Chapter 107 Wild Roses
ANNA'S POV
My hands were shaking slightly as I packed my bags. Tears were stinging the back of my eyes. Princess treatment from my friends was one of the things that I wasn't used to.
Ryan asked me to pack quickly, because he had already arranged his private jet, and both of us could head to Italy immediately. According to him, he was taking me on a staycation. It was just the two of us staying in his villa, but in a different environment.
He wanted to make sure that I was taking care of myself and having as much rest as I needed. I didn't have a problem with that.
“Are you sure you don't have a problem with going with him?” Daniel asked, leaning against the door, like he was trying to make sure that I wasn't angry about his decision.
I nodded. “Maybe… just maybe I really need that rest. Maybe things will be better now that I'm going for a while.”
He gave me a nod. “I support you in this, one hundred percent.”
“You don't think that I'm abandoning things, right?” I asked, and he shook his head.
“You’re giving yourself a break. I don't see how you're committing a sin by doing that.”
That was all I needed to hear. I zipped my bag, and Daniel quickly took it downstairs, where Ryan was waiting.
I headed to the bathroom and took a quick shower. I applied makeup again, tying my hair in a ponytail. I quickly put on jeans and a t-shirt, with white sneakers.
As I headed back downstairs, Ryan smiled at me.
“It's been a while since I've seen you in anything but corporate gowns.”
“I don't think you've ever seen me without them,” I said, and he grinned.
“You won't be wearing corporate clothes while you're in Italy, right?” He asked, and I pouted.
“I'll think about it. You might just have to beg me.”
“I have a whole lot of wild roses for you.”
“Don't make me hate the flowers,” I said, laughing.
“Enough, enough,” Daniel said, grinning. “Both of you can leave before you make me sick.”
Ryan gave him a mock salute, and both of us headed out of the house, as Ryan dropped my suitcase in the trunk of his car. One thing that he didn't know was that I was still planning on working. He wasn't going to check the bottom of my bag anyway.
Daniel was standing outside, with his hands in his pockets. His lips were lifted on one side, as he gave me a small grin.
“You promise to take care of yourself, right?” He asked, and I gave him a small nod. Even if I wasn't going to take care of myself, I was sure that Ryan would want to do that for me more than anything.
“I will,” I said, walking over to him, inhaling his scent that gave me peace. Daniel wrapped his arm around me, kissing my hair.
“You know what to tell mom and dad, right?” I asked, and he nodded quickly.
“And I'll do it in such a way that doesn't make you sound like an inconsiderate bitch for going on a holiday.”
I grinned. He knew the exact words that I was about to say. “Thank you, Daniel,” I said. “Honestly.”
He rolled his eyes slightly. “Go for your staycation. Just be back before my tournament.” I gave him a firm nod.
“I wouldn't miss it for anything. I'll call you when we get there.”
With that, I got into Ryan's car. Everything else happened in a blur, and I could only breathe when I was seated by the window of Ryan's private jet.
“You weren't lying,” I said, smirking at him as he sat opposite me.
He cocked his head to the side. “I never lie to women that I'm in love with, Anna. I just never use the jet. I only bring it out when I need to make pretty women feel better.”
I couldn't stop the blush that was threatening to spill from my cheeks. I distracted myself with the complimentary champagne that the air hostess had served.
Champagne wasn't one of my favorite drinks, but I definitely needed a distraction from the man who was sitting in front of me. I allowed the bubbly liquid to slide down my throat.
Everything was going fine, and things were going to be just fine forever.
“You don't regret doing this with me, right?” Ryan asked as soon as I set my glass down. I gave him a small frown.
“I don't see any reason to regret,” I said, choosing my words wisely. “I can only hope that you don't give me reasons to.”
He smiled. “I just need you to trust me,” he said. There was something behind that statement. Something that made me swallow hard. Something that made me clench my thighs together.
Ryan looked down at my thighs immediately. If he noticed, he didn't say anything.
“Trust you when you do what?” I asked, and he smirked as he pulled me towards him.
I was seated on his lap, and I couldn't deny the fact that it seemed more perfect than it should.
“When I do this,” he whispered as he raised his hand up my thigh, playing with it. I could feel goosebumps on my skin, but I couldn't deny the fact that I loved it. It took a whole lot of self-control not take his hands down to my panties already.
I watched his fingers march up my thigh. He ran his fingers up through my legs, before undoing the button of my jeans. I helped him undo the zip, and he chuckled.
“Eager much?”
You have no idea, I wanted to say.
It's been what? Six years? And I hadn't even gotten the urge once. But here this man was, making me feel everything at once.
His finger played with the hem of my black lace panties. I pressed my ass even harder against his leg. I could hear him curse under his breath.
He pressed his thumb against my center, inhaling sharply as he felt my wetness.
I threw my head back, biting my lips as I tried to keep my moans in.
He gently made me get back on my feet. I could barely stand on my own. Confusion was on my face as I sat down opposite him again.
“Did I do something?” I asked, and he shook his head. I noticed his own growing bulge, and I couldn't help but smirk. I had an effect on him as well.
“I would rather have you in my bed. Not in a plane.”
“I can't wait to get to your house then,” I said before I could even hold myself back.
