Sherry Stewart!
Ian just left, did he go to find Sherry?
Then… did he hear what I said to Sherry earlier? Thinking about this, Linda’s head buzzed.
Her legs trembled, almost causing her to fall.
In a hurry, she supported herself against the wall.
lan.”
A clear voice came to her ears.
It was Sherry’s voice!
Linda stared at the two of them intently.
Sherry’s back disap peared into the distance as she walked away, leaving Ian standing alone….
As soon as she turned around, another figure appeared out of thin air.
It was Cathy!
As she looked at lan, her beautiful face was suffused with a gentle smile.
Then she walked over and hooked her arm with Ian’s.
Watching these scenes, Linda suddenly understood: the one who spoke just now was Cathy, and Ian and Sherry passed each other without noticing each other!
Sigh…
She let out a slow breath from her chest and realized how frightened she had been just now.
“Tan, why did you suddenly bring me here?” Although Cathy’s voice was gentle, her eyes displayed confusion as she asked the question.
Ian gently patted her hand, “To get your eyes checked.”
“Eye check? But I just had a full–body examination.” As Cathy spoke, her lips curved into a subtle smile, enhancing her cultured and knowledgeable persona.
“Do it again, just to be sure,” lan said, looking into Cathy’s eyes.
He brought Cathy here to have her eyes checked.

The doctor said that the girl’s nickname was “Bal”
And the doctor from Evercrest Town sald that the one who consulted about live organ donation was “Cath“.
He had no acquaintances back then except for Cathy.
He received his corneas through donation, and it is most likely that Cathy was the donor.
Ian thought the doctor at the private hospital had a bad memory and thought “Sherry” as “Cath.”
Of course, this still needed to be confirmed.
Cathy touched her own eyes.
Her eyes were the most beautiful part of her, clear and sparkling always captivating
When lan looked at her eyes with such affection, she deliberately made a shy smile, appearing completely
embarrassed.
In lan’s eyes, it brought a different feeling.
If it really was her who donated the corneas, she would certainly not want him to know.
Because of this, he didn’t tell her the reason for the eye examination.
“Go inside,” he said softly.
Meanwhile, Linda watched Tan and Cathy go further away, unable to make sense of the situation.
She didn’t hear lan talking to the doctor in the inner room.
So she didn’t know the specific situation of the cornea donor.
Ian asked the doctor, and then he brought Cathy to check her eyes…
Linda didn’t know who the donor was, but she knew one thing: Cathy had excellent vision!
Ian had doubts about the donor and was thinking of beginning the investigation with Cathy?
Thinking of this, while Cathy was away, Linda entered the examination room and called her on the phone.
“Linda, is there something urgent? If not, call me later,” Cathy said softly on the other end.
There were many instruments in front of her.
They were specifically for testing vision.
The technician was already waiting.
In an effort to change the impression she had left on others four years ago, Cathy had been working hard to create a new image of herself as a knowledgeable, polite, and mature person, which was why she spoke like that.

Cathy, wait!” Linda sounded a bit anxious, “It’s very important!”
When Cathy heard her say it was very important, she had to cover the phone and apologize to the technician, “Sorry, doctor, can I finish this call first?”
“Sure,” the technician nodded.
Cathy was a familiar face on TV, having made a name for herself in commercials and popular dramas.
Unexpectedly, she was so amiable to others.
Even though the schedule was tight, the technician couldn’t resist agreeing
After the technician agreed, Cathy walked to a distance from the technician by the window and spoke in a low voice.
“Tell me.”
Linda took a deep breath.
She started. “Cathy, Mr. Kemnis is looking for the person who donated corneas to him back then.”
“Is that so? That’s good.” Cathy didn’t appear particularly nervous, instead, she said calmly, “If they are found, I will personally thank their family.”
Cathy’s lack of urgency made Linda’s heart beat faster, “The other person was a sixteen or seventeen–year–old girl, and it was a live organ donation!”
“What?” Cathy’s beautiful face finally changed.
She was surprised not by anything else but the words “live organ donation.”
You see, most people wouldn’t dare to do such a thing.
Despite her initial belief that donating corneas was a noble act, she quickly pondered whether the Kemnis family had paid an excessive amount of money to obtain them, and whether some individuals would stop at nothing for financial gain.
Compared to losing a kidney for money, being blind in one eye was much less harmful, right?
In addition, Linda made a point of mentioning that the donor was no more than sixteen or seventeen years of age. which further strengthened her belief that young people are willing to do anything for money.
“In any case, this matter seems strange. Linda didn’t have time to say more.
Analysis, just speculating.
“Yeah, why would Ian look for her?” Cathy’s willow–like eyebrows furrowed..
Even if it was a live organ donation, the Kemnis family must have paid a huge sum of money. There was no reason to find someone else again.

Could it be that his eyes are having problems again?
Immediately, Cathy denied this possibility.
Ian undergoes specialized eye examinations every year. Linda showed her the results of the examination, everything was normal!
“So, Cathy, listen to me. During the vision test later, you must make Mr. Kennis believe that there’s a serious problem with your eyes!” Linda said.
Over the years, Linda not only acted as lan’s assistant but also served as Cathy’s strategist. She advised Cathy on many things.
“Why?” Cathy didn’t understand. “I don’t want to deceive lan.”
She came back this time with the intention of spending her life with lan.
Making a vow to treat Ian with love and respect, she also promised to cherish him forever.
“Cathy, sometimes a well–intentioned lie will not harm your relationship but may even be beneficial,” Linda advised carefully.
She also liked lan.
But compared to Cathy, there was a huge difference in appearance alone.
Cathy’s appearance and voice were things she admired.
Plus, she was a celebrity.
Compared to an assistant, a celebrity sounded much better.
She acknowledged she couldn’t compare to lan and, therefore, resolved to assist Cathy in getting closer to lan to help her get over her infatuation.
a
“So…” she took a deep breath, “you should do as I say! Let Mr. Kemnis think that you are the one who donated the
corneas back then!”
“This….. is too crazy!”
Even the Cathy from four years ago wouldn’t dare to do this.
Where would she find the courage now, four years later?
Linda tightened her grip on the phone, “Cathy, let me tell you the truth. That girl donated her corneas for free. Once Mr. Kemnis finds her, he will definitely repay the favor.”
“Have you thought about it? Why would that girl be willing to donate her corneas for free?”
“This…” Cathy also squeezed the phone tightly.
A strong sense of crisis instantly engulfed her!
She had learned from past experiences that the more daring the adventure, the greater the sense of purpose.
The only reason that could make a girl not ask for money was probably love….
She opened her mouth, but it felt like her entire chest and abdomen were filled with air.
She couldn’t make a sound at all..
Linda’s voice continued. “You and Mr. Kemnis have finally come back together, reconciled after a breakup. Why add complications? As long as you admit to this, Mr. Kemnis won’t go looking for that girl again, and your relationship with him will be stronger.”
“Didn’t you say that this time you want to treat Mr. Kennis seriously? Don’t you want him to completely forget the past and treat you like before?”
I do want that!
She dreamt of it!
Linda’s words hit the nail on the head.
Cathy had felt on more
re than one occasion that lan didn’t treat her the same as before.
She had been trying to find a way to go back to how things were.
Linda’s suggestion…..
Her fingers tightened even more.
The pale joints showed endless strength.
More like a determination…..
