Chapter 41 Death Of Wolf Mafia

Chapter 41 Death Of Wolf Mafia
KIARA'S POV

Dad stands right in front of me. There is a gun in his hand, aimed straight at me. The black muzzle of the gun reminds me of death itself. My breath catches in my throat. My legs begin to tremble, yet I still try to steady myself.

In a voice filled with rage and hatred, he says,
“Today, I will kill you.”

The moment those words leave his mouth, my world starts to shake. Tears stream down my face. Crying, almost collapsing, I plead,
“Dad… what have I ever done to you? Everything was finally fine then why? Please… spare my daughter.”

My voice is soaked in tears, breaking with every word. I look at Ria my tiny daughter who is staring at me in terror. My heart feels like it’s tearing apart.

But there is not a trace of mercy on Dad’s face. In a cold, emotionless tone, he says, “No. I will kill both of you. Only then will Neil completely lose his sanity.”

Hearing this, my soul trembles. I beg again, my voice shaking, “But why do you want to do this? Why?”

He steps forward, madness flashing in his eyes.
“I want the throne of the mafia king,” he says.
“I want to become the biggest don in the underworld. But your husband Neil has taken that position from me. Now the only way I can reclaim it is through your death.”

With those words, he presses the gun against my head. The cold metal touches my skin. A sharp scream escapes my lips,
“Nooo…!!”

At that very moment.

The sound of a gunshot echoes.

My heart seems to stop. Time freezes. My eyes shut tightly. I think it’s all over.

A few seconds later…

I slowly open my eyes.

I realize, I haven’t been shot. Neither has Ria.

In shock, I look at myself, then at Ria. She is fine. Alive.

Then my gaze shifts to Dad.

His hand is covered in blood. The gun is still in his grip, but blood is flowing from his wrist. He has been shot in the hand. He groans in pain.

I stand there, completely stunned.

And then I turn my head to the other side.

What I see makes my breath hitch.

Neil is standing there.

A gun is in his hand. His eyes are blazing with fury.

The moment I see Neil, tears of relief pour from my eyes. My heart starts pounding wildly. Crying, my voice broken and shattered, I say, “Neil… please… help me.”

Everything is happening in this very moment, right now…

Neil steps forward. The sound of his footsteps echoes through the entire room. With every step, the air feels heavier, thicker. His face is hard, his eyes burning with fire and resolve. He speaks in a powerful, deep voice, one that pierces straight through the heart.

“Looks like you’ve forgotten your place.” His words spread through the air like poison.

Dad’s face turns pale in an instant. His hands begin to tremble, his eyes widen. His lips quiver as he speaks in a shaken, broken voice, “N-N-Neil…?”

A cold, terrifying smile appears on Neil’s lips. Without blinking, he replies, “Yes. What did you think? That I would never reach you?”

He slowly walks to the chair and sits down calmly, as if this entire scene is nothing more than a game for him. His eyes remain fixed on Dad.

“To be honest, I already had my doubts,” Neil says, his voice icy, “That the one threatening me in the name of the mafia the wolf was you.”

Dad tries to say something, but his voice fails him.

Neil leans forward slightly, resting his elbows on his knees, staring straight into his eyes. “But you forget…”

He pauses for a moment, “A lion is always a lion.”

At those words, sweat breaks out on Dad’s face. All his courage begins to crumble. In panic, he says, “Neil… give me the throne.”

He pauses, then quickly looks at me and Ria before adding, “Or… take Kiara and Ria.”

My heart starts pounding violently. My breath catches again. I pull Ria closer to me.

Neil’s eyes grow even harder. He stands up. There is no mercy left in his voice now.

“Kiara, Ria, and the throne…” he says, stressing each word, “All three are mine.”

As soon as he says this, he raises his gun and points it straight at Dad. A deadly silence fills the room. Only my breathing can be heard.

Neil says coldly, “Your game is over.”

Dad tries to step back, but his legs give up on him.

Without blinking, Neil says, “This is your last breath.”

And in that very moment BANG!!!!!

The sound of the gunshot rips through the air.

A sharp scream escapes Dad’s mouth. His body jerks backward and collapses to the ground. He falls hard, blood slowly spreading beneath him.

I don’t think even for a second. The moment Dad collapses to the ground, I run toward Neil. My legs are trembling, my breaths are broken, everything in front of my eyes feels blurred. Only one face remains clear Neil.

I reach him and immediately wrap my arms around him. And then… it feels like all my strength gives up at once.

I start crying uncontrollably. It feels as if every fear, every pain, every silent scream buried inside me is pouring out through my tears. My entire body is shaking.

I am fully prepared for him to push me away, to pull back from me but nothing like that happens.

Neil doesn’t move away. Instead, he holds me even tighter in his arms.

One of his hands rests on my head, the other on my back. His grip is strong, protective as if he is silently saying, “Everything is okay now.”

His voice is soft, loving, yet slightly scolding as he says, “Kiara… how many times have I told you… never go out without your bodyguards.”

Still clinging to his chest, I cry and say, “I didn’t know, Neil… I had no idea this would happen.”

My voice breaks with every word. My breath catches again and again.

He gently runs his hand through my hair and says, “Alright… calm down now. No more crying. Not at all.”

I pull back slightly, but my fingers are still tightly clutching his shirt, as if letting go might make everything collapse again. My eyes burn red, swollen with tears that refuse to stop. My chest feels heavy, like it’s carrying a weight I don’t know how to set down.

With a broken voice, I say, “About Dad… I don’t understand anything, Neil. Everything happened so suddenly…”

The words barely leave my mouth before my throat tightens again. My breath trembles. My mind keeps replaying everything sirens, chaos, fear, the finality of it all. Nothing makes sense. Nothing feels real.

For a brief moment, Neil doesn’t say anything.

His eyes harden not with anger, but with something darker. Something dangerous. Something buried deep inside him. His jaw tightens as if he’s holding back a truth that was never meant to surface like this.

Then he exhales slowly. Deeply.

“Your dad…” he begins, his voice controlled but heavy, “Your dad was the Wolf Mafia, Kiara.”

The words hit me like a bullet.

“He was involved in smuggling and illegal rackets,” Neil continues calmly, almost painfully calm.
“I knew everything.”

I stare at him in shock.

My mind refuses to accept what my ears just heard. Wolf Mafia? Smuggling? Illegal rackets? My father the man who held my hand when I was scared, who kissed my forehead every night was living a life I never knew?

“What…?” my lips part, but no sound comes out.

Neil keeps speaking, his voice steady, “I’ve been searching for this entire racket for a long time. It’s bigger than you can imagine.”

He looks straight into my eyes.

“But today… I found it because of you.”

That’s it.

The dam breaks.

Tears spill freely down my cheeks. My shoulders shake as sobs tear out of my chest.
“I was scared, Neil… I was so scared,” I cry.
“And now… my dad is gone from my life forever.”

The truth crushes me.

No matter what he was… he was still my father.
And he’s gone, Forever.

My throat tightens so badly it feels like I can’t breathe. Saying these words breaks me all over again, piece by piece.

Before I can fall apart completely, Neil steps closer.

He cups my face with both his hands, firm yet gentle, like he’s holding something precious and fragile at the same time. His thumbs brush away my tears, but more keep coming.

His eyes soften.

“It’s okay,” he says quietly, “I’m here.”

Just three words.

But they feel like medicine to my shattered heart.

I close my eyes for a moment, letting his presence anchor me. When I open them again, fear creeps in a new one.

I gather what little courage I have left and ask softly, “You’re… you’re not angry with me, are you?”

Neil’s lips curve into the faintest smile. He shakes his head and wipes my tears with his thumb.

“No,” he replies gently, “What would I even gain by being angry at you?”

He pauses, then adds honestly, “I care about you a lot, Kiara.”

Something inside me loosens.

My heart, which has been clenched in fear and pain, slowly begins to melt.

I swallow hard and speak in a quiet voice, almost afraid of my own words, “And now… if it’s still my insistence that I want a child…”

Before I can finish the sentence, Neil interrupts me, “Then I agree.”

I freeze.

I look at him, stunned, “You… what?”

He doesn’t look away. His eyes are intense, filled with something powerful and unshakable.

“I agree,” he repeats firmly.

“Because,” he continues, his voice low but filled with conviction, “I never want to put you in danger.”

The way he says it like a vow sends a shiver through me. I search his face.

There’s something else there now. Something he’s still not saying.

My voice trembles as a question rises from the deepest corner of my heart.

“Neil…” I whisper, “Are you… mafia?”

The silence that follows is terrifying.

His eyes darken not with denial, but with truth.

“Yes,” he says finally, “I am.”

My breath catches.

“Yes,” he continues calmly, “I am mafia.”

I feel my world tilt, but before fear can take over, he speaks again stronger, clearer.

“But not the way you’re thinking.”

He steps closer, his hands still on my face, grounding me.

“I didn’t become what I am for power. Or money. Or crime,” he says, “I became this for my country.”

I stare at him, stunned.

“I am the head of the mafia,” he admits without hesitation, “But my organization exists to destroy the real monsters. Smugglers. Traffickers. Terror networks. People the system can’t reach.”

His voice grows colder, sharper, “I protect this country from the shadows.”

My heart pounds violently, “So… everything you do…” I whisper.

“Is for safety,” he finishes, “For control. For justice where law fails.”

I shake slightly, “And my father…?”

Neil’s jaw tightens.

“Your father chose the wrong side,” he says honestly, “And I was already after him long before I ever met you.”

That truth hurts but I can hear the regret in his voice, He softens again.

“But you,” he says quietly, "You were never part of that world. And you never will be.”

I inhale shakily.

“You’re dangerous,” I whisper.

He nods, “To my enemies.”

Then he leans his forehead against mine.

“But to you?” His voice drops to a whisper, “I am just a man who loves you. Who will protect you. And who will protect our children.”

My eyes fill again but this time, not with fear.

With trust, With love.

I rest my forehead against his chest, my hands gripping his shirt once more—not in desperation now, but in certainty.

“I’m not scared of you,” I whisper.

His arms wrap around me instantly, strong and unbreakable.

“Good,” he murmurs against my hair, “Because as long as I breathe, nothing will ever touch you.”

TO BE COUNTINUE...!!!

Did I do Right ?
