Chapter 128
“Isn’t the family going into seclusion?” Mr Wilson asked as he stared at the assistant not even hiding his astonishment.
“They are but does they going into seclusion mean that the work and the companies should be closed because of that?” the assistant said causing the man fall silent.
He fell in deep thoughts of he thought of what the collaboration will offer. The Walkers just looked at what they would be making in these six months but they never looked at what will happen after those six months.
He was very aware of how the public was and how they had be led by something. He was very sure that if the Singhs managed to go into seclusion for six months, after they get back, the public will back them even more. Maybe, the outfits that Martin would design will be most sort of and the orders will be flowing.
“I don’t mind providing the Singhs with the materials. However, I have a question, for the materials being transported to Country A, are we the ones responsible for that or you?” Mr Wilson asked after making a decision.
“The distance between your country and us is not too long. Still, its distance to Country A is much better than from America to Country A. I also believe that your family transports some materials outside the country, right?” the assistant asked and the man frowned as he thought that the assistant was just contradicting himself. Still, he clearly understood what he was trying to say.
“We can take care of their transportation,” Mr Wilson said as he thought that he might do a favor for the Singhs. Also, by taking care of the transportation, they would see how dedicated they were in the collaboration.
“Okay, here is the contract, please check whether they is any issue with it and tell me. If there is, we can immediately edit it,” the assistant said as he took out the contract that had been prepared by Martin beforehand.
Mr Wilson took the papers and started reading them. He saw that the collaboration period was ten years, he halted wanting to say something but in the end decided against it. They would talk more of the collaboration that time.
Every clause seemed to be in his favor and also not exploiting the Singhs. He sighed thinking that these was how powerful families were. Even if they were one of the wealthy families in the country, they were stills miles away from the Singhs.
He immediately signed the contract when he saw that Martin had already signed it and was afraid that they might change their minds anytime.
“A happy cooperation,” the assistant said as he shook the man’s hand.
“Happy cooperation too,” Mr Wilson said. “Can I treat you for dinner?”
The assistant shook his head and said, “We currently have a lot of work and won’t be able to. However, the next time I will be within the city, I will surely tell you.”
Mr Wilson escorted the man out of the company and watched his car leave.
“Why are you here?” a deep voice asked suddenly, causing him frown as he had not heard the latter approaching.
“Nothing, just escorting a partner out,” he said glancing at his son then walking into the country.
“Was that Martin Singh’s assistant?” the young man asked as he had seen the two walking together but he had thought that he was mistaken. Since he had encountered his father, why not ask him what was happening? Who was that man?
“Yes. We just secured a ten years partnership with the Singhs Clothing Line,” Mr Wilson said happily as he didn’t mind sharing the news with his son before telling the others.
The young master sneered when he heard that. “It has just been a day since Miss Shanaya Singh was laid to rest but people are already anxious. Won’t they regret after those people come out of seclusion six months later?” he asked coldly though he was pleased inside.
He had just heard that the Walkers had been denied loan by the Starling Bank. Having just paying a heavy termination fee thinking that they would get the money to secure their next collaboration. He was so happy as that family had been so shameless for a long time and it was the high time someone taught them a lesson.
Now, with his enemies angry while they secured such a good deal, how can he not be happy? With the Singhs added to the list, did they really need to worry about how they could surpass the mark given by the shareholder? Would those old men even dare to threaten them anymore?
“Now that the company’s crisis have been solved, you should concentrate on settling down. You can’t be an old bachelor. People are discussing about you,” Mr Wilson said with a gloomy face when he recalled the rumor circulating about his son.
“Dad, I haven’t met the destined one yet. When I do, everything will be okay. Please refrain your wife and yourself from making me go for those blind dates or even securing a marriage alliance cause I will ran away,” the young master said coldly. His eyes stared at his father coldly seeming to eager to see what the old man was upto.
Mr Wilson glared at him hatefully but inwardly he sighed in relief as he had thought of suggesting a marriage alliance with the Singhs. If he had then his unruly son to reject it, won’t he have lost face in front of the Singhs?
“What do you know, mmh? When I was your age, I had already gotten married and you were already born! Don’t tell me that you are planning on staying single for the rest of your life. Look at that Walker young man, he already has a beloved and are planning on getting married, do you want to be left behind?” he asked angrily but the young man seemed unfazed by his glares.
“Don’t compare me with him. Also, if you want a daughter-in-law like that woman, it is easy,” he answered, causing his man feel like would faint the next second.
Who wanted such a daughter-in-law who was scheming? Even despite of knowing that the young master was engaged, she still went forward, approaching him and even making the Walkers be dissatisfied with their future-in-law. Poor girl.
“As I said dad, you really don’t have to worry, I just haven’t met the destined one yet. I will soon,” the young man said after releasing a sigh when he saw his father’s angry face.
