Chapter 516 Do You Love Me or My Body?
"How was she?"
"Paralyzed!"
As soon as Thalia got in the car, William handed her a glass cup filled with hot water. She took it and slowly rubbed it between her palms, feeling the warmth spread through her hands.
"I'll have John take you back later. I need to go to the airport."
"Business trip?"
William nodded. "Been busy lately."
Thalia understood and nodded. She was busy too. "Then I'll take you to the airport. I don't have anything going on this afternoon anyway."
Hearing this, his eyes lit up, and the way he looked at Thalia seemed somewhat restrained. Just as Thalia was about to figure out what was going on, the privacy screen in the car went up.
Before Thalia could react, William's hand reached over and wrapped around her waist.
"Want to do something fun?" William said.
"William, what are you trying to do?" Thalia hooked her arm around his neck, her fingertips running through the man's short hair, her movements deliberate and teasing.
"Stop pretending. You like it too."
Just as William was about to kiss her, Thalia's fingers shifted to grab the collar of his shirt from behind, stopping him. "Don't rush! Let's talk business first."
The man's face darkened. He didn't want to waste time, but thinking about the inevitable traffic jam at this hour, he figured it didn't matter.
"Go ahead."
"I have several promotional events coming up, and the male lead..."
"They're all with Gregory?"
"Yep!" Thalia raised an eyebrow in response.
"Are you reporting this to me in advance?"
"Pretty considerate of me, right?"
William laughed in exasperation.
Looking at the person straddling his lap, he leaned back slightly.
"You're afraid I'll come back and settle the score with you."
Thalia was speechless.
Who would want to be pinned down in bed all night, begging for mercy while still having to sweet-talk the man?
Thalia was scared.
William could get pretty crazy when his boundaries were crossed.
When it came to stamina, she was no match for him.
Craving his body was one thing; being exhausted to death by him was another.
Thalia smiled seductively and kissed the man's lips. "So smart."
"How did such a smart person end up being my husband?"
William wasn't buying it. He pulled her hands off his neck. "Cut the crap."
"Let's get down to business."
William didn't want to waste time. Thinking about how long he'd be away on this trip made him feel uneasy.
William pressed Thalia's waist, holding her body close to his. Her waist was surprisingly slim, and he couldn't get enough of it.
Thalia put her hand against the man's chest, her voice urgent. "Wait."
The man's face showed displeasure, his voice stiff. "Are you through?"
"One last thing."
"Speak," the man said tersely.
"Can Evelyn use that private club of yours on the west side? She wants to throw a thank you party."
William frowned, looking at Thalia with confusion. "Isn't there anywhere else in Emerald City?"
"There are other places, but she wants something high-end."
"The Celestia Group's clubs are only open to important people. It's fine to let her hold an event there. But what if someone plants some high-tech device inside? What do you think would happen then?"
"The people I usually entertain have deep connections. Which one of them could be openly discussed?"
Hearing William's explanation, Thalia understood.
She thought for a moment and nodded. "I get it."
The air fell silent. William looked at her. "Done? My turn now?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Thalia took the initiative—cupping William's face and kissing him, taking control while straddling him.
The man's steady, powerful heartbeat struck her soul with each thump, making her lose control.
It wasn't just William who was lost in this marriage—she was too.
Their heated breaths intertwined, like thousands of ants crawling over their skin.
"Thalia, do you love me or just my body?"
"Of course I love you!"
"Really?"
"Be good. I'm your wife. If you don't trust me, who will you trust?"
Thalia's slender fingers slipped under the man's shirt, but just as she was about to do something, he grabbed her hand. "They say you just want my body, not me as a person."
Thalia sighed inwardly. "Why don't I want anyone else's body? Isn't it because I like you?"
With that silver tongue of hers, Thalia could win over anyone, not just William.
On the airport expressway at dusk, the black car drove steadily along, concealing the movements inside.
"Mr. Brown, we're here."
Finn stood by the door and called out softly. When the car door opened, anyone with experience would know what had just happened.
Finn didn't dare say a word and followed William into the VIP lounge with his head down.
Along the way, he noticed people at the airport frequently looking back.
He glanced over, puzzled.
"Mr. Brown," Finn pointed to his own collar.
"Lipstick mark."
William was speechless.
.........
"That was intense!"
"What do you mean by intense?" In the mall parking lot, Thalia had just parked when Evelyn, wrapped in a coat, opened the car door.
As soon as the door opened, the smell of sex hit her.
"You're going to make me, a single person, jealous. Have you forgotten how I work day and night to make money to support you?"
"Stop it," Thalia got out of the car wearing a mask. "You work hard for your own grand ambitions, not for me. I barely see you anymore, so how can I count on you to support me?"
"That's harsh. Without my hard work now, how will you live the good life after your man dumps you?"
Thalia smiled. "Thanks so much."
"Are you blind? Can't you watch where you're going? Do you have eyes or not? Stop dawdling and walk faster!" Evelyn was linking arms with Thalia, heading toward the mall entrance, when they heard the sharp sound of brakes followed by angry cursing.
The girl being yelled at wore a white sweater with long brown hair falling down her back. She looked young and seemed confused by the scolding.
"She's just walking, and you're making such a fuss? You're in such a hurry, so why are you driving? Why don't you just fly there!"
Seeing Thalia go off, Evelyn glanced at her. "Who is that? You're already cursing them out."
