Chapter 170: BONUS CHAPTER( SERAFFIM AND DARIUS)
Third POV

Everyone was gathered in the dining hall of the palace, it was a sent off dinner for Seraffim and Darius.

After her book of adventure became very famous in the human world, Julian suggested she come check out the world and even have book signing events with her fans.

Seraffim had never thought so many could be interested in her but hearing this, she got excited and persuaded her husband so they could set off.

Darius, who could never deny his wife anything agreed to her request and as such, the friendly dinner they were having.

At the head of the table sat Seraffim and Darius, preparing for their journey to the human and werewolf worlds.

"You absolutely have to try something called 'pizza,'" Lyra was saying, gesturing enthusiastically. She can't thank her husband enough for learning how to make human dishes that he makes for her every time.

“ What's that?” Seraffim asked, attentively, taking note in her head to try everything that Lyra was recommending.

"It's like a flat bread with cheese and tomatoes and meat all together and trust me, it's very revolutionary."

"And chocolate," Sarai added. Still remembering how Garius gave her chocolate a few weeks ago but because of greed and how sweet it was, she ate the ones she kept for Seraffim.

"Human chocolate is different from ours. You have to bring some back too, please,” She begged, making her eyes go big.

Seraffim's heart easily went to her, to her Sarai was like a cute adorable baby. “ You know, I will bring anything for you,” she said, gently touching her nose.

"Also, coffee drink," Tivel said, from where she was sitting with her husband. "Vavous says it's amazing and jolts you awake if you are feeling weak."

Seraffim laughed, overwhelmed by all the suggestions. "How am I supposed to remember all of this?"

"Tell your husband to write it down," Garius suggested. He was teasing Darius. "Unless your mate is too busy carrying you around to help you take notes."

Everyone laughed. "I can carry her and hold a pen," Darius said dryly. Ever the serious one but there was amusement in his eyes.

Ragel raised his cup. "To Seraffim and Darius. May your journey be safe. May you return with stories to tell. And may you always find your way back to us."

"To Seraffim and Darius," everyone echoed.

They drank and laughed late into the night, sharing stories and memories, celebrating the adventures that awaited.

The next morning, Julian arrived with three large carriages full of supplies to the elder Elenibaker home.

But more importantly, he brought stylists and clothes consultants from the human world.

"You can't go looking like that," Julian said, gesturing to Seraffim's traditional Underworldlian gown. "You'll stand out too much. We need to get you dressed in human fashion."

Seraffim looked nervous, looking at Lyra, everyone could see she was instantly second guessing her decision.

"Come on," Lyra said, taking her hand. "Let's pick you something to wear."

They went into a private chamber where the stylists had laid out dozens of outfits.

Lyra held up a pair of baggy pants and a very beautiful halter shirt.

"This one," Lyra said confidently. "It's perfect."

Sarai took one look and burst out laughing.

"Your Majesty," she said through her laughter, "you truly do not know about fashion. It's no wonder the king always designs your clothes."

Everyone in the room giggled.

Lyra's cheeks flushed. "I like what I like."

"Of course you do and it's not bad," Ragel said from the other room, where he was sitting with Darius as he was getting his hair trimmed and dyed to black because Julian said a white hair with red eyes would stand out too much. "And I also enjoy making your clothes. But let the stylist help Seraffim this time."

Lyra smiled at her mate. "Fineee… anyway, I don't mind you making my clothes, one more less decision to think about."

As they were still talking, Sarai picked out a beautiful mid-length off-shoulder blue gown for Seraffim. It was elegant but also suitable for travel.

"This," Sarai said. "This will be perfect for you, Seraffim."

Seraffim took it and put it on, all the stylists gasped because the gown was indeed perfection on her.

With her blue eyes and her creamy skin, the color complemented her and made her dazzle.

"You look stunning," one of them said. "The color complements your skin. Blue is your color."

Another stylist brought out shoes, they suggested she went for flats but Seraffim picked a pair of heels, they were delicate woven with butterfly and also sparkly.

Seraffim had never worn anything like them. She put them on and immediately started shaking.

"You can't walk in those," Lyra said, trying to help pick another. But Seraffim refused.

"Yes, I can," She said. "It will just take a little bit of more practice."

Seraffim stood up and wobbled immediately. “ Uhm… I think Lyra is right, you shouldn't wear those,” Sarai said, looking concerned because of the grimacing expression on Seraffim's face.

"No," she said stubbornly. "If human women can wear these, then so can I. I will wear them too. I'm not going to look weak."

"You're not weak," Darius said, appearing in the doorway. "Come here."

She walked toward him, shaking slightly in the heels. He caught her as she nearly fell and pulled her close.

"I've got you," he whispered softly. "Just lean on me."

"Thank you," Seraffim said, her eyes filled with gratitude. "I can do this!” She said more to herself than him.

All through the day, they made preparations until the day of their departure came the next morning.

Seraffim wore the blue gown and the heels, her hand linked through Darius's arm as she carefully planned each step.

Julian was in the carriage which were actually cars that turned that way, when they crossed the portals to Salvatore.

Lyra hugged Seraffim first. "Come back safe," she whispered. "And bring stories."

"I will," Seraffim promised.

Tivel hugged her next, laughing. "Those heels better not kill you."

"They might," Seraffim said, smiling. "But I'll survive."

Sarai was crying as she embraced her friend. They had come so far together. "Be happy," Sarai said. "You deserve it."

"I will be," Seraffim said. "I'm so happy right now, Sarai." They hugged and cried a little and then pulled apart with the stylist telling her not to ruin her makeup.

The servants loaded the last of the luggage into the carriage while Darius helped Seraffim inside, supporting her as she maneuvered in the heels that were killing her feet.

Seraffim waved from the window. "We'll be back in a year. Maybe less if I hated the heels more than I do right now.”

Everyone laughed and the carriage began to move.

Lyra and Ragel stood together, arms around each other.

Sarai and Garius held Arianna up so she could wave.

Tivel and Vavous stood hand in hand with Zila waving with so much vigor and a smile.

They watched the carriage disappear down the road, heading toward the human portal.

"They'll be fine," Sarai said softly, more to herself than anyone.

"Yes they will," Garius agreed. "Darius would never let anything happen to her."

As they turned to go back inside, Ragel pulled Lyra close and kissed her forehead.

"Ready to return to the palace?" he asked.

"Always," she said.

And as the sun rose over Salvatore, the kingdom went back into its peaceful rhythm, waiting for the return of one of its most beloved grand lords and his princess.
