Chapter 94 Chapter 94

Chapter 94 Chapter 94

LISA'S POV
He took off his pants, and mine followed suit. He made love to me naked, the sand rough against my back as he pounded into me, releasing all the pent-up tension he had not been able to release.
I moaned and screamed, gripping his ass as he increased pace, taking me faster and faster with each passing second until we finally came in each other's arms. He collapsed on the floor beside me, the cool afternoon breeze teased my nipples, and I couldn't help thinking that I had never done something so wild before.
He put his hand under my head and pulled me closer to him, shielding me from the cold air. He kissed my sweaty hair, and we both stared at the sky.
Birds fluttered around peacefully, and I couldn't help but envy them. They looked free, unbothered. Their next meal came from all around, and their nests were only threatened by dubious humans who had no single appreciation for nature.
I shut my eyes to this peaceful thought and allowed their tweeting songs lull me to sleep.
Suddenly, his phone began to ring from inside the car, breaking the silence and disturbing the momentary peace. He groaned out, unwilling to rise up, but the persistent ringing of the phone made him get up nonetheless.
I put on my clothes as he buckled his belt and grabbed his shirt. I showed up to him just as the phone began to ring again, and he picked him up.
"Hello?"
"What the fuck is going on, Mr. Paulo? My goods worth half a billion were destroyed in less than twenty-four hours, and your safe house was sabotaged. I'm not sure we should still be doing business anymore." A masculine voice complained over the phone.
"Wait, what do you mean my safe house was destroyed?" Damien loured, and whoever was speaking would have been punched in the face if he had been right in front of him there and then.
"You should speak to your men." The man said and cut the call. Immediately, the call was cut, and another call entered. It was Duke.
"Boss, we have a huge problem."
"What is it?" Damien asked and signaled me to get into the car.
"Alexander's men attacked one of our warehouses and operation hideouts, destroying goods worth over half a billion in the last twenty-four hours, and that's not all. He also attacked one of our safe houses and took all our men captive."
"What?!" Damien turned on the ignition and stepped on the gas, reversing and then speeding out of there.
We arrived at the mansion, and he stormed out of the car ruthlessly. Duke was already waiting at the door with some of the men who had gone to inspect the damage done to the safehouse and the warehouse.
"Thirteen men were abducted, and a threat note was left that one would die by the hour after the next thirteen hours."
Damien's expression held fury in it. He crumpled the note that had been handed to him angrily. "Those bastards have no idea who they are messing with. Was there any other footage of a scene?" Damien asked.
"No, boss. They destroyed the footage and set the place on fire. We tried to retrieve somethings but everything was destroyed beyond redemption. What I did find, though, was the location from the footage you gave me earlier."
Damien nodded. " Let's go into the office." He said, and we went in together. Duke pulled out his laptop and brought up the map.
"It's a local powder factory owned by a local dealer named Ahmad Drael. He set up the factory as cover up for the mafia's underground operations. Apparently, he's been in the business for close to ten years now, and the local police haven't caught up to him yet."
"So, the syndicate leader has been hiding behind corrupt businessmen and innocent factory owners." Damien mused, running his finger across his upper lip.
"I tried to contact some of the locals who live around the vicinity close to the factory, and own some shops in that area, and they claimed that they had seen Drael speak with some weird men over the past couple of weeks. So, I hacked into the security cams of each shop and building situated a couple of kilometers in the same radius, and the third came up just this afternoon."
He pulled up footage of some cars parking in front of one of the shops. A man stepped down and was speaking to one of the store owners, and he pointed him in the direction of the factory. The window to one of the cars opened just as they were about to drive off, and a blurry image of a man in the back seat came into view.
It was hard to identify him from that vantage point, but the outline of his features was somewhat clear. He had a slender face and a well-carved beard that outlined his jaw.
"Did you run facial recognition on him?" Damien asked.
"Yes, but so far, nothing had come up. The boys are still running it, and hopefully, we can find out who he is." Duke replied.
"Make sure you do, but for now, we need to rescue our men who are currently in Alexander's captivity." He ran his hand over his lip, and I could tell that he was thinking of a plan. My body still throbbed from our lovemaking earlier on.
"What do you think we should do, boss?" Duke asked.
"Scrub through every footage outside the warehouse and the safe house, get me plate numbers, track, locate, and tell me where those cars went. I don't care how you do it, but I want every single thing scrubbed clean. They couldn't have destroyed everything." Damien said.
Duke nodded and walked out of the office. I stared at Damien. He seemed to have changed again, only this time, he was calm and collected. His fury was well containe,d and he had a lot of damage control to cover.
What worried me the most was that I felt he had a different plan entirely from what he had suggested be done.
