CATASTROPHE

CATASTROPHE
Sebastian's POV

“She is not in grave danger. Luckily, her system is quite immune to poison. She needs some rest  for at least a week." I out of a relieved sighed on hearing the doctor.

The pack doctor left after he was done with his check up. Dante walked in right after him, closing the door at once.

“Alpha Sebastian, you need to look at this," he said as he handed a tablet to me.

A video of Ava putting a substance into my drink while I was arguing with my mom played on repeat.

“Send some guards to arrest her and make sure she doesn't escape. As for her parents, if they resist the arrest, seize them as well," I ordered, leaving no room for sympathy.

They crossed the line they should never had. Touching Evie was their greatest mistake. I had been overlooking their stupidity since they were family with my wife. But their family bond won't save them this time.

Dante left once I gave him the order. I sat by Evie's bed, watching her sleep calmly. She has been suffering in the hands of her so called family for too long. Now that they have pulled my legs, I won't hesitate to drag theirs off the ground.

After sitting in silence for five minutes, my phone rang, breaking the disolation.

The line clicked as I put it on speaker. “Alpha Sebastian, there is a problem." Rowan's voice came off disturbed.

“What happened?" I asked.

“The Luna dowager threw herself down the fifth floor," she announced and silence blurred my senses. My pulsed quickened as panic settled on my shoulders.

Ava POV

The only thing I have ever wanted was a crown. That way I would be recognized for the rest of my life. I didn't want to be a nobody, a cheap shit who depended solely on her family.

And that is why I crawled, I slithered my way up to Lucas' bed with the thought of getting what I wanted. But I ended up being used instead of the other way around.

My hands clutched my hair trying to pull it off my scalp. Sanity was slipping away from me every minute I laid silent on my bed.

Mother said she would make me a princess. She promised to bring me the crown even though she knew it was impossible.

I slid my hand up the shit inhaling his forbidden scent. The bed we had made sinful passionate nights. I thought he finally got to love me just like I had fallen for him the night he kissed me under the moonlight at Argon Palace.

But all of his words, promises, gifts were all a lie to get me to do his bidding.

I screamed as his last words replayed in my her like a sound record. He chose Layla over me, used me and dumped me before I could reach out to him.

A knock came at the door, pulling my mind back to reality.

“Mom?" I called out, knowing she would be the only person who would come to find me.

However, when I opened the door, I saw my father instead.

“Dad..." I trailed off as he flashed a hateful glare on me.

“Who are you calling Dad?" He trudged with intimidating steps that made me move backwards.

“I don't understand...why would you say such a thing to me? I am your daughter and you care about me." I reached out my hand to hold him but he swatted it away.

“She really didn't tell you, did she?" He grumbled with despite deep in his voice.

“What do you mean?" I glared at him, unable to comprehend what he was saying. He smashed a vase on the floor startling me in the process.

“How dare you hurt my daughter?" He growled, grabbing my throat with pure anger in his eyes.

“Your daughter? What are...you talking about? I...I am your daughter..." I stuttered, struggling for air as he tightened his grip around my neck.

“Evie has always been kind to you. Yet you chose to repay her by poisoning her. How could you be so wicked? I brought you into my house, gave you a home, status and wealth. But you were so clueless to realize where you truly belonged." Tears rolled down my eyes as he said those cruel words to me.

Edward has always been kind to me and never for once did I ever think I would see this side of him.

“Dad...you are hurting me..."I begged, clawing my nails on his arm to set me free.

He was too strong for me and breaking free was impossible. I could die if he didn't let me go. But what I was more troubled about was his words.

Did Mom cast a wrong spell on him? Why would he call Evie his daughter when I have been his child for years.

“Dad, stop...you are... hurting your little princess..." I cried, choking for air. Tears pulled in my eyes, stinging from the realization that I would die by my father's hand.

“I am not your father. You and your mother deserve to die for all you have..." He didn't finish his last sentence when a hand came up on his head and smashed a vase on it.

His body fell to the ground with a loud thud and blood flood out of his head within seconds.

“Mom." I trembled as I rushed to her side.

“Don't worry, Mom is here. I will protect you till the end. No one will ever hurt you," she said, protecting me in her arms.

I cried on her shoulder, struggling to steady my breath from the chokehold. If she has not come sooner, I would have ended up dead.

“We have to get away from here. They are coming to take you from me. We need to leave the pack right now," she said hurriedly. I followed her as she ran through the corridor as if someone was chasing us.

When I looked back to where Edward was, his body had vanished and someone in black stood at the center of the hall.
