"How can anyone be such a jerk? I wanna see what this person looks like."

Rhett took the chance to shove his camera in the guard's face.
If the guard wanted to throw them out, Fallon started making a fuss.
With so many people watching online, it was hard to just throw them out.
The guard contacted the property manager for advice on how to handle the situation and also called Emily.
"Ms. Johnson, sorry to bother you, but your uncle and his mother are outside with banners, live streaming, and accusing you of being kept by a man and tricking your aunt into serving him too!"
The guard briefly explained the situation outside.
Emily's face darkened.
"Alright, I'll be there to handle it soon!"
After hanging up, she noticed Violette standing nearby, her eyes red and her body trembling.
Clearly, she had overheard the guard and was furious.
"Emily, you don't have to deal with this. I'll handle it. I'm sorry Violette caused you trouble."
Violette was deeply remorseful.
She shouldn't have listened to Emily and helped her, only to drag her into Rhett's mess.
As Violette spoke, her forehead veins bulged.
Emily feared Violette might rush out to confront Rhett.
Such a scumbag wasn't worth it.
Emily quickly held Violette back. "Violette, don't be impulsive! He's trash, not worth fighting over. And remember, Atticus just finished his exams and has a good chance of getting in. Don't let this affect his future."
Violette calmed down at the mention of Atticus.
"Wait here, I'll make a call to check the situation."
Emily's face was stern. Rhett dared to cause trouble again, meaning someone must be backing him.
She dialed Alfonso's number.
She asked how Rhett was dealt with last time and why he dared to cause trouble again.
Alfonso quickly made some calls.
He found out that Parker, who had a grudge against him, bailed Rhett out and took him away.
"Sorry, Ms. Johnson. I thought he was too scared to cause trouble again, so I didn't follow up. I didn't expect he somehow contacted Parker. Parker and I have some issues, so..."
Alfonso didn't need to finish; Emily got the message.
"I see. Send me Parker's number."
Emily hung up, and the number came through almost immediately.
She dialed Parker.
Parker hesitated but answered, "Hello, who's this?"
"Is this Parker? Did you bail Rhett out? I'd like to know why you bailed out someone like him. If you don't have a deep connection with him, I suggest you stay out of this. Now, tell me who put you up to this."
Emily was certain Rhett couldn't pull this off alone.
Someone who disliked her must have sent Rhett to stir trouble.
"Who are you to question me? How did you get my number? Trying to seduce me? You sound pretty good. If you're hot, I might consider."
Parker's sleazy tone revealed his low character.
Emily's eyes turned cold. "I didn't intend to make an enemy of you, but if you insist, don't blame me for being ruthless."
She hung up and called Knox.
"Is Parker one of your guys?"
Emily got straight to the point.
Knox could tell she was angry. "What's up? Did he mess with you? Just say the word, and I'll handle it."
"He did! I'm calling to ask you to check if Parker is your man. If he is, I'm giving you a heads-up. If he backs off and reveals the mastermind, I'll let it go. Otherwise, if I go too hard and hurt your people, don't blame me. I'm broke!"
Knox chuckled.
"You little money-grubber! You may be broke, but I have money! I'll give it to you, and you won't take it! Don't worry, whether he's my guy or not, you deal with him as you see fit. I've got your back."
If Parker was his guy and dared to offend someone he cared about, he wouldn't be merciful.
Knox's eyes flashed coldly.
Then, he'd compensate Emily, and she wouldn't refuse his money, right?
