Chapter 330 A new Guide

Chapter 330 A new Guide
"I don't think Xylia is going to agree to come and sit in the same room as the rest of the family," Ailive spoke in a whisper.

"She is going to have to put on her big girl panties and get over here. I know that this family can be mean, but she should know we all love her." Lindaat told her sister with a sigh. "That sounds horrible, but you died for her, and I almost died for her. Why can't she at least take time to see us? It's beyond me."

"Lindaat she isn't even speaking to anyone in the family," Rayne explained with a sigh. "Not even me."

"You're her mother, why won't she speak to you?" Lindaat didn't understand why Xylia was being like this. She did understand the feeling of being mistreated. The thing is, how can they even try to make things right?

"I wasn't a very good mother to her, it would seem." Rayne felt tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Rayne, we all did wrong. If she would give us a chance to make things better, it would help."  Aameris felt horrible about it all. "It doesn't help that she doesn't believe we looked for her over the past two years."

"Alright, instead of talking about this, how about we send a letter inviting her to come to the clearing she loves so much. We can have a picnic with the family. That way, she can see that we are trying to be there for her. With everything that happened, I don't see why she was so upset with the family. At the same time, I see why she would think we didn't look for her." Lindaat suggested with a bright smile. "We have to send letters to Mom and Dad, along with the others. I have to speak to Luciean as well. The goddess wanted me to help him."

"I will send the letters." Rayne stood, heading out of the room to write the letters to the family. "I hope they will all come."

"You need to rest, so I am going to go and read." Ailive hugged her sister and then headed out of the room.

"Little light, I worry that this party isn't a great idea for you this soon." Aameris looked worried when he spoke to her.

"The goddess is supposed to be sending someone to help me," Lindaat explained to him. "I would hope I would fry my family."

"She said she would send someone?" Aameris didn't like this idea at all.

"Yes, after I struck her. She knew she couldn't keep me there. So she said she would send me someone to help me." Lindaat didn't know what to think about any of it.

"We will have to keep an eye out for this person." Aameris hugged her and then left the room.

"Do you think the goddess is really going to send someone to help you?" Telraamon asked as he put the rest of the cups on the table.

"I have a feeling she will. You didn't see the fear in her eyes as I did. If you had told me I would scare the goddess, I would have laughed my ass off." Lindaat sighed as she sat on the bed. "Man, I am tired."

"I'll leave you alone so you can sleep." Telraamon stood up, about to leave.

"Don't leave me, please." Lindaat pulled him back on the bed. "We don't have to do anything, but can you please stay with me?"

"You know I will stay, but sleep on the top of the blankets." Telraamon helped her to lie back down on the bed. He crossed to the other side to lie beside her.

Lindaat got as close to him as she could with the blankets on her and not on him. He didn't seem to mind holding her close, letting her fall into a deep sleep. Telraamon held her close, watching as she slept. He didn't want to lose her again. When he closed his eyes, it was almost an instant sleep that took him. A moment later, he opened his eyes, and he wasn't in the room any longer. He looked around, seeing a meadow with a large tree in the center. A woman stood by the tree looking toward him with worry in her eyes.

"I'm not awake, am I?" Telraamon asked as he walked toward her.

"No, you aren't awake. I have been searching for someone who can help Lindaat with her new powers. No one in my mind will be able to guide her. She won't allow many close after everything that happened. I thought about Willow, but her goddess wouldn't be happy about me offering that to her. I looked into a few others that might have been able to help her, but in the long term, they wouldn't be able to help her. You, however, can help her in ways that even I can't. So I shall bestow on you the gift of power; this power will be to help Lindaat to control her. This power won't be more than her's, just enough to help control it. Also, I know that you two will wed." She smiled brightly at the thought. "I know that you love her and she loves you, but you haven't gotten to that yet. Keep to that path, help her to get this gathering to work. It is the only hope for the family."

"Wait." Telraamon put his hand out to stop the goddess, but she had already vanished.

"Are you alright?" Lindaat asked when he screamed in his sleep.

"I think so." Telraamon looked into her eyes and could see the pool of power in her.

"You screamed!" Lindaat was worried about him, but he looked all right, just a little off. "Did something happen?"

Lindaat sat up on the bed watching him as he sat up with her. Light was pouring into the room, making her blink twice. They had slept through the night, which was strange for her.

"The goddess has decided to make me your guide," Telraamon explained to her. "She also said we have to get this gathering to work."

"We can try, but no telling if they will all come to the party," Lindaat told him, then sighed. "Are you sure you want to be my guide?"

"If it means I get to stay with you, I would do anything she asked." Telraamon smiled brightly at her. "Besides, she has ideas."

Lindaat laughed when he spoke this time. Then stopped when she saw the look in his eyes. Maybe the goddess had decided that she needed him in her life. That he could help her in ways that she didn't think anyone else could. Lindaat didn't laugh again; instead, she stepped close to him, kissing him deeply. They broke apart when someone knocked on the door.

"Come in." Lindaat called out.

"I have sent out letters to the family for the gathering," Rayne said as she walked into the room to See Lindaat and Telraamon standing by the bed. "So you two.."

"Grandma!!!!" Lindaat groaned as she looked down at her flushed face.
