Chapter 95: Talking Too Much Affects the Mood
When the car stopped, Atlas jumped right out and looked at me, saying, "Sit tight, I'll be back soon."
I nodded and sat quietly in the car, waiting.
Before long, Atlas came back with a set of clothes and gestured for me to change in the car.
I took off the heavy wedding dress and changed into a dress, finally feeling like myself again.
After all that was done, Atlas and Tristan got in the car. He tilted his head to look at my face and said with dissatisfaction, "You're obviously beautiful, so why did they do such a terrible makeup job? Helena, don't worry, when we get married, I definitely won't let the makeup artist torture you like this."
"Atlas!"
Seeing my flustered reaction, Atlas burst into laughter.
"Alright, hold on. I've already had someone come to remove your makeup."
Soon after, several people came out of the mall and quickly helped me remove my makeup.
Atlas had been smoking with Tristan in front of the car, but when he saw I was done, he quickly put out his cigarette.
He looked at me with a smile, his attractive eyes full of amusement. "This is the Helena I know."
"Alright, Atlas, hurry up and get in the car so we can go."
Tristan in the car, watching his mushy behavior, couldn't help but urge him on.
"Coming, coming!"
Atlas responded while pulling me by the hand back into the car.
"Hold on tight, we're going to the hotel now for a proper meal."
After arriving at the hotel, Atlas had them serve the food right away. Smelling the delicious aroma, my appetite was immediately aroused. I had just taken a couple bites when my phone rang. I looked and saw it was Maria calling.
"Mom."
Maria's anxious voice came through the phone. "Helena, where are you?"
"Mom, don't worry, I'm having dinner with friends. I'll be back soon."
"Friends? What friends? Quincy is with me. Where are you?"
"Mrs. Lockwood, let me talk to her."
Quincy's voice came through the phone.
"Helena, where are you? I'll come find you."
I hesitated briefly, glanced at Atlas, then told her the hotel's name. After hearing it, Quincy said directly, "Wait for me, I'll be right there."
The phone was quickly passed back to Maria.
"Mom, don't worry. Quincy will come find me soon. After we finish eating, I'll go back with her. You should go home first."
After hearing my words, Maria nodded right away. "Okay, I'll wait for you. Don't be too long."
"Mom, don't worry."
After hearing my words, Maria finally hung up feeling reassured.
Atlas asked, "Your friend is coming?"
I nodded. "Yes, it's that Quincy you met last time. She's my good friend."
"Good, then I'll order more dishes."
After Atlas told the server, he sat down next to me again.
Without warning, he picked up a napkin and gently dabbed the corner of my mouth, saying, "You have something there."
Seeing Tristan's teasing look across from us, my face instantly turned red.
I quickly took the napkin. "I can do it myself."
Tristan, across from us, clicked his tongue twice. "So sweet it's making this bachelor feel envious."
Atlas heard his words and sneered. "Then find someone yourself."
Then he looked at me affectionately and said, "My Helena is hard-won. I'm willing to do anything for her."
"Stop it." I pushed him, my face red.
Seeing me say this, Atlas burst out laughing. "Alright, I'll stop."
Just then, Quincy burst in energetically.
As soon as she came in and saw Atlas, her eyes widened. "So you're the one who took Helena away!"
"No, Quincy, don't misunderstand."
I was about to explain when I saw Quincy burst out laughing.
"Well done!"
Quincy clapped her hands, laughing. "Exhilarating! Today's events were absolutely exhilarating! This was the most exciting wedding I've ever attended. You didn't see the Pemberton family's faces - they were hilarious!"
Quincy sat down on a chair and called to the server, "Wine? Do you have wine? Today is a day of sweet revenge. I need a drink."
Knowing Quincy's alcohol tolerance, I quickly tried to stop her. "Don't drink, you can't hold your liquor. Why drink?"
"Don't try to stop me!"
Quincy reached out to block me. "I'm happy today, happy for you. No matter what, I have to have a drink!"
"Server, bring me wine quickly!"
Under Quincy's repeated urging, the server quickly brought a glass and handed it to her.
Quincy stood up and poured herself a full glass of red wine. "You all have to drink this with me."
Seeing her determined look, I quickly tried to persuade her. "One glass and you'll be drunk. Better not."
"I'm happy today. No, I must drink this wine!"
Then Tristan stood up with a smile. "Then I'll join you."
"See, someone understands how I feel. I'm telling you, I'm happy today, happy for Helena, so I must drink this."
"In that case, I'll have one too."
After Quincy finished speaking, Atlas also stood up.
Seeing them both stand, I helplessly stood up too. "Alright, everyone drink less, especially you, Quincy. You know your own tolerance."
"I know, just this one glass. I won't drink more."
Quincy clinked glasses with them, then plopped down, smiling. "You left early; you didn't see the exciting scenes afterward. Let me tell you, the Pemberton family really lost face this time."
"So many guests watched Knox and Natasha's sex video with their own eyes. The scene was total chaos."
"After Knox and Xavier were taken away by the police, then Arabella and Willow started cursing at each other in front of all those people."
"Arabella really didn't hold back. She directly said Natasha seduced Knox, said Natasha would even seduce her cousin's fiancé!"
Quincy glanced at me as she spoke, and seeing I had no reaction, continued with a smile, "That made Willow so angry on the spot, she wanted to fight Arabella."
"The people there couldn't hold them back. Relatives from both sides joined in. It was such a mess."
"Later, the hotel staff said they'd call the police, and that's when the drama finally stopped."
"What about Natasha?"
At this point, I couldn't help but ask.
Quincy shook her head. "Of course, Willow took her home. But later, Arabella grabbed your mother and wouldn't let her leave. I protected her and left the hotel."
I frowned and quickly asked, "What did my mother say?"
"She naturally didn't take Arabella's words seriously."
Quincy continued, "Your father went to take your grandmother to the hospital. I accompanied your mother out of the hotel and called you."
After Quincy finished, she shook her head. "This time, we really got our revenge. The Pemberton family made such a fool of themselves; their company is definitely done for."
"Forget about them, talking too much about them ruins our mood!"
Quincy raised her glass and took another big gulp.
