Chapter 215 Daring and Action-Oriented Young People
The Azure Water Bay exhibition hall is a high-end venue in Empire City.
Anyone who can hold a private exhibition here must have either talent or power, and most have both.
When Rebecca arrived at the exhibition entrance, dozens of bodyguards in black suits and white gloves stood outside the security checkpoint.
People entering the hall not only had to show their invitations but also store their personal belongings and submit to inspection by the bodyguards. In short, no phones or cameras with recording functions were allowed inside.
Rebecca's bag contained nothing but her phone and a few personal items, so she quickly stored her bag and passed through security.
Almost as soon as she entered, she was overwhelmed by what she saw.
Inside the maze-like exhibition hall, each designer's work was separated into its own section.
On the white walls were the designers' personal profiles.
In the display cases along the walls, all those colorful, sparkling gems were the designers' creations.
Blue diamonds, deep and captivating.
Pink diamonds, romantic and elegant.
Black obsidian, profound and understated.
And all the gemstones had been designed and crafted into their most enchanting forms.
Though screens divided the space, gasps of amazement could still be heard from time to time. But Rebecca seemed not to hear them, her eyes and heart filled only with those brilliantly talented works before her.
When the host's voice rang out from the bright central area, Rebecca had just reached the last display case.
"Welcome to all our visitors. It's an honor for our Shiny Studio to hold such a jewelry exhibition at Azure Water Bay... Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Gavin Davis, one of the founders of Shiny Studio and today's host."
The exhibition hall was arranged in a square layout. Looking back, she could see a stage and a large screen set up in the center.
Single sofas were placed facing the screen, and guests were already taking their seats.
Thinking she'd sneak over and sit in the back row later, Rebecca continued looking down at the pieces in the display case before her.
A complete set of jewelry made from rubies, named "Longing."
Both the design and the name stood out among all the works.
Rebecca studied it carefully, making sure to pay special attention to the designer's personal profile.
Gavin.
Rebecca looked back toward the stage at that handsome and witty young man who was now speaking eloquently.
When applause rang out again, Rebecca turned and walked toward the screen area, bending down to sit in a corner of the back row.
"Shiny Studio was established three months ago as the first step for five young, talented designers to realize their personal dreams. We're here today for two purposes. First, we ask for your generous guidance; second, this is also a way to advertise our Shiny Studio..."
"To this end, we've carefully designed a small voting activity. For all the works displayed in the hall, please cast your vote for the piece you like most or admire most."
"The winning designer will present everyone with a beautiful small gift. We hope that one day, this small gift might become a small collectible."
As soon as Gavin finished speaking, whispers filled the exhibition hall.
"So this gift is a piece personally designed by the designer?"
"Shiny's designers are really generous!"
"Young people today are incredible—they dare to think and dare to do. They're really putting us older folks to shame."
Amazement.
Praise.
Self-deprecation.
The atmosphere was warm and friendly.
With different preferences, everyone made different choices.
Some chose the black obsidian jewelry set in the center position, finding it imposing.
Others selected the "Siren" set made from blue diamonds.
Still others looked conflicted.
Below the stage, people were voting.
On the big screen above, votes were being tallied.
When it came to Rebecca's turn, the entire hall fell silent.
