Half alive
After Dragoni's menacing threat and Rody's gloomy exit, Nima was left alone in the dimly lit cell, struggling with her feelings of guilt and anger. It was her own actions that had led to this predicament, and she knew that her carelessness could have severe consequences, not just for herself but for her mother and Rody as well.
Nima kept thinking and thinking and she felt guilty.
Rody was right, after all, if her actions affect his happy family, he would never forgive her again.
"Oh no!" She sighed, her eyes covered in tears.
She spent a sleepless night, her mind racing with thoughts and questions. What had Dragoni meant by the mission? What is Fred hiding from her? Why is Dragoni scared of him? Does Rody know about this? And why is he helping her? Is he planning to use her for something dangerous? Does he have a bad idea about her? These were mysteries and questions she needed to unravel and answer, but it wouldn't be easy.
Rody is furious and worried about his family's safety, and he would never help her.
The next day arrived, and Nima's condition had worsened, her hands were starting to shake, and her wolf was taking over. Her lack of food and rest had taken a toll on her, and she was in a weakened state. She had been visited by the security guards regularly, ensuring she remained confined in her cell.
She even demanded food, but was told that Alex had ordered them to kill her if she made any suspicious moves. They also mentioned that they had no food to offer.
Despite the tight security measures put in place by Alex, Mia, Juliet, and Flora were determined to see their friend.
They had been searching for her, and when they found out that she was in prison, they were shocked and confused, so they hatched a plan to deceive the guards and get past them. It was risky, but their love and concern for Nima pushed them forward.
As Mia, Juliet, and Flora approached Nima's cell, they knew they had to be cautious when dealing with the security guards. The guards were under strict orders from Alex not to let anyone near the prisoner, and they were not about to let a few ladies defy those orders.
Guard 1: (blocking their path) "Halt! No one is allowed near this cell! Please, leave, immediately!"
Mia: (attempting to be persuasive) "We just want to check on our friend, Nima. We heard she's not doing well. Also, there must have been some mixed up somewhere, Nima would never hurt anyone."
Guard 2: (crossing his arms) "Orders are orders. We can't let anyone in. Also, there is no mixed up anywhere, she killed the five men we instructed to guide her, and she nearly killed your niece, Sandra! So,I would advise you not to associate yourself with her."
Juliet: (feigning concern) "We trust your words, but please, she's been through a lot. We're just worried about her. Can't you make an exception?"
Guard 1: (looking conflicted) "I'd like to help, but I can't go against our Alpha's orders, also if anything were to happen to you,I would be held responsible."
Flora: (playing her last card) "What if we promise not to tell anyone? We will be really quick, and I will make sure that you get promoted. You'll be doing a good deed, and we'll reward you nicely."
Guard 2: (sighing) "Okay, fine. But please be quick, and don't tell anyone about this. Also, don't move too close to her, because she is a monster."
Relieved that they had succeeded, the girls thanked the guards and hurried into Nima's cell.
As the three girls finally entered Nima's cell, they were shocked by her appearance. She looked frail, with bruises and cuts on her face from her fight with Alex. They rushed to her side, concerned all over their faces.
"Nima, what happened to you? What is going on?" Mia asked, her eyes filling with tears.
They moved closer to the cage, but they couldn't touch it.
Nima remained silent, her gaze distant. She had been deep in thought, contemplating her next steps and the revelations she needed to uncover.
She wondered if she was doing the right thing by making friends with her enemy sisters. And she kept thinking about Rody.
Juliet, always the compassionate one, gently touched Nima's shoulder. "Nima, you can tell us. We're here to help you. What is going on?"
Flora nodded in agreement. "You're not alone in this, Nima. We need to know where you were, what you were doing. Alex won't release you until you confess. Please, tell us, let's get you out of here, please."
After a while, Nima finally spoke, her voice low and filled with frustration. "You can not understand! Alex is your loyal and precious Alpha, you would never disobey him. So, I can't tell you. It's too dangerous, and I am not willing to take any more chances."
Mia's eyes blazed with determination. She had always been protective of Nima. "Nima, we understand, and indeed you are right. But, right now, we are here to help you, but we can't do that if you don't tell us what's going on. You've been through enough already."
Nima hesitated for a moment, considering her options. She wanted to get out of here alive, she needed to carry out her plans. She badly wanted to end this nightmare.
"Okay, I'll tell you some things, but you have to promise me you won't get involved. There's a mission I'm part of, and it's dangerous. I am trying to find the real people who murdered my parents, so I went to that woman's house, seeking for answers!"
The girls exchanged worried glances. Mia stepped closer to the cell and looked at her with love in her eyes. "Nima, we are really sorry about your parent's death."
Nima felt a rush of emotion as she looked at her friends, her protectors. She knew that she had lied, but she no longer cares.
Meanwhile, Mia was determined to confront her brother, Alex, and plead for Nima's release. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she couldn't let her best friend suffer any longer.
She found Alex in his office, deep in thought. His expression was troubled, he was also thinking about Nima, wondering what she is hiding from them.
He was starting to have some tiny feelings for her, and he felt guilty for punching her.
"Brother, please,we need to talk," Mia said, her voice firm.
Alex glanced at his little sister, and there was a moment of silence. He knew that she was here about Nima, and that she wouldn't give up until Nima was released.
"Mia, you know how important the pack's security is. Nima's actions put us all at risk. I can't just release her," he replied, frustration evident in his voice.
Mia pleaded, "I understand that, but she's a good friend, Alex. I can't abandon her like this. Please, consider the consequences of keeping her locked up."
Alex sighed, his internal struggle evident. Finally, he relented. "Fine, I'll release her, but you need to give me a good reason why I should.
Mia smiled, relieved that her brother had agreed. "Thank you, Alex. While she is a friend, she is very good at martial arts, and her fire powers can be beneficial to us."
