Chapter 72 CHAPTER SEVENTY TWO

Chapter 72 CHAPTER SEVENTY TWO
EMILY POV

“Stop it, tell them to stop.” I screamed out, holding my head as Killian pleads drummed through my brain painfully.

We were currently back at the underground lab. Where researchers were currently injecting whatever into  Killian, trying to get him to change back.

“Stop,” Anthony’s loud voice rang out. “All of you, get out,” he snapped.

The researchers dropped whatever they were doing, quickly leaving.

I walked slowly towards Killian cage, but Roman stood in front of me, stopping me.

“Are you sure about this?” he asked, nodding towards the glass where Killian was currently in, his blood red eyes staring at me.

“I don’t know,” Roman, “but i can hear him in my head. He needs my help, and I don’t know how, but I have this feeling i can help him.”

Roman stared at me for a while, before stepping aside.

I opened the glass door, before tentatively walking inside.

Killian was standing deadly still,  thick saliva dripping from his sharp long canines. His blood red eye’s, followed my every movements.

“Chaira, what do we do?”

“Just follow your instincts, you are strong Emily.”

I sat down cross legged in front of Killian, closing my eyes as I let out a loud sigh.

Nothing happened at first, but suddenly, it was like I can hear Killians thought.

“you have to help me,” he screamed out, “i can’t, i don’t know how to change back.”

“It’s ok Killian, now listen to me alright.”

“I want you to focus, calm your head and mind. Now, imagine your human form.”

“Think about your legs, your body, your eyes, everything as it was.”

Killian breathed out, before closing his eyes.

“It’s not working,” he screamed out, thrashing about.

I concentrated hard, trying to read his energy. Moving closer, I placed my hand on Killians head.

And with a voice that was even strange to me, I commanded Killian to shift.

Suddenly he cried out, howling painfully as his bone’s snapped and cracked, long hairy legs, stretching out as Killian slowly transformed back to his human form.

I opened my eyes, smiling at the sight of a naked Killian, groaning painfully as he curled himself.

Anthony entered with a thick blanket, giving me a strange look, before covering Killian.

I stood up, almost falling as wave of dizziness spread through me.

“I got you,” Roman whispered, his strong hands holding me upright.

He swept me of my feet, carrying me bridal style through the lab.

Loud wailing stopped us, Killian was suddenly in front of us, holding on to my legs.

Anthony staggered out of the glass cage, holding his head were Killian probably hit him.

I could feel Killian emotions strongly, and right now, he wouldn’t allow anyone leave here with me.

“It’s ok Killian,” I told him gently. “You can come with us ok.”

Roman glanced at me sharply, biting his lips.

I nodded at him, asking him to go, while Killian followed us closely.

Anthony took us to his lab, where Rachel conducted different tests on me and Killian.

Everything was ok so far, but the connection between me and Killian was still unexplainable.

It was like giving birth to a child. Killian followed me anywhere, only listening to me and any moment now, I knew Roman would explode in anger.

I chuckled, as Roman made a funny face at me, before holding my hands in his.

“I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s like Killian sees you as his Alpha or something of that nature.” Rachel mused out loudly, glancing at the screen where my brain scan and Killian own was.

“What’s that red spot?” I asked her, pointing at the identical red spot in both me and Killian's brain scan.

“Your brains are both sharing a kind of connection.” Rachel says, pointing at the scan. “From what I can tell, this part of your brain has more activity than the other area. I don’t have all the facts yet, but I will need to do more tests.”

“I am sorry, but we can’t stay. It’s been three days, and by now, Alpha Castor would be worried. Besides, we still don’t know what happened to the guards he sent with us.” Roman says, turning towards Anthony.

“They are fine,” Anthony mutters, rolling his eyes. “I am sure by now, they should be back in the pack.”

“See,” Roman voiced out, “we can’t stay. Otherwise Alpha Castor might send out more guards to look for us.”

“I need to run more tests,” Rachel shrieked out, shaking her head. “There is so much we need to learn, and then what about Killian? From what we know, he can’t stay without Emily for now, how are you going to explain that?”

“How about calling your Alpha to let him know the conditions?” Castor who has been silent all this while spoke up, his gruff voice echoing round the lab.

Through this whole argument, I could feel a sharp dull pain pulsing at my lower stomach.

I winced, shifting on my seat, blinking rapidly as the pain became a bit stronger.

“Are you ok?” Killian asked me, coming to stand very close to me.

“I don’t know,” I gritted out, letting a sharp painful gasp as my babies began kicking rapidly now, the pain spreading through my body.

Roman pushed Killian away from me, taking me in his hands.

“What’s wrong Emily?” He asked, holding me tight.

“My tummy,” I gritted out, clutching Romans hands tightly. “The babies are kicking, and pain, it’s everywhere.”

Rachel came closer to me, pressing lightly on my tummy.

I screamed out, gasping as sharp pain pulsated through my stomach.

Quickly, she went into action, asking me to lie down, before telling both Roman and Killian to give me breathing space.

“What’s going on?” Anthony asked her, holding his hands out to stop a panicked stricken Rachel.

“I don’t know,” she snapped out, “but if my guess is right, then Emily here is about to give birth.”
