Chapter 25 Viewing Orders
After hearing his words, my face instantly flushed. That damn Atlas, what kind of nonsense was he talking about!
I quickly looked around - thankfully there was no one nearby.
"Atlas, stay away from me!"
I pushed him away forcefully and walked quickly toward the company.
Atlas's voice came from behind me. "You still haven't told me which department you're in."
I covered my ears tightly and rushed into the company building.
When I got to the sales department, most of my colleagues had already arrived.
Seeing me arrive, the sales department manager Lyndon Myles hurried over to greet me.
"Ms. Lockwood."
"Helena, just call me Helena from now on."
Seeing how serious I was, Lyndon quickly said. "Okay, Helena. Since it's your first day at work, let me introduce you to the team."
I wasn't happy with his overly flattering attitude, but Lyndon was a company veteran who knew my background, so I had to put up with it.
Following him to the work area, after meeting everyone, Lyndon assigned me to Sales Division Two.
"Ms. Lockwood, I've heard so much about you. It's an honor to be partners now."
My partner was a young guy named York Jackson. When York smiled, he showed a row of perfectly white teeth, looking very cheerful.
"Hello, please guide me going forward."
I extended my hand.
York scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Ms. Lockwood, you're too kind."
I nodded. "Alright, show me around the workshop."
"Sure."
Hearing my words, York quickly stood up and led me into the workshop.
The Lockwood Group started in new energy, and as the business grew, added many projects, including car production and manufacturing.
I followed York through the workshop, the roar of machinery filling my ears. We soon walked through several nearby workshops.
"Ms. Lockwood, what we just saw is part of the company's production workshop. There's also parts manufacturing and other fiber industry production."
Hearing York's words, I asked thoughtfully. "What about sales orders?"
"Very good. See how the machines don't stop? That means we have orders."
This made it hard to determine which order had the problem in my past life.
I'd have to search slowly.
But at least I wasn't in a hurry. Since I knew about this in advance in this life, if I investigated carefully, there would be clues.
"Who handles the company's orders?"
York thought for a moment. "Each department handles different things. For example, our department handles machinery and equipment sales. Other sales departments only handle their own business. As for the actual orders, they're all with Mr. Myles."
His words gave me an idea. If I wanted to know which order had the problem, I could start by looking at the business orders.
"Let's go back."
After returning, I went straight to Lyndon's office.
Hearing that I wanted to see the orders, Lyndon didn't dare delay and quickly pulled them all up.
I carefully reviewed them one by one and found two orders over ten million dollars this month.
One was for car sales, and one for new energy equipment.
"Mr. Myles, these two orders?"
Seeing me ask, Lyndon put on his glasses and leaned over, looking carefully. "The orders are fine. The clients are our regular customers, and the contracts were signed by our veteran employees. Do you see a problem?"
"Not really."
I smiled and shook my head. "Just curious seeing such large orders."
"Well, I've taken up enough of your time. I'll head out now." I stood up to leave.
After leaving, I realized it was almost noon, so I headed to Henry's office.
"If it isn't Ms. Lockwood! How was your first day?"
Henry teased me with a smile.
"Really good! I visited the workshop and looked at the company's recent sales orders. I was surprised to see two orders over ten million dollars. Dad, you're amazing." I gave him a thumbs up.
Henry beamed with pride.
"That's amazing? Well, Helena will have to surpass me in the future."
"Naturally!"
I proudly held my head high. "But right now it's lunchtime, and we need to eat first."
"Yes, yes, let's dine first."
After lunch, I went back to Lyndon's office and checked all the orders from the first half of the year.
But aside from those two large orders, I didn't see anything unusual.
When I got off work and walked to my car, a figure suddenly appeared.
I looked closely - it was Atlas again, like a ghost that wouldn't leave.
I was annoyed. I looked around, and seeing no one nearby, said coldly. "Atlas, what are you doing!"
"I want to invite the beautiful you to dinner, of course. I hope Ms. Lockwood will accept my invitation."
He made a welcoming gesture.
"I'm not free!" I refused directly.
"I haven't seen the money for Top Horse yet."
Hearing this, I was speechless.
This was a perfect example of how accepting someone's favor made it hard to refuse them!
I smiled helplessly. "Mr. Lancaster, you said you were giving it to me. I didn't know Mr. Lancaster was so stingy and petty."
"That's not it."
Atlas said seriously. "I'll definitely give you the horse, but I wonder if Ms. Lockwood could accept a dinner invitation."
He infuriated me. If I didn't agree, who knows what Atlas would do.
I could only say irritably. "Fine, I'll eat. But I want good food."
As soon as I finished speaking, a smile appeared on Atlas's face, his handsome eyes sparkling. "Don't worry, I guarantee Ms. Lockwood will be satisfied with the place I chose."
After getting in the car, I realized Atlas had gotten his way with me again.
I sighed softly. Whatever, just this once. Next time I would definitely stay far away from Atlas.
We arrived at a restaurant with artificial mountains and flowing water - very peaceful.
After sitting down, Atlas handed me the menu. "Ms. Lockwood, order whatever you want. Don't be shy."
I'd been busy all afternoon and was starving. I certainly wasn't going to be polite with him.
I immediately ordered a whole table full of dishes. When the food arrived, I couldn't wait to start eating.
"Eat slowly."
Atlas watched me wolf down the food and said calmly. "The way you're eating, it's like the company doesn't feed you lunch."
