Chapter 273: How About a Live Broadcast for You
Chase looked at Finn like he was looking at an idiot. "Victim? When you saw Bianca doing those things, was she benefiting or losing something? And even if someone set her up, if she had a clear conscience, none of this could have happened. She's not innocent!"
"Enough, I still don't believe it. I'm going to ask Aiden. Chase, you're definitely just taking it out on Bianca because of the music thing. If anyone's to blame, it's Emily for being cold-hearted and refusing to testify for you!"
Finn was raging helplessly.
He didn't even realize that if he really had a point, how could he possibly say such illogical things.
Seeing that Finn was being biased like he'd lost his mind, Chase couldn't be bothered to waste more words. "Then go find Aiden and have him admit you're right!"
Without further discussion, Chase kicked Finn out of the room.
Finn stood at the door in a daze for a while before reluctantly going downstairs. He sat on the living room sofa, playing with his phone for a bit before sending Aiden a message. Everything he said was defending Bianca and putting down Emily.
He repeated to Aiden all those arguments he'd made to Chase and the others.
Aiden was currently stressed out over the AI project's progress and had no time to deal with this stuff.
Seeing Finn acting like he'd gone crazy, he felt irritated.
He replied directly: [Brains are a good thing, too bad you don't have one. Good thing the family business won't end up in your hands. When you grow up, you'd better just collect your monthly allowance from the family!]
Finn didn't expect Aiden to be so blunt.
He was calling him stupid!
Aiden was just like Eli and Chase.
They were the ones being fooled by Emily, unable to tell right from wrong!
Finn had come home happy, but now he'd been hit with one cold splash of water after another. He was upset.
His mind worked quickly, and he immediately thought of a solution.
Finn went to his social circle and sent a message in the group chat with his close friends.
Finn: [Does anyone know where Emily is right now?]
He was into exciting extreme sports, which were popular among wealthy people in their circle, so he knew quite a few people.
Someone replied, confused: [What? Now that you know you misunderstood Emily, you want to win her back?]
Finn: [Win her back? She's so mean, she drove away the kindest and most gentle Bianca. Of course I need to settle the score with her. You guys, don't be fooled by her. Those things online were probably all set up by her. Don't be tricked!]
When the group saw Finn's comments, they gathered in small groups and couldn't help but snicker.
They might party and have fun, but they weren't all idiots. Most people came to one conclusion: Finn was a fool, and they should hang out with him less in the future.
Finn had no idea that after these comments, fewer and fewer people in the circle would want to hang out with him.
Byron was a big shot in the circle and naturally had quite a few followers who hung around him. Ever since Byron became Emily's follower, this group had also witnessed Emily's capabilities and treated her as their leader too.
Finn's comments immediately caught their attention.
They quickly took screenshots and sent them to Byron.
[Byron, this guy dares to slander Ms. Johnson. Should we teach him a lesson?!]
Byron saw the screenshots from his followers. He'd been eating dinner but suddenly stood up in anger.
Isaac glared at him. "If you're eating, then eat. Why are you suddenly standing up? No manners at all."
Byron immediately calmed down. He'd lost his appetite anyway, so he told Isaac, "Ms. Johnson is being bullied. I need to help her. I'm heading out."
Byron left as soon as he said he would. His mother was helpless and couldn't help glaring at Isaac. "Look at you, how are you raising our son? What kind of things are you teaching him?"
Isaac realized it was about Emily and immediately gave his full support. "You don't understand. Stay out of the kid's business. If you like beauty treatments, go get beauty treatments. Don't make trouble for nothing."
Byron's mother was furious.
She knew Isaac had other women outside, but unfortunately she was in a weak position. She had no career and could only depend on Isaac.
Sometimes, she even suspected Isaac was setting Byron up for failure, her only support.
But recently, Isaac had indeed been letting Byron get more involved with the company's business, clearly planning to let Byron take over.
Whatever, she couldn't figure it out. She'd ask Byron about it later.
Byron had no idea about this little drama between his parents after he left.
While heading out, he forwarded the screenshots his follower had sent to Sophia.
Sophia had almost forgotten about this character in the Johnson family. She knew very well that the Johnson family treated Bianca like a treasure and Emily like trash.
Sophia: [We absolutely need to teach him a lesson for daring to slander Ms. Johnson.]
Byron: [I was thinking the same thing. I'll find a way to lure him out, then we...]
Sophia immediately understood what Byron meant and agreed wholeheartedly.
Of course, she felt they couldn't hide this from Emily.
What if Emily actually felt differently about this Finn? Finn had never shown his face before, so there was no guarantee Emily didn't have some feelings for him and might be tricked or deceived.
So Sophia called Emily first.
Emily hadn't been in touch with Sophia and the others for a while.
Generally, if there was nothing important, Sophia wouldn't disturb her.
Emily answered the phone. "What's up?"
"Emily, what's your relationship with Finn like?"
Sophia tested the waters carefully first, then would decide whether to badmouth Finn and how much.
Hearing Finn's name again, Emily felt like it was from another lifetime.
She'd actually kind of automatically forgotten about Finn.
As for why Finn hadn't shown up these days, Emily, with her memories from her past life, actually knew a bit. In her past life, he'd only gotten into this closed training session because Emily had helped him improve his skills enough to be selected for the national team.
Now she seemed to feel no strong emotions about it. She said flatly, "We're not close."
Sophia got it immediately.
It meant Emily had treated them wholeheartedly, but they had thoughtlessly accepted it and then turned around to bully Emily.
After understanding the situation, Sophia told her about Finn asking around the circle for her whereabouts while also badmouthing her.
Sophia said, "Emily, if he dares to slander you, he needs to pay the price. I can't stand seeing you wronged like this, so later we're planning to lure him out and teach him a good lesson to get revenge for you. How about we live stream it for you?"
Emily didn't expect Sophia to have such an idea.
She thought about the scene of Finn being dealt with by Sophia and Byron, and strangely, she actually felt kind of satisfied.
Emily suddenly really wanted to watch.
She replied, "Sure, but remember to be careful when you're dealing with him. Don't kill anyone!"
This reminder was basically encouragement.
Sophia beamed with joy. "Don't worry Emily, we'll definitely be careful."
She hung up and immediately contacted Byron.
Byron got the green light and added Finn on WhatsApp with the note: Add me, I know where Emily is.
Sure enough, Finn accepted almost instantly.
