Chapter 84 Intoxicated with hate

Chapter 84 Intoxicated with hate
Rosia POV

It has been an hour since I saw Rhea walk out of the palace gates through my chambers window. It's already dark and she hasn't come back inside. Which makes me wonder why she went out there.

"You asked for me, my lady." Silas asks nervously after walking through the open doors.

I can see that he's no longer very comfortable in my presence after knowing I know that he's seeing my mother.

"Yes, I did. I need you to keep an eye on my sister. She left the palace an hour ago and hasn't returned." I command refiling my third glass of wine.

"Should I send a few of my guards to search for her, my lady?" He questions sounding worried.

"Oh no. I just need you to keep an eye on when she returns and report to me." I tell. He seems shocked by my decision but nods his head.

"As you order my lady. I will personally keep an eye." He bows and makes his way out, only to meet with one of my mates, Aeries who is making his way into the chambers.

"Your Majesty." Silas bows and steps out.

"What was that about?" My mate questions striding towards me.

"Nothing important for a busy king to waste his time on." I tell so that he'll not ask more. I'm sure he'd hate to hear that I am having my sister followed.

"I'm still curious since it always happens that our assistants always have a thing for you." He says coming close to peck my lips. I move my head and he ends up pecking my cheek. He frowns.

"Should I also be worried because my sisters always seem to have a thing for you?" I question sarcastically and he frowns.

"Are you drunk? I think you have had enough." He pushes the glass away from me. "All we wanted was for you to not destroy your only family and then regret it later. I'm sure Rhea would be willing to sit and talk about all misunderstandings before..."

"I'm so hurt that despite all the times that we have been through shit together and I have helped, you still can't trust what I say."

"We never said that we do not believe you. We said there is no evidence enough that your sister is the monster, so we cannot throw her out of the palace." He tells.

"What if I bring you the evidence?" I question and he sighs.

"You just cannot choose peace with your sister, can you?"

"Are you interested in peace or catching the monster?"

"You know, I'm still wondering what is making you think that your beloved sister is the monster. Look at the size of her. What would she even benefit from being the monster?"

"A lot. Beauty for one. But I'll find out?" I say and my mate shakes his head in frustration.

"We have the first human festival coming up in three days, remember?" He asks and now I am reminded of that. That we had set a festival meant to celebrate the freedom of my kind, it will happen every year. A lot of things have been happening recently that it all skipped my head.

"All eyes will be on you. Why don't you concentrate on making the best of that celebration and let me and my brothers worry about catching the monster?"

"I..I don't think it's wise to bring a lot of people here for a celebration while there is a monster. We should move the celebration forward." I suggest.

"Moving the celebration forward because of a small issue like a monster will make us look weak in our subjects eyes. And as kings we cannot be seen that way." He States. "We have three days before the cerebration. Hopefully we'll have caught it by then."

"And if you'll have not?" I question. "Is your little reputation more important than the lives of your subjects?"

"Why do you have to be so difficult over everything over the last few days? Let us be the ones to worry about that. All you have to do is be pretty by our side during the celebration." He answers firmly.

"So my importance to you is to be pretty by your side?" I frown in anger. "I will wear a pretty gown and paint a smile over my face as well so I don't paint your little good reputation, my king."

There is shock in his eyes as he stares down at my pissed face.

"I really think these last few days have been really hard on you and you really need a good rest to get over all this stress."

"You think I need a good rest?" I scoff and he nods.

"Go to bed and rest your intoxicated mind. We'll talk about this when you are sobber."

"And if I don't want to do as you say?" I challenge. "What will you do?"

He suddenly hand picks me up and dumps me on the bed. He climbs on top of me before I can move. His hands pin me against the beddings.

"Why do you want to start doing things the hard way. Not that I'm not okay with its. It’s a nice change. I am actually loving this fierce side of you.” he whispers to my ear before pulling up my robe.

My exposed body under his gaze.

I try pulling down my robe, but the silk fabric stretches and rips. His lips curve into a smirk. I raise my hand to crawl at his eyes. But the strength to dig my nails into his flesh suddenly vanishes and my hand drops back down. I look up to see the crown on his head glowing.

"Stop using the crown powers on me, you bastard."

His hands tear the rest of the robe off me and toss it off the bed, leaving me completely bare.

"How powerful do you feel now? Do you still think that your defiance counts?" he teases.

His fingers touches the bare skin of my belly and traces a path upward towards my left breast. He stops right before getting to it and once again leans close to peck my cheek.

"We would keep you forever nked if we were the only ones in this palace. The goddess of beauty must be envious of you," he praises.

"Just after you told me I am jealous of my sister's beauty?" I gather enough saliva in my mouth and spit on his face.

He looks down at me with disappointment in his eyes.

"We will talk about this tomorrow. Now close your eyes so I can watch you sleep."

I feel my brain start to rest against my will.

Rhea's POV

A few metres from my father's pack I shift back to my human form and wear my robe. Then make my way towards the guarded gates

"It's late for any visitors, turn back and leave." one of the guards growls dismissively.

"I strongly advise against turning me back." I calmly say taking off my hood.

They all look surprised to see my face again.

"Did the Alpha not sell her to the Angel kings?" One whispers to his colleagues.

"And who the hell does she think she is?" The other rages brandishing his weapon as if poised to strike. I stand my ground.

"I need to see Alpha Nolan. He will not be happy if he learns that you unceremoniously turned me back." I explain.

"No one meets the Alpha until he is informed of their visit. And he never meets anyone at this late hour.... only his concubines. Are you one of his whres?" The one guard replies and his friends laugh.

"Let her through." A strict voice comes from behind them and I am glad to see my father's beta, Luther.

He's the only other person in the pack that knows that I am the Alpha's daughter and not some sold slave

The guards immediately step aside, "Beta Luther, we didn't know—"

"Welcome home my dear! This pack has been deprived of your beautiful presence for too long." Luther strides towards me like an excited child. He kisses the back of my hand.

The man used to be my lover back when I lived in this poor pack. I found him good-looking then, before I laid my eyes on the mighty Angel kings and they got my heart going mad, in ways I cannot start to explain.

I look away from him and step past the gates.

"Never turn anyone else back again without consulting me first." He warns the guards before falling into steps beside me as I head towards the pack house entrance.

"I missed you more than you can ever imagine. I was so mad at your father when he sent you to live in the big palace." His hand moves to touch my arm.

"I would suggest you keep your filthy hands off me," I spit. "What we had is a thing of the past now."

I see colour drains from his stupid face.

I can’t believe I actually found the idiot handsome back then.

"A thing of the past?" He repeats. "A
..are you not here to see me?"

I let out a scoff, "I'm here to see my father," I reveal not bothering to look at him as we have reached the heavy wooden doors of the pack house.
