Chapter 169: BONUS CHAPTER(SARAI AND GARIUS)
~Third POV~
Sarai was on her back, her body still trembling from the intensity of her orgasm.
Garius was still sheathed inside her, breathing hard against her neck.
"That was..." she started to say.
But her eyes were already closing. The pleasure had been so intense, and overwhelming, that her body simply shut down.
She passed out completely, her body going limp beneath him.
Garius froze.
"Sarai?" he called softly.
She didn't respond.
For a moment, panic flooded through him. But he could feel through the bond that she was fine. Just sleeping and exhausted from pleasure.
He gently pulled out of her and rolled to the side, pulling her close to his chest.
He had never felt anything like this before. The way she responded to him and the way her body gave everything to him.
It just fills her heart with much love and adoration for her. He held her through the night, his hand on her heart, feeling it beat steadily beneath his palm.
The morning after, Sarai's eyes opened slowly.
She was pressed against Garius's chest, his arms wrapped around her protectively.
"Good morning," Garius murmured, his voice full of amusement.
"What happened?" Sarai asked groggily because the last thing she remembers was him inside her.
"You passed out," he supplied the answers, her brain couldn't give her. "And it was right after you came so bad on my cock. You literally passed on my dick, was it that good? Hmm?"
Garius teased, with a smile on his face, gently rubbing his hand on her thighs. Sarai's face turned bright red.
"I did not," she said, but she could feel the heat in her cheeks.
"You did baby," Garius said. He was smiling more widely against her hair. "You came so hard you couldn't stay conscious. I have to say, it's good for my ego."
"Stop," Sarai said, burying her face in his chest.
"Never," Garius said. He kissed the top of her head. "I'm going to remind you of this moment every day for the rest of your life. Or maybe I will be fucking you this goot everyday, you could you pass like this.”
“ Ahh… you are a pervert, Garius.”
He threw his head back and laughed loudly filling the room. “ Only a pervert for you, vixen.”
“ We need to leave soon, Garius,” Sarai said in a small voice. Garius did an mmhh but stood up knowing this was important to her.
They went to have their bath and got dressed quickly. Today was a very important day.
Sarai wore a flowing red gown that matched her fire nature. Her dark skin shone brightly with aromatic Jasmine oil that Garius personally made for her.
Garius wore black ceremonial robes, his white hair was pulled back by Sarai and four pieces were braided and left flowing.
As Sarai was adjusting her dress, Garius came up behind her and kissed her neck, right where his mark was branded.
"Mine," he said possessively, nuzzling the spot. "Maybe you shouldn't wear this gown since it would be covering my mark, every male needs to see it and stay away from you.”
"It's a book launch, not a claiming ceremony," Sarai said, but she smiled.
"Doesn't matter," Garius said. He kissed the mark again. "Everyone needs to know you belong to me."
They arrived at the venue together. And Sarai's eyes went wide. The place was enormous, and packed with people.
There were nobles from different multiple kingdoms. Foreigners she didn't recognize.
The human male Julian was there with Seraffim, showing her how to sign books.
"How did this happen?" Sarai whispered to Garius.
"The queen introduced them," Garius said. "Julian taught Seraffim about publishing books the way they do in the human world. Apparently, the new style is revolutionary and everyone wants a copy of her work. I even heard her book was quite famous in the human world."
Sarai smiled with pride at her friend, she was truly happy for her. Seraffim was glowing, signing books, talking to readers.
This was her dream made real, she never thought it was going to happen or be possible. A princess becoming a writer but she made it possible.
Across the room, Sarai spotted Tivel. At first she barely recognized her. The servant girl who used to hide in the shadows was standing beside Lord Vavous in a beautiful lilac gown.
Her hair was styled elegantly. She was smiling and talking to people without flinching.
But what caught Sarai's attention was the way Vavous clinged to her and hung on every she said like she was the only person in the room.
A foreign nobleman approached Tivel, trying to engage her in conversation but before he could get close, Vavous marked his territory.
His hand went to Tivel's waist, pulling her against his side possessively.
The man took one look at Vavous's glowering expression and backed away immediately.
Tivel didn't seem scared by his protectiveness. Instead, she reached up and kissed Vavous's cheek, her eyes full of affection.
"Your uncle is so jealous," Sarai said to Garius, laughing.
"Can't blame him," Garius said. He pulled her closer. "I would be too or maybe worse."
Garius gets dragged away by little Zila and he lives. Sarai was alone getting a drink when Tivel appeared beside her.
"Can you believe this?" Tivel asked. Smiling at the lady that has now become a close friend. "A year ago, I was hiding in the shadows. Now I'm at a book launch with people from other kingdoms and classes."
"You deserve it and you look beautiful," Sarai said, genuinely pleased to see her friend thriving. "And happy."
"I am," Tivel said. She glanced back at Vavous, who was watching her from across the room. "I never thought I could be this happy. I never thought anyone would want someone like me."
"He's lucky to have you," Sarai said with a smirk.
"I know," Tivel said with a smile that held real contentment. "And I'm lucky to have him."
They hugged, just two women who had suffered and survived and came out the other side stronger.
"Stay close to Garius tonight," Tivel said in a low voice. "There are a lot of unmarked males here from the foreign kingdoms. They don't understand our customs."
"I will," Sarai promised.
Unfortunately, after Tivel gets pulled, and Sarai is left alone with Garius being preoccupied with attending to people, Sarai catches the fancy of a man.
He was tall, with dark hair and darker eyes. He looked like he was from one of the foreign kingdoms.
"You're alone," he said, sitting down beside her without asking.
"I'm not," Sarai said firmly. "I'm married."
"I don't see a husband," the man said. He moved closer. "Come dance with me, Sinora..."
"No," Sarai said. She stood up to walk away but he followed her.
She went to get another drink. Once again, he appeared beside her. She tried to hide near Seraffim's table. He found her there again.
Every time she tried to escape, he was there, insisting on sitting with her, touching her arm, asking her to dance.
She couldn't get away from him. Finally, she called out through the bond to her husband.
‘Garius.’
His response was immediate.
‘I'm here. Do you need me, vixen?’
‘ Yes, please.’
He didn't waste time, within seconds, Garius appeared, pushing through the crowd.
And he was carrying Arianna on his hip.
The little princess was pulling at his hair with her tiny fists, laughing.
Garius's eyes went directly to the man sitting too close to his wife.
"What are you doing with my wife?" he asked, his voice filled with anger and danger.
The man's face went pale. He scrambled to his feet and ran away without another word.
Garius set Arianna down and pulled Sarai close to his side.
"I knew I shouldn't have left your side," he said, his jaw clenched. "Now unnecessary flies are following you about."
Sarai burst into laughter. "Are you pouting right now, Garius?" she asked.
"Of course I am," he said, turning to look at her. His expression was so serious, and so genuinely upset, that she laughed harder.
"Waht iss porting?" Arianna asked, her small voice breaking through their moment. She was still pulling at Garius's hair. "Unco... waht iss porting?"
Sarai looked at Garius and they both started laughing.
"It means being upset because someone is pretty and other people notice," Garius said to his niece, though his eyes were on Sarai.
"Bbt she iss pretie," Arianna said matter-of-factly. "Why iss tat bad?"
"It's not bad," Garius said. He pulled Sarai closer and kissed her forehead. "It just means I have to remind everyone that she's mine."
He reached down and took her hand, intertwining their fingers.
Across the room, Vavous was doing the exact same thing with Tivel, pulling her close after a similar threat from an unmarked male.
Tivel was laughing at his jealousy instead of being frightened by it.
"Come on," Garius said. "Let's go celebrate Seraffim's success. Together. Where I can see you."
Sarai squeezed his hand, amused by his possessiveness but also touched by it.
They walked through the book launch together, Arianna between them, laughing at something Garius was saying.
And Sarai realized that this was what she had fought for. This moment. This life and this love.
A man who loved her so completely that he pouted when other men looked at her.
A life where she was safe and cherished and wanted.
A future that was finally, truly hers.
And watching Seraffim laughing with Darius, watching her friend finally free from fear, made it all even sweeter.
They had all survived and found love.
And they had all earned their happily ever after.
