Chapter 105 Certain That She Is Kept by a Man
"You're right. Even I couldn't figure out where she's living. This is our best shot for now."
James thought for a moment and nodded.
Bianca's heart sank at his words. Could Emily really have hooked up with someone powerful?
Daniel's image flashed through her mind, but she quickly dismissed the idea. Emily was nothing special; no way Daniel would be into her. It had to be some older guy.
"James, why don't you head back? I'll follow her. Two of us might be too obvious."
Bianca wanted to find out who Emily was with and make sure James lost interest in her for good. This time, she was determined.
"Alright."
James hesitated and wanted to follow, but his phone rang—it was Kade. Kade had found out about the loss of five percent of Ascend Global Group's shares and was livid. James couldn't afford to delay and hurried back.
Bianca kept a safe distance while tailing Emily. Even so, she almost got spotted when Emily felt like someone was watching her. But when Emily looked around, she didn't see anything suspicious.
"What's wrong?" Violette asked, noticing Emily's sudden serious expression.
Emily shook her head. "It's nothing. I guess I'm just being paranoid. It's almost time for Atticus to finish his exam. Let's go pick him up."
"Sure!" Violette agreed happily, and they headed to the exam center.
Bianca sat in her car, watching from a distance as the two women arrived. She frowned, puzzled, until she saw Atticus come out. The three of them chatted and laughed as they got into the car.
Bianca followed them to the gate of a villa, suppressing her impatience. She saw Emily's car enter without any issues. When Bianca tried to follow, she was stopped by the security guard.
"Sorry, without an entry registration, you can't go in," the guard said politely.
Bianca put on a sweet, innocent face and said, "Sir, I'm with the car that just went in. Can you let me in too? I just forgot my phone and can't contact them. I'll only be a moment."
The guard remained firm. "Sorry, ma'am, we can't let anyone in without proper registration."
Bianca frowned. "Then why was that car allowed in?"
She knew the answer already—Emily must have been kept by a wealthy man who informed the property management. But she wanted confirmation.
"The owner of that car is a resident, so they can come and go freely. You can either go back and get your phone or wait outside," the guard explained.
Another resident's car approached, honking impatiently. Bianca was shocked. Emily, a resident? This villa was more prestigious than the one where the Johnson family lived. If a man was keeping Emily, it made sense, but she hadn't expected him to be so generous as to make her a property owner.
"Alright, sorry for the trouble. I'll leave now," Bianca said, masking her frustration.
After leaving, she immediately made a phone call. "Hey, Parker, I need a favor."
Bianca waited for Parker's information. Emily was cautious, but Violette lacked experience and awareness, so Parker quickly gathered intel by following Violette.
"Violette and her two kids are staying at Emily's place. I couldn't dig deeper into the villa, but after Rhett caused a scene there, I found out from some sources that Emily claims the villa is hers. So, the guard was telling the truth."
Bianca understood. The house was likely transferred to Emily by the man keeping her. His background was not simple, which explained why James couldn't find anything. If it weren't for her following Violette's lead, she wouldn't have found out either. It also meant that the million dollars Violette owed was indeed paid by Emily. There was no way Emily could have that kind of money on her own.
Bianca transferred money to Parker. "Thanks for your help. I've sent the payment. I need you to look into Rhett as well."
Parker, pleased with the prompt payment, agreed. Investigating Rhett was easier than investigating Emily. Soon, he had all the details.
Bianca was surprised by Emily's audacity. She had stood up to loan sharks, but Bianca didn't believe Emily had fought them off herself. She assumed Rhett's people were just scared and made up the story. However, she could use this image of Emily as a fierce woman to her advantage.
Bianca found Fallon and, after learning the situation, paid to get Rhett out. She had a private conversation with Rhett, the details of which remained unknown.
Unbeknownst to Emily, Rhett and Fallon showed up at the villa's entrance with a large banner, live-streaming their accusations against Violette for abandoning her family. They claimed Emily, living poorly, seduced men and encouraged Violette to divorce and live with two women serving one man. They even insinuated that Violette's underage daughter might be at risk.
The guard recognized Rhett and tried to eject them, but Fallon immediately caused a scene, lying on the ground and screaming, "Don't touch me! Last time, you took Emily's bribe and beat up Rhett. Many people saw you do it. There's no justice! Rich people always bully others. Emily's money isn't clean. She's young and only knows how to seduce men for money, ruining our family. Isn't she despicable?"
"Maybe you have a shady relationship with her too, which is why you're stopping us. God, look at this! Why does someone like her get to live in such a fancy villa?"
Fallon wailed, and Rhett, looking disheveled and red-eyed, pleaded, "Please, someone help me get my wife back and protect my children from being misled. I'm terrified my underage daughter might be harmed. How can this be happening?"
Curiosity always draws a crowd. The live stream, which started with a few viewers, quickly gained traction and hit the trending list, thanks in part to Bianca's efforts.
