
Gabriel gasped for breath as he got up from the ground, finally getting a clear look at the people surrounding them.
Black masks covered most of their faces, but their eyes were exceptionally sharp, filled with killing intent.
Clearly trained killers.
"What do you want?" Gabriel put Bianca behind him, watching the group warily.
Jagger walked up to Gabriel, crossed his arms, and laughed with contempt and arrogance. "This has nothing to do with you. What we want today is the girl behind you."
"Don't be scared. Our master just wants to invite her for a chat."
"A chat?" Gabriel frowned and asked Bianca, "Bianca, do you know them?"
Bianca shook her head. "I don't know them."
How could she possibly know these people?
"You didn't talk to my brother like this a while ago." Jagger's gaze fell on Bianca's frightened pale face, thinking that Andrew had told him to be careful of this girl.
What was there to be careful about?
"What... what?" Bianca had no idea what this man was talking about. "Who's your brother? I don't know your brother."
"Enough talk!"
Jagger reached out to grab Bianca.
"Don't touch my sister!"
Gabriel shouted angrily and swept his leg at Jagger.
Caught off guard, Jagger cried out in pain and fell to the ground.
Gabriel rushed over and grabbed Jagger by the collar, punching him in the face again and again.
The others quickly rushed forward.
Gabriel fought with several of them at once.
Gabriel had trained in combat and even won championships. Fighting three people alone, he could hold his own and barely keep them at bay.
But suddenly, a cold silver gleam appeared from nowhere and stabbed into his body in the chaos.
Bright red blood instantly stained his school uniform.
Gabriel's eyes widened.
