Chapter 247: Given Three Days to Consider
The Smith Villa.
Zoey came again.
Veda still thought Zoey was too kind.
"Grandpa is sick, and look, in the end, you're the one who came to see him. Emily keeps saying she loves Daniel, but Daniel is busy and has no time to visit Grandpa - fine, whatever. But Emily, that useless waste, has all the time in the world, yet she hasn't come to take care of Grandpa either."
Veda couldn't help complaining about Emily.

Zoey smiled, "Maybe Daniel just didn't tell Emily. Daniel probably feels bad for her and is afraid she'll get tired.
I basically grew up under Mr. Smith's watch too. As a younger generation, knowing about Mr. Smith's condition, naturally I should come visit."
She replied, "This proves what? It proves Daniel isn't really planning to marry Emily, that's why he didn't tell her. Anyway, I'm convinced you're Daniel's true wife. I'll talk to Grandpa later and have him praise you more to Daniel. Daniel will definitely see how wonderful you are and realize you're the most suitable person for him!"

Veda just took it as her being bashful.
She even thought to herself that even someone as outstanding and gracious as Zoey would show such a shy expression because she liked Daniel.
Zoey didn't come today just to hear Veda's useless compliments.
She found an excuse and said to Veda, "Veda, didn't you say last time you got some jewelry at an auction and wanted to show me? Since I'm here today, why don't you go get it? Veda didn't think much of it and nodded, "Then I'll go find it right away. You go quickly and tell Grandpa this good news."
She didn't even notice the look Zach gave when Zoey said she was going to see Mason.
Mason knew that when Zoey came, she would definitely find a chance to see him alone.
Sure enough, Veda was useless - Zoey just said a few words and she actually let Zoey go to his room alone.
As Zoey entered, she said to Zach, "Zach, please close the door. I have something important to tell Mr. Smith."
Zach naturally wasn't comfortable with this and looked at Mason.
Mason knew that even if Zoey wanted to harm him, she probably wouldn't do it in front of Zach, especially since Veda was still home.
He nodded at Zach, "You can go out first."
Now only Zoey and Mason were left in the room.
"Zoey, I think I've treated you well. Doing this to me - doesn't your conscience hurt at all?"
Mason looked at Zoey with undisguised disappointment.
Zoey's expression didn't change. Looking at Mason with a smile, she said, "Mr. Smith, there's no point in saying these things anymore.
You know very well that Daniel and I grew up together, and I've always believed I would marry Daniel. But Daniel actually got together with Emily and won't marry me. I had no choice but to take this approach!"
Mason sighed softly, "Matters of the heart can't be forced. I can't control Daniel's heart either. I can only say you two weren't meant to be. Even so, given your childhood connection, if you become like a sister to Daniel and find a good match later, no one will dare look down on you."
Zoey couldn't listen to any of this. Her face darkened, "I don't want to hear this. Besides, Mr. Smith, how come after meeting Emily, you stopped opposing them? To be honest, you never really saw me as a younger generation you watched grow up. Naturally, I have to plan for myself."
She changed her expression quickly, immediately breaking into a smile, "I came today to tell you good news. For your condition, I've already found a good doctor. As long as you agree to my engagement with Daniel and announce it publicly, I'll immediately bring the person to treat you."
Mason knew this wasn't really about her getting a doctor for him.

"Mr. Smith, time waits for no one. Since they're a famous doctor, they don't have much time to wait for you to think it over. Three days - I'm only giving you three days to decide."
Zoey issued her ultimatum.
Mason lowered his eyes, silent.
Zoey was about to say something more.
Footsteps were already coming from outside the door, sounding like Veda's.

"Zoey, are you done talking with Grandpa? Is he happy?"
Veda's tone was cheerful.

She smiled and went to open the door.
Veda was already at the doorway. When the door opened, she first smiled at Mason on the bed, "Grandpa, did Zoey tell you she found you the world's best doctor? Veda smiled mischievously, then hurriedly took Zoey's arm, "Zoey, let's go quickly!"
Zoey still "politely" said goodbye to Mason before leaving with Veda.
Since her business was done, Zoey didn't have much enthusiasm for looking at jewelry with Veda.

Before she could finish, she heard a car horn from downstairs.
