Chapter 166 You Beg Me

Chapter 166 You Beg Me

"Show some self-respect?"

As if he'd heard a hilarious joke, Dennis looked at Rebecca with mocking eyes and asked, "When you hooked up with Frederick and slept with him, why didn't you think about self-respect then?"

Rebecca's expression shifted slightly.

Dennis took a step forward, his gaze stubborn. "Rebecca, we've been together for so many years. You wouldn't let me kiss you or touch you, and I put up with it! I treated you like a saint, held you in the palm of my hand. And you? You turned around and hooked up with Frederick, trampling my dignity into the ground."

Not many people in Empire City's elite circles knew about Frederick and Rebecca's marriage.

But the Windsor family's close relatives all knew about it crystal clear.

The Windsor family was large and wealthy, with many branch family members too.

During this time, at home, at bars, at social gatherings... whenever he ran into relatives, their eyes were full of excitement and curiosity when they looked at him.

The elders were better—mindful of their status, they'd make a few teasing remarks at most.

But those of his generation, under the guise of concern and comfort, would say things like "Dennis, what's really going on between you and Rebecca?" and "Did you piss Rebecca off badly? Otherwise, she wouldn't play you like this." After a few sentences, they'd all zero in on the same target: "Have you even kissed her?"

He'd smashed several phones and gotten drunk multiple nights.

When he sobered up again, Dennis suddenly felt like his former self was an idiot!

Never mind that he and Rebecca were already engaged—even if they were just boyfriend and girlfriend, if Rebecca refused with a cold face, he could've coaxed and tricked her into sleeping with him. What could she have done about it?

Would he be feeling this frustrated now?

"So how is it, Rebecca? Frederick's got good stamina, right? How many times a night? Can you handle it?"

Staring at Rebecca intently, Dennis said the most humiliating things he could think of. "So back then you just thought it wasn't exciting enough, huh? You should've said so earlier. I could've found people to..."

The crisp sound of a slap echoed through the corridor. Rebecca flexed her stinging, numb hand and looked at Dennis with icy eyes. "You're disgusting!"

For a moment, Rebecca felt like she was watching a movie.

How could this be so absurd?

She knew people could change, but how could they change like this?

The Dennis she knew was flashy, a playboy, and aside from having no ambition, his character was fine.

But after breaking off the engagement, Dennis had become so unfamiliar that she felt like she'd never known him at all.

Him in the penthouse suite at The Skyline Grand Hotel, looking at her with disdain.

Him in the private room at Blue Bar, blessing her while slipping something into her drink.

And now, him standing before her, humiliating her to the extreme.

She used to think childhood sweethearts were the most beautiful thing.

But now, Rebecca just felt embarrassed.

Taking a few steps back, Rebecca said coldly, "Dennis, after last time, you should know that there's no possibility of us getting along peacefully anymore. So please, stay away from me and stay away from my mother!"

With that, Rebecca turned to leave.

Behind her came Dennis's cold laugh. "Fine... then next time your mom calls me, I'll tell her we've already broken off the engagement, and you've married Frederick!"

Rebecca spun around abruptly.

Dennis smiled. "Did I say something wrong? Have we not broken off the engagement? Or have you not married Frederick?"

Knowing Alexa was Rebecca's weak spot, Dennis slowly walked forward, leaning close to Rebecca. "I heard Mrs. Getty has been doing much better lately? Rebecca, what do you think—if she found out, would she go even crazier than before?"

Rebecca instinctively turned her head away.

Dennis's lips slid past her cheek and landed by her ear.

"Rebecca, I'm a very soft-hearted person, you know that..."

A flash of anger crossed his eyes as Dennis said in a low voice, "How about you beg me? Maybe then..."
