Chapter 33 Insufferable!

Chapter 33 Insufferable!
After opening the door, Mira met the Luna Queen’s gaze. She quickly bowed her head in greetings. “Good morning, Luna Mother,” she said cheerily.
“Morning, dear,” Luna Rebecca replied and stepped into the room. She glanced at the tray on the table. “Son, have you eaten your breakfast already?" she asked, heading to the bed.
“Good morning, Mom. I’m done eating breakfast, thanks to my wife she fed me,” Alpha Gideon responded with a smile.
“I’m leaving now, see you later, husband,” Mira said and put everything back on the tray and left the room quietly.
Outside the room, Luna Rosie took the tray from Mira and brought it to the kitchen. Afterward she joined Mira on the sofa.
“What took you so long inside the room?” Luna Rosie asked suspiciously.
“I’m feeding breakfast to your husband. He ate slowly because his injury was troubling him. What do you expect?” Mira rolled her eyes.
“What did you and my husband talk about? Tell me,” Luna Rosie asked.
Mira shrugged. “Nothing special. I only asked him about the war and why he was hurt in the battle. We talked about the rogue rebels and the outcome of the war. We won the war! No more death and conflict! Peace shall reign supreme in the land from now on!” she gushed joyously.
Luna Rosie sneered. “Why are you happy? As if you were a shewolf like me. You don’t belong in our pack. Have you forgotten that you are a human being?”
Mira heaved a sigh. “Yeah. I may be human but I have worked here for a long time. I feel I already belong here,” she said sadly.
“No. You will never belong in our pack. You are human, an outsider. You are just a servant and you will stay that way forever,” Luna Rosie hissed into her face.
Mira met her cruel gaze. “Shh, lower your voice. They might hear you. Aren’t you afraid they will know about the soul swap too soon?”
“I don’t care. I’m fed up of you. If you dare go against me I will shout to the world that you stole my body and my life,” Luna Rosie said, her eyes spitting fire.
Mira looked around the living room worriedly. Good thing no one heard them. “You are getting louder. Be discreet for your own good,” she warned and stood up, heading for the staircase.
Mira climbs the stairs. Luna Rosie was following behind her.
When they reach the room, Luna Rosie locks the door and faces Mira, sporting an annoyed expression on her face.
Mira sighed heavily. “Why are you mad again? What did I do this time that angered you?” she asked, confused.
“Because my husband treated me coldly and sent me out of the room. He didn't know I was his real wife and you are the impostor! I hate you for stealing my husband and my life!” Luna Rosie blurted angrily.
Here we go again!
Mira took a deep breath. “Don’t worry, I will confess to him soon that our souls have swapped. I’m just waiting for the perfect time. Don’t rush me.”
“No. I can no longer wait! You must confess to him tonight!” Luna Rosie insisted with a clenched fist ready to hit the maid who stole her life.
“Calm down, this serious matter cannot be rushed. If only your husband had not been injured, I could have told him the truth right after he arrived home. He is still recovering. Let's give his injury enough time to heal,” Mira said calmly.
“No! I want the truth out tonight!” Luna Rosie insisted, not listening to Mira anymore. She paced back and forth on the floor, looking agitated.
“Can you please stop pacing back and forth? You are making me dizzy.” Mira pouted, sitting on the bed.
Luna Rosie looked at Mira, eyes blazing with fury. “You have no idea how painful it is for me when my husband kicks me out of the room. Do you think I’m happy? No! I’m angry because you got to spend quality time with him, while me, the real wife, was kicked out of the room. That’s how terrible my situation is! You will never experience it because you are not in my shoes. It’s all because of you! I hate you!”
Mira breathed heavily. What can she do to make the grumpy woman calm down? She is always moody.
She couldn't think of an idea how to make her bad-tempered companion relax, so she just lay down on the bed and closed her eyes, hoping she would fall asleep fast.
She was trying to sleep for almost fifteen minutes.
But she can’t sleep because her stomach grumbles, she feels hungry. Damn, she forgot to have breakfast! She fed her husband but forgot to feed herself. And the baby in her tummy screams for food.
She got up from the bed and walked to the door. “I’m going to the kitchen to get some food. I forgot to eat breakfast,” she told her moody companion who was already standing beside the window, looking out at the horizon above.
“Me too,” Luna Rosie murmured.
“Why don’t you get some food in the kitchen?” Mira suggested. She is not in the mood to go downstairs to have breakfast in the dining room.
“OK, I will go to the kitchen and get our food,” Luna Rosie said calmly.
Why is she suddenly so calm? Mira raised a brow. “Are you okay now?”
Luna Rosie glared at her. “What do you think?”
Mira takes a deep breath. “Please go now and get breakfast. I promise you, I will reveal the truth to your husband one of these days. I will stay true to my word. You can count on me to do the right thing at the right time. Just that tonight is not the right time yet. I hope you understand."
Luna Rosie left the room without saying anything.
Mira understood very well why Luna Rosie was feeling anxious the whole time. The bitch is afraid that she will change her mind. But she will not change her mind anymore. She had decided to tell the truth to Alpha Gideon no matter what happened to her in the future.
She must face her calamities bravely.
She walked to the window and admired the flowers and plants in the garden. After staring at the red roses she saw something moving under the plants. Huh? What’s that? Something long and brownish.
Was that a snake? Her eyes widened in alarm.
What is a snake doing in the garden? How come the gardener didn’t see the snake?
Was it really a snake? Or maybe some naughty rodents playing hide and seek between the plants?
How will she know if she does not take a closer look? Never mind, she’s not in the mood for that.
She shakes her head and returns to the bed, looking at her right hand. She remembered so well how her husband liked the way she stroked his manhood.
She smiled. If her hand can make her husband happy, why deny him the happiness he craves?
A few minutes later, Luna Rosie returned to the room with food and put it on the table. “Here is your breakfast, my highness."
“Thanks, let’s eat,” Mira said.
The two women ate their meal in silence.
After they finished eating, Luna Rosie said, “The Luna Queen had told me to inform you that she would feed her son his lunch. So you don't need to come to his room at noon.”
“OK, thanks for informing me,” Mira replied, putting back the plates and utensils on the tray.
Luna Rosie picked up the tray and left the room.
Ten minutes later, Mira went to the bathroom. She took a long shower and enjoyed her bath, not rushing to finish it.
After bathing, she emerged from the bathroom door feeling relaxed and refreshed. To her great surprise her maternity dresses and undies were already scattered on the bed. Luna Rosie was putting more clothes on the bed.
Mira raised a brow. “W-what are you doing?”
“I will put all your clothes in the bag so that when you are ready to be transported to the bungalow house, you don’t have to pack anymore. You should thank me, I’m giving you a helping hand. These are my clothes. I’m giving them all to you free of charge,” Luna Rosie said casually.
“But why can’t you wait?” Mira’s face hardened in annoyance. “I’m not leaving yet. I haven't told your husband about the soul swap yet. Why are you so eager to kick me and your unborn child out of the room?” she protested.
“I’m not kicking you out of the room, I’m just putting your clothes in the bags,” Luna Rosie corrected her. She picked up two bags from the closet and put them on the floor. She folded the clothes and arranged them in the bags. “I don’t want to see your filthy clothes in my closet,” she added cruelly.
Stunned, Mira’s jaw clenched. She threw her hands in the air in frustration. “Whatever!”
Luna Rosie looked at her, smirking. “Honestly, you don't belong in my room. You belong in the servants' quarters!"
Mira shrugged. She kept her mouth shut and ignored the badly-tempered woman. She went to the dressing table and brushed her hair. She let the bitch finish her packing. The woman is getting more and more insufferable. She was dying to leave the room anyway, far away from the lioness.
A few days from now, she will be free from Luna Rosie’s cruelty.
She stared at her beautiful face in the mirror and took deep breaths, calming herself. Instead of allowing the bitch to destroy her good mood, she would rather focus on how to make her husband happy tonight. She looked at her right hand, a tool that could make her husband happy. Her mouth curled into a smile.
From now on, she will focus on his happiness.
