Chapter 51 Chapter 51. My Silence Finally Breaks
"Aren’t you afraid I’ll deal with the Valor?"
Her pale neck was choked red by the tight collar. Zoria tilted her head, her icy gaze fixed on Zephyr. Then suddenly, the corner of her lips lifted into a mocking smile.
"Zephyr, haven’t I been obedient enough?" Zoria looked at him, her eyes burning. Tears filled her eyes but refused to fall, because she remembered what he had said.
He had ordered Zoria to be obedient, to listen, not to cry. Otherwise, Evander and her father would both be punished.
"See? You told me not to cry, so I didn’t. You told me to have offspring for you, so I did. Every night you raped me, turned me into your sex slave, your breeding tool."
Her hoarse voice made Zephyr frown. His grip loosened slightly, and he let go of her. With no strength left to resist, Zoria collapsed onto the bed like a torn doll.
Her abdomen still twisted in pain, so intense that Zoria hated her own body.
"Even a sex doll gets washed clean when it gets dirty. And what about me? I am filthy inside and out, a toy you played with until it was ruined, so low and rotten it is falling apart."
Zoria lifted her head to look at Zephyr. "I did what you told me to do, and my father still died. I even miscarried, so whatever my pack owed you, I have paid it all. If you think you can still threaten me with Valor and Evander, then all the more reason for me to cut the bond with you. My mother cut the bond with my father a long time ago. Valor has nothing to do with me anymore. And Evander… I cannot even save myself, so how could I possibly save him?"
There was a time when Zoria had thought that even if she fell into hell, was trampled on, humiliated, treated like some filthy toy unfit for the light, she would still have a father who loved her, who could not bear to see her covered in wounds. But now her father had left her too.
Zephyr stood in front of her. He was too tall. Under the lights, shadows covered his face, making him look dark and terrifying.
Zoria had already made up her mind to cruelly cut the bond with him, and she no longer cared about anyone else.
"Zoria…" Zephyr softly called her name. Zoria opened her eyes and saw pain in his, pain that had nowhere to hide.
Then Zoria laughed again. How could there be pain in Zephyr’s eyes? What could he possibly be hurting over?
Zephyr spoke heavily. "I did not harm your father. He killed himself. It had nothing to do with me. I will not cut the bond with you. And you should stop making excuses to stir up trouble with me."
"Sure. Everything is my fault for causing trouble for no reason. I was wrong. My father died, and even if I pursue it to the end, it is still my fault. It has nothing to do with you."
Zoria continued in a hoarse voice. "I do not want to talk to you anymore. We will see each other in court."
Zephyr clenched his hand into a fist, forcing his anger down. He was truly afraid he would lose control and strangle Zoria to death right there on the hospital bed. No one had ever dared to defy him the way she was doing now.
His mysterious pale violet eyes flashed with danger as his gaze slid from Zoria’s face down to her slender neck.
He reached out and grabbed Zoria by the chin, roughly forcing her mouth open before bending down and taking her tongue. Zoria did not move, letting him violate her. Only when her tongue went numb and started to bleed did Zephyr finally let her go.
"Zoria, I am not done playing with you yet. If I say I will not cut the bond with you, then no court would dare rule otherwise."
His patience was limited. He did not want to hear Zoria talk about cutting the bond again and again. Even if Zoria was not afraid of threats, Zephyr still had countless ways to keep her by his side, bind her beneath his feet, and stop her from running away.
With a loud bang, the door was shoved open from outside. The moment Evander stepped in, he saw Zephyr gripping Zoria’s throat. Evander lunged forward. Before Zephyr could react, Evander punched him to the ground, pinned him down, and then drove his fist straight into his face.
"Zephyr, you animal. Damn it, what did you do to Zoria?"
Zephyr counterattacked fast and brutally. Evander had no ability to fight back at all. Zephyr reached out and clamped a hand around Evander’s throat, twisting as he pressed him down onto the floor.
Zephyr’s grip was like iron pincers, crushing down on Evander’s carotid artery. "I broke your arm last time. Did you forget that lesson already?"
His fingers dug deep into flesh. Evander let out a painful groan, his face flushed red from suffocation.
Zoria wanted to get up and stop them, but then she suddenly realized what could her shattered body possibly do? Even if she truly tried to intervene, Zephyr might not listen to her at all, and might even continue using Evander to threaten her.
She had already told Zephyr that she would not care about anyone else.
"If you want to fight, then go outside and do it. Otherwise, I will go out and leave the room to you." After saying that, Zoria braced herself and sat up from the bed.
Evander knelt on the floor and looked over. When his gaze landed on Zoria’s stomach, he froze. "Zoria, where is your baby?"
Zoria’s body stiffened, her face instantly turning pale.
Evander turned to look at Zephyr, his face twisted with ferocity. He let out a roar, grabbed Zephyr by the collar, and forced himself up from the ground with sheer brute strength.
"Where is Zoria’s baby?"
"What the hell does Zoria’s pup have to do with you?" Zephyr narrowed his eyes at him. When Zoria was pregnant with that bastard whelp, Evander himself had been the one who handled her prenatal checkups.
“Tell me this, where is the seven-month-old baby in Zoria’s womb!” Evander shouted, glaring as he repeated the question.
The corner of Zephyr’s mouth curled into a mocking smile. “Dead.”
