Chapter 75
Half an hour later.
“Tan.” Cathy walked out of the examination rooin.
She lowered her head slightly, allowing her long hair to fall, and used her slender fingers to gently hook.
“How was it?” lan hurriedly approached, looking anxious.
“This… ask the doctor,” Cathy turned back and looked at the doctor.
“Don’t worry, everything is normal,” the doctor said.
Ian’s tense eyes suddenly relaxed.
Confusion slowly surfaced in his mind.
“Normal?”
“Yes, normal. Let’s go quickly,” Cathy pulled lan and said urgently, as if she wanted to leave immediately.
lan didn’t say anything, his hand hanging down.
His fingers fell, trying to grasp something, but caught nothing.
So, was it not Cathy who donated the corneas back then?
Then who could it be?
Cath
Sherry..
He silently repeated these names.
“lan, I’ll go to the restroom, wait for me here for a moment,” Cathy pushed him when she saw he hadn’t moved.
Ian was lost in thought and just made a vague sound in response.
When Cathy entered the restroom, he delved deeper into this issue.
The next moment, he took out his phone and dialed the number of Evercrest Town Hospital’s ophthalmology department.
After the call connected, he urged impatiently, “I want to speak to Dr. Cooper.”
“Who are you? What’s y
your matter with Dr. Cooper?” the other end asked

Hurry!” he was very impatient.
The staff on the other end was intimidated by his tone and didn’t dare to hesitate. They quickly went to find Dr. Cooper.
Dr. Cooper had just finished examining a patient and was scribbling notes onto a clipboard. As she walked towards the call, she peeled off her disposable gloves, the sound of rustling plastic echoing through the hallway.
Impatiently, he said, “Can’t you see I’m busy?
The staff who answered the call looked apologetic, “The other person seems to be very anxious, it’s probably something important.”
Only then did Dr. Cooper pick up the phone. “Who is this?”
“It’s me, Ian.” lan spoke crisply. “Dr. Cooper, can you tell me more about this girl named Cath?”
“Cath?” Dr. Cooper was caught off guard by his question and was silent for a while before responding. This girl’s vision is so poor, yet you gave her five diopters of correction. This won’t happen. If the patient raises the issue, it could be considered a medical accident.”
“This was the patient’s wish, and she insisted on it. What can I do? Ian replied.
“Which patient is this crazy? If she didn’t want others to know about her poor vision, she shouldn’t have come for an examination.”
“Ah, it’s just that she’s a big star, Cath… Ah, maybe she’s afraid of unnecessary trouble from her fans, let’s not worry about it too much.”
As lan was waiting for Dr. Cooper’s response, he suddenly heard this snippet of conversation.
He immediately turned his head and saw a doctor in a white coat and a nurse hurriedly walking away.
Although the doctor didn’t reveal much, the words “big star” and “Cath” were clear to him!
With his head buzzing, he quickened his pace and rushed forward.
In one swift motion, he reached out and grabbed the male doctor’s shoulder, forcing him to turn around.
“Mr. Kemnis?” The male doctor was startled when he saw lan
Ian comes here every year for an eye examination, and he recognized him.
“How is Cathy’s vision?” Ian dragged him in front of him and asked abruptly.
Because he was too anxious, his eyes looked sharp and fierce.
The doctor was frightened by his demeanor and couldn’t speak for a while.
“Speak politely,” the nurse advised softly.

Jan finally released his grip on the doctor’s shoulder. “Give me the real resultat”
The doctor rubbed his sore shoulder and felt that he couldn’t lift his arm.
This man looked thin and fair, but his grip was unexpectedly strong.
Hearing that lan wanted the results, he hesitated, “I’m sorry, unless the patient agrees, the results cannot be disclosed
“If she’s with me, and you won’t tell me. I’ll take her in for another examination!” fan said sternly.
He didn’t say anything else, but the doctor’s legs trembled.
“Okay.” Finally, the doctor sighed and handed over the report.
lan quickly lowered his head and began to look through the results, but the more he looked, the tighter his pupils became.
His heart was fiercely convulsing!
Because he was so focused on reading, he didn’t hear Dr. Cooper’s words over the phone, “I don’t know the girl’s full name, but her father is a famous shoemaker around here…”
Cathy slowly walked out, pretending to be completely nonchalant
As an actress, she could easily perform such a role.
“Ian,” she called out, walking quickly to lan, “You waited for such a long time, I’m sorry.”
Ian’s face was unreadable as he looked up at her, leaving her unsure of how to react.
“What’s wrong?” Cathy knew what he was thinking and deliberately asked.
However, Jan firmly grasped her shoulder and said coldly, “Do you find lying fun?”
“Huh?” Cathy completely didn’t expect such a reaction from him and felt her mind go blank! Her legs trembled.
Ian had exposed her lie…
How could this happen?
At this moment, Cathy was thinking more about: It’s over!
She had worked tirelessly to earn lan’s forgiveness and a promise to pursue a relationship with her. But now, as a result of this incident, she was back to square one.
No, it might be even worse!
Four years ago, she had hurt him deeply, and now, pretending to be the one who donated the corneas, Ian would hate her! He would go find that girl!
Chapter 75
Devote himself entirely.
lan was a person of strong emotions.
And that girl happened to have feelings for him…
Although Linda had told her that there was no useful information left by the other party, Cathy knew that there was nothing lan couldn’t achieve when he set his mind to it!
A profound sense of despair overwhelmed her, and tears flowed from her eyes. She no longer cared about her image; she cried.
Then, her trembling arms suddenly tightened!
Someone had grabbed her..
Very tightly, extremely tight.
That person pressed her into his embrace and hugged her tightly!
The force was so strong that she could hardly breathe.
In the midst of this suffocating feeling, she heard lan’s rapid and painful breathing.
And his words: “Even if I’m blind for the rest of my life, I don’t want you to take such a risk. How can you do this to
me, I can’t bear it!”
“Huh?”
Cathy covered her lips silently.
Could it be…
Ian was still holding Cathy, tears falling into her neckline and landing on her neck. “Even if I’m blind, I don’t want you to do this, Cathy, I really don’t want you to do this.”
Those tears were scorching hot.
Cathy had never seen him so emotional.
Even when she revealed such a scandal four years ago, and Sherry forced a marriage, he had never shown this kind of impulse.
At most, he would silently clench his fists.
But this time, he cried.
Cathy had been acting, but at this moment, she was drawn into the drama by him, and tears filled her eyes.
In her heart, she felt fortunate, “It’s good, it’s good.”
Fortunately, she didn’t directly make the doctor say there was a problem with her eyes but used that method instead.
Fortunately, Inn hadn’t found out.
With this favor, she could once again rise to prominence and become the woman on Ian’s mind.
The two were wrapped up in a tight embrace, their bodies intertwined, when a jarring voice abruptly interrupted
