Chapter 111 THE END!
~One Year Later~
It was 4:00 in the afternoon. Mira had just finished having an important meeting with Ruth and Luna Sherry of the Eclipse Pack. She left headquarters, riding her bike on her way to her favorite place for a weekend getaway.
Her plan was always the same, swimming in the lake, cooking barbecues on the grill, watching endless movies on TV and riding her bike to see the breathtaking scenery of the countryside.
When she arrived at the wooden house, she was shocked to see a white van parked in the driveway.
She has a visitor! Who are they?
She’s not expecting any visitors today. She heard a child squealing at the back of the house.
She raised a brow. Who bought a child in her private oasis without her permission?
She parked beside the van and got off the bike. She quickly went to the back of the house where the recently built swimming pool was located.
And what she saw there in the water made her heart scream in delight. "OH MY GOD! Baby Gilbert. You’re finally here!” she gushed, rushing to the pool.
Alpha Gideon picked up his son out of the water and put him on the ground. “Go and say hello to your Aunt Amira,” he said cheerily, amused by the expression of surprise on Mira’s face.
Chubby Gilbert ran to his aunt and said, “Hello Aunt! Nice meeting you,” he said, smiling brightly. “How are you?”
“I’m fine,” Mira replied, giggling as she lifted him into her arms. "Whoa, why are you so heavy? What is your favorite food to eat?” she asked, kissing his chubby cheeks.
“I love crispy fried chicken and meatballs!” Gilbert raved enthusiastically, then he said, “Put me down, Aunt. I want to continue swimming in the water,” he demanded.
“Okie Dokie!" Mira laughed in amusement. She put him down. He ran back to the shallow part of the swimming pool where he could swim safely.
Then Mira looked at her beloved. “Why didn't you tell me you would come today?” she asked.
He smiled. “We always do video chats the whole year round, you, me and my son. He already knew you as his aunt. Then one day he said he wanted to swim in your lake. So here we are, because we want to surprise you. Are you surprised?" he asked, winking at her, loving her every minute and every second.
“I’m surprised of course. I’m very happy!” she replied in elation, her eyes glowing, love overflowing from her heart for him.
They sat on the wooden chair, facing the pool, their eyes on Gilbert. He was busy playing with his dozens of toy boats of all sizes floating around him.
“How long will you stay here?” she asked, fearing the father and son would leave right away.
“We will stay here for one week if that is okay with you,” he said, studying her reaction.
“Wow!” Her eyes sparkled like diamonds. “Really? Sure? One week? Are you kidding me?” she asked in astonishment. Disbelief marred her pretty face. She hated getting disappointed each time, hoping this time he was telling the truth.
He chuckled. “That’s true. We’re going to stay here for one week if you give us permission to stay," he said in a serious tone.
“Yes of course! You can stay here at my place all year round,” she said merrily.
“Great! I would love to stay here with you all year round,” he said, sporting a serious expression on his face.
She looked at him and challenged him. "Prove me!"
“Sure!” He removed a small jewelry box from the pocket of his coat and showed it to her. “Will you marry me?” he asked, opening the box to reveal a beautiful high-grade diamond ring.
She gasped, surprised by the presence of a ring. She looked at him, her body shaking with excitement. Tears shone in her eyes. "Y-You really want to marry me?”
“Yes of course,” he responded in a serious tone.
“But you know very well that I don’t want to relocate to the capital and stay in the royal mansion again,” she said sadly.
“That’s not a problem. I already told my father that I wanted to resign as heir to the throne. I want to stay here and become your husband," he said sincerely, gazing into her eyes tenderly.
Her eyes widened in shock. “But you can’t do that. You can’t give up your position as the heir to the throne because of me!” She protested in a hard tone but deep inside she felt ecstatic because he was willing to sacrifice his personal ambition just to be with her.
“Why not? My father can choose an heir among my brothers. They are better candidates than I. Besides, my father has already agreed to my request. Now you can’t say no to me because I already gave up everything to be with you and live here in the Moon Star Pack as your husband. I will become your husband whether you like it or not,” he declared smugly because he knew he was winning.
Mira was speechless. She still can’t believe that her greatest wish in life is finally happening today.
Feeling overjoyed, she tears up. Her heart soared with joy.
“Will you marry me?” he asked again, putting the ring smoothly on her finger. “Wow, it fits your finger nicely,” he said, pleased with the result.
Mira stared at the dazzling ring on her finger and then at his face. “Yes, I will marry you!” she exclaimed in glee.
She happily accepted his proposal because it’s been her lifelong wish to marry him. She feels like she is walking on cloud 9 right now, deeply moved by his romantic marriage proposal.
No red roses, no romantic candlelit dinner needed. His proposal was sincere and beautiful, just the way she wanted it to be.
“Thank you for accepting my wedding proposal, babe. You won’t regret it,” he said joyously, enveloping her in a loving hug.
Their sweet embrace lasted for a few minutes.
Gilbert suddenly interrupted them. “Daddy, I’m so hungry. I want to eat fried chicken!” He demanded.
The couple erupted in laughter, amused by his cute demands.
“I heard you little boy. It's now time to go to the kitchen and cook crispy fried chicken!” Mira said, laughing hard. She looked at the love of her life. “Go now and play with your son. I will get busy in the kitchen cooking fried chicken.”
He smiled and planted a kiss on her head. “I love you, babe.”
She giggled, her heart bursting with joy. “I love you more!"
Alpha Gideon joined his son in the pool, bonding with him.
Mira entered the wooden house and went straight to the kitchen to start cooking for the two most important people in her life. She is finally getting married and has an instant son. Fantastic!
Life is good.
She hoped it would continue this way forever and ever.

Two hours later.
Mira has finished cooking. She arranged the platter of crispy fried chicken, grilled chicken meat and shrimp, wild rice and a pitcher of cold orange juice on the table.
She went to the back of the house and announced merrily, "Guys, the fried chicken is ready!”
Alpha Gideon and his son got out of the water, changed into dry clothes and gathered around the table.
Gilbert’s eyes sparkled upon seeing his favorite crispy fried chicken. He grabbed one drumstick and began eating ravenously. “Yummy!” He exclaimed in delight.
Mira planted a kiss on Gilbert’s head. “It’s all yours, so eat slowly,” she said in amusement.
She met Alpha Gideon’s loving gaze. “Let’s eat,” she said merrily.
“Thank you for cooking us a delicious feast,” he said, putting food on his plate.
Mira grins happily. “My pleasure. I will cook delicious food every day for you and Gilbert. I will make you fat with my delicious cooking skills," she joked, erupting in a giggle.
He chuckled, grabbed crispy chicken wings and began eating.
After dinner, Mira and Alpha Gideon made a bonfire in front of the house, enjoying the evening breeze, admiring the dazzling starry sky and savoring the lovely company of each other.
At 8:00 in the evening, Gilbert fell asleep in his father’s arms. The couple settled him comfortably in the bedroom.
A few minutes later, the loved-up couple snuggled on the bed, whispering sweet nothings into each other's ears. Sometimes they would erupt in laughter, talk in whispers and then kiss each other’s lips passionately.
The couple slept peacefully that night, entangled in each other’s arms.

Five months later, Luna Amira and Alpha Gideon got married in a beautiful garden wedding ceremony, attended by the royal family, the couple's friends and the entire Moon Star Pack and allies.
Through the years, Mira managed to unite twelve more packs under one powerful group, the United States Of Moon Star Pack. All the packs under her excellent governance became wealthy and progressive territories. She teamed up with her husband's team to mine valuable minerals discovered all over the land. Under her rule, both parties became rich and powerful, the envy of many.
After Mira got pregnant with her third child, she stepped down from her position to concentrate on raising a big family. Alpha Gideon took over her position and became the Supreme Alpha of the Moon Star Pack with the full approval from their allies.
Alpha Gideon created a formidable military group consisting of six powerful units that is ready to protect and defend their huge empire from barbaric invaders.
Peace and prosperity reign throughout the land.
The couple's union was blessed with six healthy children.
They live to their ripe old age. Mira died peacefully at 89 years old while Alpha Gideon died at 90 years old surrounded by their children and grandchildren.
On the day Mira passed away, her pet snake also died.
The couple was buried side-by-side in the Moon Star Pack cemetery.
Their eldest son Alpha Gilbert became the ruler of the Moon Star Pack and continued his parents' outstanding legacy.

He picked up his newborn son and cradled him in his arms. “Welcome to the world my son. I will call you Sebastian. You will take over leadership of the pack after my retirement. Your name will become famous all over the land. Everyone will praise your name,” he declared proudly.
