Chapter 265 CHAPTER 265

CASSIAN’S POV

I was Sitting in the agency’s Studio one morning when I Suddenly noticed the date on my Phone.
I Stared at it for a few Seconds before Something inside me Changed.
Our first wedding anniversary was only a few weeks away and I immediately remembered our wedding day.

Despite not wanting to get married to each other at first, we Still became a Power Couple.
I leaned back in my Chair and Smiled as an idea Suddenly entered my mind.
“Our six months anniversary was beautiful but I need to make this one unforgettable,” I whispered to myself.

I immediately grabbed my Phone and Called my assistant.
“I need you to help me arrange Something,” I Said.
He asked what I needed but I Cut him off before he Could ask too many questions.

“First of all, everything has to remain a Secret okay?” I warned him. “I don’t want my wife finding out anything before the day.”
He agreed and I immediately Started explaining my Plan.

“I want a Private beach resort in the Hamptons,” I Said.
There was a brief Silence before my assistant asked if I was Certain.
“I’m Certain,” I replied.
“I want the entire resort reserved for us. I want the beach, villa, dinner and every other detail Completely Private.”

The Hamptons was Perfect for what I had in mind.
It was close enough that we wouldn't have to deal with a long flight because of Aria's condition.
Yet the Private beach resort would give us the Peace and Privacy we needed.

I wanted a beautiful villa overlooking the ocean and a Private section of the beach.
I wanted flowers, candles, Soft music and dinner beneath the night sky.
And I wanted every Single detail to feel like it had been designed just for her.

I asked my assistant to get me the resort manager’s number… He Sent it to me and I personally gave him my instructions.
“The entire beach area must be cleared for the evening,” I Said. “And I don't want any other guests around us.”

He assured me that everything Could be arranged.
I also requested a Private yacht for a Sunset ride along the Hamptons coast.
Once the Call ended, I finally allowed myself to Smile.

That evening, I returned home and found Aria Sitting on the couch.
She was SCrolling through her Phone while gently resting one hand on her Stomach.
The moment She looked up and Saw me, her face immediately brightened.

“You’re home early,” She Said with a Soft Smile.
I walked over, wrapped my arms around her and Pulled her against my Chest.
“I missed you.” I whispered against her hair.

She looked up at me and Suddenly narrowed her eyes.
“You’re acting Strange.”
My heart nearly Stopped because I wondered if She had already figured everything out.

I forced a Calm Smile and Shook my head.
“I’m just happy to see my wife.”
She continued Staring at me like She knew I was lying.

“I know when you’re hiding Something, Cassian.” She Said.
I laughed nervously and kissed her lips.
“You’re imagining things.”
“No, I’m not.” She replied immediately and Pointed at me with a Suspicious expression.
“You’re definitely Planning Something.”

I tried to Change the Subject but She wouldn't let me.
“What are you Planning, Cassian?”
“Nothing.”
She Stared at me for a few Seconds, then She Slowly Smiled.
“That means you’re definitely hiding Something.”

I Shook my head and Pulled her closer.
“You’ll know if there’s Something to know.”
“That Sounds like a very Suspicious answer.”
I laughed and kissed her lips again.
She finally relaxed against me but I Could still see the Curiosity in her eyes.
I knew I had to be even more Careful now.

Later that night, Aria fell asleep beside me.
I waited until her breathing became Slow and Steady before reaching for my Phone.
I Checked the messages from my assistant and Carefully reviewed every arrangement.

The Private Hamptons beach resort had been reserved, the villa had been Confirmed too, also the dinner had been arranged.
Everything was going exactly according to Plan.
Then I opened the message about the necklace.

The necklace had finally arrived and was waiting in my office at the agency.
It was Simple, elegant and had a Small pendant shaped like a heart.
I had Chosen it because I wanted Something Personal instead of Something expensive.
I wanted Aria to look at it and remember that my heart belonged to her.
I Smiled as I imagined placing it around her neck.

I looked at our wedding photograph on my bedside table.
For a moment, I forgot about the Surprise and remembered everything we had been through.
There had been fear, pain and moments when I thought I would lose her.

Yet Somehow, we had continued Choosing each other.
That was why this anniversary meant So much to me.
I wanted to Celebrate the fact that we were Still here.

The next morning, I woke before Aria.
I watched her quietly and gently brushed a Strand of hair away from her face.
She shifted and I immediately Pulled my hand away.
A Small Smile appeared on my face as I imagined her reaction to the Surprise.
Then my Phone vibrated on the bedside table.

I Carefully reached for it and Checked the message.
My assistant had sent the final Confirmation about everything.
I Smiled and Started typing a quick response.
But before I Could send it, Aria Suddenly opened her eyes.

She looked directly at the Phone in my hand.
“Why are you Smiling early in the morning?” She asked Sleepily.
I immediately locked the Screen and Put the Phone beneath my pillow.

“Nothing,” I lied.
Aria Slowly Sat up and Stared at me Suspiciously.
“Cassian, you’re definitely hiding Something from me.”

I laughed nervously and reached for her hand.
She Pulled her hand away and Crossed her arms.
“Tell me what you’re hiding.”
“I’m not hiding anything.”
“Then why are you hiding your Phone?”
I had no answer.

She leaned closer and narrowed her eyes.
“You’ve been acting Strange since yesterday.”
“No, that’s not true… You’re just imagining things.”
“No, I’m not.”
She Pointed at me and I Smiled mischievously.

“I’m going to find out what you’re hiding.” She Said confidently.
I knew then that keeping the Surprise Secret was going to be harder than I expected.
Her eyes traced where my Phone was under the pillow.

“Hmm, hope it's not what I'm thinking?”
I quickly brought out my Phone and held it firmly.
She raised an eyebrow.
“Try me.”
Then She climbed out of bed and walked toward the bathroom wiggling her butt.

I couldn't stop laughing.
“Easy there with my baby.” I Said after her.
Before entering, She turned around and gave me another Suspicious look and Pointed at me.
“I’m watching you, Cassian.”

The bathroom door Closed, and I quickly Sent my assistant a message telling him to be extra Careful about texting me.
He replied almost immediately and Promised there would be no mistakes.

I Put my Phone away just before Aria returned.
She looked at me again, Clearly Suspicious.
I Smiled innocently and Pretended nothing had happened.

Over the next few days, I became extremely Careful.
Whenever my assistant Called, I walked outside or into my home Studio.
Whenever a Package arrived, I made sure to Collect it before Aria Saw it.

Whenever an email about the Hamptons resort appeared, I immediately Closed it.
But Aria noticed every Single thing I did.
She was becoming more Suspicious by the hour.

One afternoon, She walked into my home Studio without knocking.
I was on a Call with the resort manager at that exact moment.
“Yes, make sure the flowers are arranged exactly as we discussed,” I Said.
Then I Suddenly noticed Aria Standing in the doorway.
My heart nearly Stopped and I immediately ended the Call.

“What was that?” She asked.
I leaned back in my Chair and tried to remain Calm.
“What was what?”
“I heard you talking about flowers.”
“Yes,” I Said Carefully.
“What are the flowers for?”

I Paused for a moment and thought of a lie.
“For a business event.” I Said quickly.
She Stared at me.
“SHINNE need flowers for a business event?”
I nodded. “Yes.”
She Crossed her arms.

“What kind of business event?”
“A Private one.”
She narrowed her eyes.
“Where?”
I hesitated for half a Second.
“Somewhere outside the city.”

Her expression Changed.
“Outside the city?”
“Yes.”
“Cassian, what are you Planning?”
I Smiled and reached for her hand.
“You’ll find out Soon.”

She Pulled her hand away.
“I don’t like Secrets.”
“It’s a good Secret though.”
“That doesn’t make it less Suspicious.”
I laughed.
She finally Smiled despite herself.

That evening, we had dinner together.
Aria Sat across from me while telling me about her day.
I listened Carefully but I kept noticing how happy She looked.

I reached across the table and took her hand.
She looked at me with a Soft Smile.
“What?” She asked.
“Nothing.”
“Why are you Staring at me then?”
“Am I not allowed to Stare at my wife again?”
She laughed quietly.
“You are.”

“I love you, Aria.”
Her expression immediately became Soft.
“I love you too, baby.”
For a moment, neither of us Said anything.
We Simply looked at each other.
I remembered how different our lives had been when we first met.
We had fought, misunderstood each other, and faced people who wanted us apart.

There were moments when I honestly believed our marriage would never Survive.
But Somehow, we had made it through everything.
Now we were preparing to Celebrate our one year anniversary.
And I wanted it to be a memory She would treasure forever.

Later that night, after Aria fell asleep, I walked onto the balcony.
The city lights glittered below me as I Called my assistant to Confirm everything again.
In a few weeks, I would take her to the Private beach resort in the Hamptons.

No work, no family drama, no distractions, and no problems.
Just me, her, the ocean and an entire Private beach waiting for us.
Most importantly, I would remind her that I would always Choose her.

I returned to the bedroom and walked toward the bed.
Aria shifted in her Sleep as I gently lay beside her.
She immediately moved closer and rested her head against my Chest.

I wrapped my arms around her and kissed the top of her head.
My heart filled with a Peace I couldn't explain.
This woman was my home, no doubt.
