Chapter 84: You Deserve It for Being Arrogant!
There was only one class in the afternoon. When Rebecca went upstairs, she could still hear the noisy chatter from the classroom. But as soon as she walked in, someone shushed, and everyone in the room either looked up or turned around, falling silent all at once.
Knowing they must have been talking about that hot post on the forum, Rebecca kept her cool and found a seat to sit down.
The professor coming to teach laughed as soon as he entered, "Usually you chat so loud you could lift the roof off, but today's surprisingly quiet. I hope you keep this up and stay this quiet from now on."
"Don't worry, Professor, we'll definitely be quiet for a while."
"That's right..."
Several gazes shot over from both sides, and laughter came from the back rows.
Rebecca didn't need to turn around to know everyone was looking at her.
The implication was clear: as long as the forum post stayed hot, she would always be the center of gossip.
So as long as she was there, the classroom would definitely be quiet.
Rebecca pretended not to notice, opened her textbook following the professor's lead, and stayed focused as always.
In the back row, Jessica's smugness was practically overflowing from her eyes.
'Let's see how long you can keep up this act!' she thought.
Ever since that post went up, whether in the cafeteria or dorms, everyone was talking about those photos in the post.
Jessica alone had heard countless nasty comments with her own ears.
Things had clearly spiraled beyond Rebecca's control. If this continued, the school wouldn't just stand by—they would definitely step in.
Although she didn't know who had helped Rebecca transfer to Star Apartments, it wasn't done through proper channels, and the school administration would figure out the problem as soon as they investigated.
And those embarrassing photos of Rebecca—there was no way she could explain them away.
Whether or not she had gone begging to sleep with someone, people had seen it and made up their minds. That was that.
Could she really post something saying she didn't sleep with anyone?
Who would believe that?
Just thinking about how soon Rebecca would be slinking back with her suitcase, whether to 619 or the fifth-floor dorm she used to live in.
Wherever she ended up, the day she moved back would be the day Rebecca lost all face at Empire University.
She might even get a disciplinary action!
Looking at Rebecca's back in the front row, Jessica could already picture her looking completely humiliated and pathetic.
Jessica lowered her head, hiding the smile on her lips.
'That's what you get for being so arrogant. You deserve it!' she thought.
After a while, remembering that Dennis had told her to report anything about Rebecca, Jessica pulled out her phone and sent Dennis the forum link.
A few minutes later, Dennis replied on Facebook: [Come find me at Blue Bar tonight.]
Blue Bar?
Jessica rubbed her eyes.
That's right, it was Blue Bar!
Jessica had never been to Blue Bar, but she'd heard long ago that it was the most luxurious and classy bar in Empire City.
No one had invited her, and going alone felt weird, so in over two years in Empire City, Jessica had never been there.
And today, with just one sentence from Dennis, she had the chance to go.
She couldn't tell which was more exciting—getting to see Dennis or finally having the chance to go to Blue Bar. Maybe both.
Jessica didn't hear a word the professor on the podium said.
Her mind was completely occupied with what outfit to wear for tonight's date.
In the Vice Principal's office at Empire University's academic building, seeing Floyd claim to be Rebecca's lawyer and hand over a list full of IDs, names, departments, and ID numbers.
The Vice Principal's face changed instantly.
