Chapter 115 Chapter 115
EPILOGUE
\- JANE -
(11 YEARS LATER)
"HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, SWEETHEART!" Keegan said the moment I woke up, wrapping his arms around me and captured my lips into a kiss.
I was startled since of course, I just woke up, but I shook it off and returned his kiss. "Happy anniversary." I said when I pulled away, stretching.
We had arrived at the beach house with our friends and family two days ago. Since it was where our love developed, it held a special place in our heart, so we decided to celebrate our Eleventh wedding anniversary here.
"Guess what I found?" he asked and he had a really bright smile that made me have a good feeling about today already.
"What is it?" You know how much I hate guesses."
He arched his back to pick up something from the floor then placed a box on my lap.
"What is it?" I asked again.
"Just open it." He rolled his eyes at me.
I chuckled and opened the box. There were two more more boxes in it and I took out the first box, it had so many swimsuits in it. "What is this for?" I chuckled.
"Open the second box,"
I opened the second box and it contained so many photos of us at the beach house Eleven years ago when we were at the beach house or the beach shore, holding hands, laughing, eating; in one of the photos Keegan was staring at me with so much admiration in his eyes while I was speaking to some people. I laughed at it. "Where did you find these?"
"It turned out we won the so-called competition back then and you won the best swimsuits, so they gave you so many swimsuits from their brand and were awaiting your response if you were going to be a model for their brand, but I guess it was delivered here after we had gone or we either didn't see it. These pictures are also gifts for winning the award, to cherish our memories here."
"Aw, that's so beautiful. If only I had had these swimsuits back then, I'd have looked damn gorgeous in them but now, they're too small, I've added so much weight." I hissed.
"And you're still damn gorgeous."
"Oh, of course, I know." I smirked at him.
"You have to." He matched my smirk and planted a kiss on the nape of my neck. Even after over a decade, I still always felt tingles from his kisses with butterflies exploding in my stomach.
I let out a low moan when he bit my earlobe and started running his hand up my thighs.
The door was suddenly kicked open and we flinched from each other.
"Mom!" Rylee exclaimed as she stormed to us with a pout, her long ash brown hair, still as silky as ever on her back and shoulders.
"What's wrong, honey?" I wondered.
"You could've waited for only twenty minutes more or even five minutes, but no, you just had to burst into the door without knocking." Keegan scolded her with a frown.
"Keegan," I nudged him with a chuckle.
"I'm sorry, Daddy, but it was an emergency."
"What's your emergency?" I asked.
"I was playing with Sky and Myla when I hit my hand and now it's bleeding." She extended her hand to me and it indeed had a deep scratch.
"Does it hurt so much?"
"Yes. Please heal it now."
"Fine." I held her hand and let the feeling flow from me and in a few seconds, her scratch was covered up and healed.
Over the years, I had developed my healing gifts and was way experienced at it now. I was always unlocking new gifts at different intervals and developing them with Keegan's support. My growth never missed a chance to amaze me. I was just getting stronger by the day and the pack members loved me and claimed that I was the best Luna they could ever ask for.
"Thank you!" She wrapped her arms around me and kissed my cheek before pulling away and turned to meet Keegan, leaning her body's weight onto one side with her eyebrows drawn together. "Are you forgetting something?" She said, rolling her heterochromic blue and amber eyes.
"How would I? Happy birthday, baby." He kissed her forehead.
"Happy birthday, Rylee."
"Thank you!" She chuckled. "Please come now, I have something to show you." She tugged at Keegan's hand.
"What is it?" He asked with a smile.
"Just come. It's a secret until you see it." She had a proud grin on.
"Fine. Grab my shirt." He said and she quickly hurried to grab a gray shirt for him from the wardrobe then handed it over to him.
After slipping on the shirt, he was pulled out of the house by Rylee, just stealing my husband's attention from him.
If you're wondering, that Rylee's our 10-year old daughter, today made it exactly eleven years since Rylee died. We had Rylee Gray exactly a year after Rylee died, on our 1-year anniversary, of course, we named her after Rylee to honor Rylee.
It was also eleven years since Kate and Stefan had died. I had thought Keegan was going to be mad at me for killing his mother but he was very supportive and though it made me feel strange for a while, I was able to get rid of the thought after a dream of Rylee being fully content that I had carried out revenge on her behalf.
I rolled out of bed and headed to the bathroom for a quick bath before getting into a maxi dress and tied my wavy ash hair into a high ponytail.
I left the beach house and the first person I bumped into was Myla and Sky, Mae and Casper's 9-year-old twin daughters.
"Hey Myla, hey Sky. Where's your Mom?" I asked, just in time for Mae to head over to us holding her 5-year-old son, Robert, in her hands.
"Jeez, these children are so stubborn. Get to your room and have a bath right this instant!" she ordered, frowning at them.
"Yes Mom." They said with their head hung low and held their brother to leave with them.
I chuckled and she pulled me into a hug. "Happy anniversary, babe."
"Thank you." I grinned.
"You're looking damn gorgeous, uh? What's popping?" she wiggled her eyebrows at me and I rolled my eyes.
"Where's Scarlett and others?"
"In the general living room of our beach house."
"Okay. Let's head to them." I said and She curled her arm around mine and led me to the large beach house they all agreed to share since it had multiple bedrooms that was enough for them and their children."
We met Ariella, Shane's daughter by the doorstep as Shane and Scarlett stepped out.
"Dad!" Ariella exclaimed and pulled Shane into a hug.
"I didn't think you'd make it here." He said, hugging her back.
"Me neither." Scarlett added.
"Mom," she pulled away from Shane to hug her. "Now it feels strange calling you that." She said and they both chuckled. It was obviously going to seem strange since Ariella was now 22 years old and Scarlett, her step mother, was only eight years older than her.
"Jane, why are you standing still like a chicken? Get in here, there's so much to do." Scarlett said as she pulled apart from Ariella's hug.
I chuckled and sauntered to them.
"Hi Luna Jane." Ariella also hugged me.
"Hey. How has college been?" I asked when she stopped hugging me.
"Of course it'd be perfect." Mae said and I rolled my eyes at her, she always believed Ariella was going to have the best time at college since she was currently attending hers and Ava's college.
Nadia, Scarlett and Shane's 4-year-old daughter, came out to welcome Ariella, as well as Shaun, their extremely stubborn 10-year- old son and future Beta (turns out Scarlett had been pregnant during the fights at Dark Stone pack and she had no idea because she thought a 'one-time sex' couldn't just produce a child).
"I missed these little pumpkins." Ariella crouched to pull them into a joint hug.
"I'm not a pumpkin, but I missed you too, Sis." Shaun hugged her back.
"Can we all head inside? My legs hurt." Mae said.
"Old woman," I teased her then we all walked in.
Sabrina, Chloe, and Ava were cooking in the kitchen with Brianna, one of Ava and Evan's 8-year old triplets while Evan was attending to something I didn't care about with Dylan and Charlie, their other two of the triplets.
"Hey Luna Jane," Evan waved. "Happy Wedding anniversary!"
"Thank you." I replied with a warm smile.
"Where's Rylee?" Shaun asked as he walked over to Evan and picked a card up. "We're making a birthday card for her. Hopefully, she'll see my effort and finally agree to marry me."
"Not in your wildest dreams will I let my best friend marry such an arrogant rat." Myla said with a roll of her eyes as she walked down the stairs in a towel and had soap bubbles still on her wet hair. How could she have bathed so quickly?
"I bet you didn't bother to take a look at yourself in the mirror and you're probably just jealous." He scoffed.
"Jealous?" She huffed. "Whatever makes you sleep at night." Rylee walked into the building with Keegan and Vladimir behind her.
"I could hear both of you arguing outside. Will you ever shut up?" She rolled her eyes.
"Oh, my princess and future Alpha, Happy birthday Rylee." Shaun said and went on a knee, pointing the card at Rylee.
We all burst into laughter and everyone echoed, "Happy birthday Rylee."
"Thank you, thank you." She nodded then gently pushed Shaun away. "Get out, you weirdo." She laughed. "Where's Chloe?" Vladimir asked.
"She's in the kitchen. Missing your beautiful Luna already?" I asked with a smirk and he returned the smirk before heading over to Chloe and kissed her.
They were such cute couples as well and as much as they loved and wanted to have their own child, they were unable to have a child for eleven years now. It clearly broke Chloe and she'd cry so many times, but he was always very supportive of her and let her know that they were going to keep trying and not let their childlessness affect their love or their pack.
They had grown Night Shadow pack to be way stronger than before and much better. Our packs had both grown very well, and because their brotherly love was alive again, both packs were almost tagged as one pack with two Alphas because of the unity.
Mason finally came downstairs with a fully-dressed Kyle Kentwood, his and Crystal's 11-year-old son.
He had been missing from the pack for 9 months, eleven years ago, till he finally returned with Kyle. We had already found out that Crystal died while giving birth to Kyle-my heart had broken so much to know that- but we didn't know why he left. He had returned with Sabrina's help.
Though Sabrina clearly still liked him, his heart was still Crystal's, but lately, it seemed like he had been trying to give Sabrina a chance and Kyle really liked her as his replacement mother. Kyle also clearly missed Crystal. He had so many photos of her as memories and had been caught many times crying with or without Mason over his late mother.
"Regardless of your nonsense, Shaun, Rylee and I have agreed to get married, so stop trying too hard." Kyle said and headed over to them.
"If y'all don't head here now to this kitchen to help us out, I'll rip your eyes out of their sockets!" Ava threatened and we chuckled at her before a few of us left to assist her in cooking for the mini-party we were going to have while the children continued with their unnecessary bickering over who belonged to who.
We had planned to celebrate at the beach shore with very loud music. There were two sections, one was for the children where they displayed so many cakes, gifts, a large sign that read 'Happy Birthday, Rylee Gray', birthday hats, and fun children activities. We had also invited random children at other beach houses to make it more fun.
In our section, there was also a glowing sign that read 'HAPPY WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!' We had so many drinks and loud music to enjoy ourselves.
We were all seated around a large circular table with our food, drinks, cakes and more items on the table.
"I can't believe it's already eleven years." Mae said, passing a drink to me and I accepted it.
Keegan sat beside me, planting a kiss on my cheek.
"Me neither." I said and took a chug of the glass. "Don't get drunk, Jane." Ava teased and I rolled my eyes at her.
Despite the fact that I couldn't get drunk again after having Vera, they never missed a chance to tease me about it. "I can't believe I used to hate you." Shane said to me and I chuckled.
"Yes, and you still never told me the reason behind it." Scarlett nudged him.
"I guess I never will." He said with a lopsided smile. "Isn't it strange that all of us around this table have all been caught up in a strange love triangle or the other?" Mae said and I glanced around and nodded, probably just paying attention to that for the first time.
"Definitely strange." I said and we both laughed.
I noticed Mom and Dad walking to us with flowers in Mom's hands.
"Happy anniversary, sweetheart." Dad said and I rose to my feet to hug them.
"Thank you."
"Happy anniversary." Mom handed the flowers over to us. "We're sorry we're late. Don was being dramatic again." She cast a glare at Dad and he laughed.
"It's fine. Thank you." Keegan said and chuckled. "We'll have to wish our granddaughter a happy birthday." Mom said and they left to meet Rylee. Mom and Dad had also merged with Dark Stone pack. Their entire town of witches and rogues were now a part of Dark Stone pack, a very great cooperation with Mom, Dad, and Grandmother being elders of Dark Stone with such high status.
Darion, oh yeah, that dude, he had been so broken to find out that he wasn't going to be my second chance mate, so he had to leave to a town really far away, and for Freya, since she left, she hadn't returned and we had no idea of where she was till who knows when?
I glanced at Vladimir and Chloe as they were whispering something into each other's ears.
"Suspicious conversation going on there, uh?" I asked with my eyes drawn in askance at them.
Chloe chuckled and her lips were spread apart into a wide grin. "I guess it's time to break the news to you." She cleared her throat and my heart started pounding really fast as I hoped it was the news I had been waiting for. "We're pregnant!" She announced and screams of joy filled the table. "Congratulations!" I stood to pull her into a hug.
"Congratulations, bro. I'm so happy for you." Keegan also hugged Vladimir then turned to Chloe. "Congratulations, Luna Chloe." He hugged her as well.
Everyone else congratulated them and the party was just filled with even more joy.
I was extremely tired from the day's long activity and sat on the bench in the porch, waiting for Keegan to be done with attending to whatever he had to attend to.
When Keegan returned, he sat beside me. "Rylee is having a sleepover with the girls, so we have all the night to ourselves," he said and curled an arm around me.
"That's good." I grinned.
We maintained silence, just gazing into each other's eyes with so much love and admiration.
"I love you so much." I said.
"I love you too, even more. I love you with my whole heart, life, body, soul." He said and I cut him off with a chuckle before drawing him into a soft kiss
I felt the hair on my skin rise from the goosebumps that accompanied his kiss.
"The perfect omega to Luna switch." I chuckled, resting my head on his shoulder and intertwined our fingers.
"Yes, perfect one. I'm so glad you came into my life and didn't succeed in running away out of my arrogance.
"I still deeply apologize for whatever way I had mistreated you. I know you've forgiven me, but sometimes, I still feel really guilty and stupid because it wasn't necessary."
"It's fine. You were just letting your mother get into your head." When I mentioned that, it made a frown form on my face as a strange for of sadness slid into me. "I miss Rylee. Though our Rylee has a lot of her personalities and characteristics, I just wish she hadn't left us."
"I'm sure it's all for the best. She must be very happy where she is with Crystal." He circled his thumb around my palm.
"I guess you're right." I nodded against his shoulders.
There was silence between us again as we enjoyed being snuggled close to each other, as he stroked me lovingly.
"I'm glad we're finally happy again and everything is going on smoothly in all our lives. I promise to keep being a good mate and Luna to you and our pack and to love you and Rylee forever." "I will also love you forever, I'll never stop mentioning it, my queen, the mother of my child and my pack, my strong Luna." He kisses my forehead.
We gazed ahead as we watched the sunset, enjoying the view of the beautiful hues of colors in the sky. The rhythm of the breeze just made everything more perfect as I picked my mug of tea to sip from it, enjoying the blissfulness of being in his arms, a position I was going to remain in forever.
\-(THE END)
Thanks a lot for reading this book until the end. I love you so much for that.
