Chapter 49
“ Where is he?”
“ He went to get Riley and Kevin”
“ You're bringing everyone here?”
“Yes, there's enough security here to keep everyone safe”
“Okay ,the minute Greg is back I need him to do something for me”
“ And what is that? ”
“ I needed him to bring Sean to me At your office ”
“Athena no”
“ Daniel, I've been running long enough. I've been afraid and scared long enough. you were the one that got me through it. You're the one that gave me a life ,you're the one that showed me how to live, you're the one that loves me. And I'll be damned to Hell if I let Johnson or his son take that away from me . I've had enough, I've always sat back and let everyone take care of me. I'm not a mean person. I'm not malicious, I'm not hurtful, I'm not spiteful or a vengeful person but now it's too much. All I want to do is live and be happy but they won't ever let me be happy Daniel . So now I will play their game and I will treat them the same way they treated me and for every single female that Sean hurt I will make him pay for it.”
I knew exactly what I was doing. Sean wanted me and Johnson wanted his son. He knew Daniel was the reason for what was happening to him .He had to get Daniel in line So he would do it through me .He would get to me or anyone I cared about, he wanted to play dirty now I would play their game with him.
Daniel
I just looked at her . I couldn't be more fucking proud of her in that moment. .But,I was worried about her because she was pregnant. I couldn't risk anything happening to her or our child . A child we could always have ,but mostly her .I was still deciding whether to give her what she wanted or not . She walked into the room and she came back out in jeans and a t-shirt and a Sneakers .
“Athena ”
“No Daniel this is happening ,whether you want it to or not”
Jesus Christ,I never knew she was this adamant. She was now sitting in the living room with my mom . They weren't saying anything. I saw my dad walk into the apartment followed by Natalie and Cyrus. Then followed by Riley and Kevin and Greg lastly my dad.
He walked over to me.“ Daniel, what's going on?”
So I explained the entire situation to him. Cyrus came over to me .
“How many bodies did they find?”
“Four and apparently Morris said there's more ”
“Jesus Christ”
I saw her stand up.“ Greg I need you to do something for me ”
“Of course Mrs Chase”
“ I need you to bring Sean to me , to Daniel's office ”
Greg looked at me instantly ,so did Cyrus and my dad. I just nodded
“ Okay Mrs Chase”
My dad looked at me .“Daniel, what are you doing?”
“That is what she wants to do ,she knows what she is doing and besides we'll be there ”
She looked at me .“Daniel, you said you had a hacker?”
“ Yes I do”
“ I want him at your office you and Cyrus you're both coming with me ,also you should probably call the FBI agents that called you earlier ”
I looked at her.“ What are you intending to do, Athena? Are you sure about this ?”
“Yes I am , They want me so I'm going to give them what they want . But there's a price to pay. Johnson wants his son; he'll have to come to me to get him. It's either I die, they both die . Before the night is over someone is going to die and it sure as hell is not going to be me”
I looked at them .“ You heard the woman, Dad you'll stay here with mom and the others . Security will be here”
I pulled out my phone and called Christine. “ I need Brandon's number , it's an emergency”
I knew it was already past midnight but still.
“Okay sir I'll send it to you”
A few seconds later she sent it,and I called him.
“Brandon?”
“ Yes, who is this ?”
“Your boss ,I needed you to be at my office as a matter of fact I'm sending someone to get you bring your laptop”.
“Okay sir”
“What else do you need, Athena?”
“Nothing else , let's go ”
My Father walked over to her.“Please be careful Athena ”
“Don't worry Christopher , I will”
Kevin decided he wanted to go with us too. We headed down in the elevator .She was quiet. I just held her hands. Greg had already gone ahead to get Sean so he would meet us there.I had already texted Agent Morris he would meet us there with a few other Agents, so that was set . she would have protection.
Athena
The truth , I was scared as hell but I had to do this. I didn't say anything to Daniel or anyone else. I saw the looks that passed between them. They were wondering if this was the right thing to do . If I was in my right mind, it was worth a shot. When we pulled up to Daniel's building I saw a black SUV with police lights pull up . The Agents stepped out . Then I saw Greg pull up so I stepped out.
Agent Morris stepped over to me .“Mrs Chase, are you sure you know exactly what you're doing'?”
“Agent Morris, I know what I'm doing”
I looked at Greg.“ Take him up to Daniel's office. Make sure he's handcuffed to a chair”
I saw another car pull up with another young man. I looked at Daniel .
“The hacker”
“ Oh good ,let's get started”
We headed up to Daniel's office .Daniel was standing right beside me ,after we got to his office everyone just looked at me. I looked at them.
“ Daniel does your office have cameras?” .
“Yes ”
“Okay Brandon is it ,everything that happens in this office you're going to record it. Are you good at Editing?”
“ Yes I am ,Mrs Chase”
“ Okay Agen Morris you and your Agents, Daniel ,Cyrus ,Kevin you're all to stay out of sight ,it is important that you do .Do you understand me ?”
“Athena? ”
“Just trust me Daniel”
“ Okay”
“ Greg I need your gun ”
“Athena No”
“Daniel, trust me, I'm good with a gun” .Greg handed me his gun. I stepped in front of Sean. I looked at them.
“I want you all to stand behind him. I pulled off this blindfold the minute he saw me he started cursing.I pulled a chair and sat in front of him.
“What's the matter Sean ?Are you still angry with me because of what I told you earlier? It's not a lie ,it's the truth . You heard it yourself ”
“I'm going to fucking kill you Athena I'm going to fucking kill you ”
“Okay go ahead I'm right here”
He tried to stand up and I kicked him back down.“ How does that feel ?doesn't feel good to be picked on and Bullied does it? I brought you here because you and I have something to talk about and you're going to do something for me"
“ I'm not doing shit for you”
“ Oh I believe you will. Now shut the fuck up and listen to me very carefully .I want answers. Did you kill all your ex-girlfriends, yes or no?”
“Why the fuck does it matter whether I killed them or not ?.No one is ever going to find out ,you won't live to tell anyone”
