Chapter 113

Chapter 113
Arthur stared at her, wondering what she was really up to.

“I have an eye on a certain mine in Country Z. If they help us get it, what about ten percent of what it will give us?” Scarlet asked as she stared at the man, not afraid of his cold stare.

“How do you know it will be a profit?” Arthur asked.

“The same way you trusted me with the oil mine, trust me on this, too,” Scarlet said in a serious tone. She didn’t look like the lady who had been joking with Shane, but looked like a businesswoman in front of a client.

“How much can it give us?” Arthur asked once more as he wanted to know what he was betting on to go and defeat Scarlet’s decision in front of the family.

“The ten percent? It can give you more than twenty billion. You aren’t taking out any cash, just taking it as selling these two people to us,” Scarlet said with a determined look.

In her previous life, that place was estimated to be three hundred billion. That was just the small hill that was that value; she had her eyes on that hill and the other one. However, she didn’t tell them all these as she wanted to take one for herself and her family.

Everyone was stunned. Cate felt dizzy. If she really brought something worth forty billion in front of the board, could they ever refute her when she suggests anything in the future? One had to know that their family was just billionaires who were worth two hundred billion. This forty billion worth jewel, if designed well they can take their family to another level.

Who in the family could cash out that kind of cash? But her sister-in-law was here speaking as if it wasn’t a big deal.

“Forty billion cash or jewels worth twenty billion?” Shane asked, as he will also be held accountable for her actions.

"Gemstones are worth twenty billion. If they make jewels, then their value would increase. I know that this is little money to you two, but to us,” Scarlet said with a frown. “Anyways, if they make jewels, they can give a hundred billion. That money can be used in the oil mine, so those elders won’t dare say we are using the family’s money.”

Arthur pursed his lips as he knew that Scarlet had thought of everything carefully. These were just ten percent? A hundred percent was worth more than two hundred billion?

“You have a hundred percent?” he asked Sophia as he knew that with everything Scarlet was doing, her aunt was behind her, or Scarlet was doing everything for Sophia. He felt envious of their relationship.

Sophia was stunned that the question was directed to her, but she immediately shook her head. “Naah, we will be working with Cate’s family as they live there. They will take twenty percent.”

Arthur glanced at Cate and nodded his head. He had a feeling that they had gotten that much because she was Scarlet’s sister-in-law. He also understood that the siblings wanted to leave a way for themselves cause of how the elders were behaving. He didn’t blame them; instead, he wanted to join them and make more money for his small family. “Can I do my own investment with it and get a ten percent return for myself?”

Scarlet was stunned and stared at him.

“Actually, there are two hills there. Scar, which one are you interested in?” Cate asked, causing Scarlet glare at her coldly, startling Cate and Shane chuckle as he immediately knew that the little girl knew that and wanted to leave one for herself.

“All,” she said coldly.

“Then why don’t we all invest in the large one, then the small one, so the two families can take part in it?” Arthur asked, and Scarlet stared at him coldly.

“Are we interested in your oil mines?” she asked coldly. It was already a good thing wanting to share ten percent with them, but now he wanted more? Did he take her for a fool?

Arthur felt embarrassed. “Please don’t misunderstand me. I want to leave something for myself and my kids, who know what industry they will choose in the future.”

“That’s impossible. The large one belongs to my brothers, aunt, and me. You can take ten percent of the other,” Scarlet said, compromising.

Arthur stared at Shane with pleading eyes.

“If the others found of it, they will want to collaborate also, who can we choose and deny who?” Shane asked as he looked at Arthur helplessly.

Scarlet stared at the two men and felt silent. The large mountain was thrice the hill’s size, so its price will also be thrice. In her past life, the hill was bought for two hundred million, so the mountain can surely cost at most six hundred million. There were sixteen cousins, adding Sophia and Cate, that would be seventeen. If she were to add them, there is no way she was going to leave her friends out. The total would be twenty-two people. She pursed her lips, frowning from time to time as she did her own calculations. Though it might bring trouble in the future with her future sisters-in-law, every time she invested in an industry they were in, they would receive shares. Also, this was an investment.

The other had also noticed that she seemed to be contemplating something and stared at her deeply.

“Since you want to invest, we can’t leave you behind. Let them all invest, and you all receive the same shares. The mountain, as for the hill, don’t think of it. Ten percent goes to the Singhs, twenty to Cate’s family, and the rest to us,” Scarlet said after analyzing everything.

“Is that okay with you?” Scarlet asked Arthur. “Don’t worry, the mountain is thrice the hill’s size.”

Arthur was stunned, then embarrassed when he thought that Scarlet viewed him as greedy. However, it was okay.

“However, let me tell you these. Cousins, friends, and Cate will get the same shares. I will always carry my friends to earn money with me,” Scarlet said with a boastful smile on her face. “As for my brothers, they will get the same, aunt and I different.”

Cate was shocked when she heard that she was included. She was touched that she almost cried, but she soon shook her head.

“Scar, don’t include me. If you do, our cousins-in-law might want to be added, bringing trouble. It is enough with our husband having shares in it,” Cate said, making everyone look at her.

Scarlet stared at her and smiled, loving this sister-in-law even more. She cared about the family peace. Her mother was correct in choosing her to be the eldest sister-in-law who will manage their family.

“Okay,” Scarlet said. “But with these, how am I supposed to calculate now?” She frowned as she wondered how Cate’s shares would be divided.

“You can divide it among your siblings,” Arthur stated, and Scarlet stared at him, then shook her head.

“Initially, I had planned to give you all two percent, but from math to math, you guys can receive two point five. Don’t worry about my brothers, they will understand,” Scarlet said in a serious tone, but she smirked inwardly.

Arthur calculated the money he might earn and didn’t think there was any problem, even if it was two percent, as the profit was so big.

“How much are we contributing?” he asked, turning his attention to Scarlet, who turned to Cate, as she knew that if she spoke, her brother would be more suspicious of her.

“The mountain’s market price is half a billion cause they all believe that it has no value,” Cate said.

Scarlet smiled. It seemed that the price she had calculated was more than she had thought.

“Two point five, that means that each of us should contribute twelve point five million.” Arthur did the calculations, and Scarlet nodded in approval, but it seemed that she was approving of Arthur as a person.

He pinched his nose, wondering what he was thinking. Why would his baby cousin need to approve of him?

Shane stared at his sister, but the latter pretended not to see his gaze.

“We will talk more about that. We don’t have time. Since Arthur has agreed, Scar, should the people quickly then we go,” Sophia said when she saw their behavior.

Scarlet nodded and hurriedly walked away, as she didn’t want to be anywhere close to Shane.

“What did she do?” Arthur asked Shane when he saw how fast Scarlet had left, as if she didn’t want to be there.

“You stress over her? If you do, my brother, you might die young,” Shane retorted.

“Who is the elder between the two of us?” Arthur asked Shane, who glanced at him, then ignored him.

After a few minutes, Scarlet came back with two people behind her. Those were the people in charge of the school. They had been following them closely as they wrote the names of people they chosen. “I have chosen and added their names to the list. We can move forward.”

They all left the building.

“Has he spoken?” Scarlet asked Arthur when she recalled why he had been left behind.

“He has revealed a few things,” Arthur said, and Scarlet shook her head, not pleased hearing the answer.

“Use all ways possible. I want everything before we meet that man. Can’t let him find out more than us,” Scarlet said, seeming competitive. Arthur was speechless as he wondered whether she needed to be competitive even with such a thing.

“What do you plan to ask him?” Shane asked, suddenly his eyes falling on Scarlet, then turned to look forward.

The others frowned as they didn’t understand what he meant, but Scarlet understood him clearly; he was asking about Mr William.
